It is securing internet access for our whole agency. We use small firewalls at small facilities to build VPN tunnels back to the main facility. The original problem it solved was an inherent ACL in a Cisco ASA that I needed around for a specific purpose and Cisco was unwilling to do anything to make it work. Barracuda, I could do it out of the box... and that was the old X series firewalls. The cloudgens are light years ahead of them when they stopped making the X's. One thing I dislike is that the HA setup can be a bit complicated, especially when configuring it for the first time in a virtual environment. Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls help us address limited network visibility, unauthorized application usage, advanced threats, malicious web traffic, and inconsistent security policies. I'm not happy with the complexity involved when using Azure Firewall, especially when migrating. Also, there should be a feature to check if an app is blocked, and this should include a mailing mechanism. The VM-Series Virtual Firewall has helped us centralize security across multiple virtualized environments, including cloud and on-premises workloads.
