I really appreciate how Workstreet helped us obtain our ISO 27001 certification. Their expertise is invaluable in running and managing our ISO 27001 controls, particularly when we don’t have the internal bandwidth or expertise. They're very accessible, being on Slack and other preferred channels, and they conduct regular check-ins to ensure we're on top of our issues. I also like that they defended us from unnecessary auditor queries about documentation, which was really helpful. I'm based in APAC, and it wasn't until late 2025 that they were able to have someone working in the APAC timezone with us. What I appreciate most about Workstreet is its seamless integration with Vanta, which has been a major advantage for our startup. Their team brings deep experience across a wide range of security frameworks, and they handle policy development, documentation, and third-party attestations—HIPAA, GDPR, and more—all in one place. This eliminates the need to juggle multiple auditors or vendors. I also value their communication style: they stay engaged through asynchronous channels like Slack and schedule live exercises exactly when I need them. We had a 6-month engagement where we were actively building for around a week. Once our 6-month engagement expired, we were still contractually owed a penetration test and audit, which they acknowledged. Unfortunately, they refused to answer a basic question about the process, e.g. "what is the scope of the pen test", without agreeing to an extension of the agreement. Their website lacks sufficient details and no docs that were provided answered the most basic question. Interestingly, I posed as a new customer and asked the same question to their sales person and was provided answers immediately. I can understand needing an engagement to respond to detail oriented questions unique to our situation, but withholding an answer to a basic question about scope that should be addressed on the website felt frustrating. When I learned that we needed to undergo a compliance audit before securing our first customer, I felt a sense of dread. I anticipated that the process would take months and put a heavy burden on our engineering team. As a medical platform, security has always been a top priority for us, but our resources have always been limited. When Vanta suggested we collaborate with Work Street, I was initially skeptical, assuming it was just another partnership they were promoting. However, I soon discovered that Work Street genuinely acts as a partner for us. From the outset, they made the entire process more efficient. We even have a dedicated Teams channel where we can communicate with them as if they are part of our own team. I have been thoroughly impressed with how communicative and responsive @Lissa and @Stephen have been, helping us become audit-ready within just a month. I look forward to continuing our collaboration with them for years to come. Oh… And, their CEO even jumped on a call to support us when we needed extra help explaining our security audit compliance plan to a customer. They go over and above in every way. I'm not a compliance expert, and so I have a lot of questions. Having Workstreet there to support us and make sure that our policies and procedures were not only in-line to pass the tests in Vanta/the audit but also to help us make sure we were doing the right things for our business and customers was super-valuable. They are also experts in Vanta, which was helpful. All of that meant that when starting a company, I didn't have to become an expert in compliance, but can instead focus on my company, product, customers while keeping user data safe. I did end up getting automated alerts from Vanta as well as alerts from Workstreet for the same things (which can be a bit annoying), but I found myself relying more on Workstreet, as they had more context about what we were doing, and I can have a conversation about the alerts with Workstreet - I can't do that with an automated slack message Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Workstreet: Workstreet + a good auditor is a great combo, and ended up being reasonably priced as a package. I would use Workstreet again, but I would also spend time finding the right auditor, as they can run the gamut. Also, if you are crisp and clear in your comms then things work better - it's not to say you have to know everything, just explicitly ask questions you don't have an answer to. They manage a lot of stuff, so if you are explicit about what you are looking for, they can give you a much better response and support. And our main point of contact was great. Workstreet makes compliance easier - we had already signed up for Vanta, but where we are not experts on compliance, Workstreet was super-helpful in getting us through the process and essentially managing the "project of compliance. It meant I had to spend less time worrying about what came next, and instead had a trusted partner working through the process to help answer questions and keep us on track. Ease of communicaiton - they set up a slack channel which makes getting in touch with them incredibly easy, it's like chatting with a direct team member. As a seed round startup in the health-tech space we knew that achieving and maintaining HIPAA early was critical to our succuess but at the same time would be time consuming and required knowledge and know-how. Working with Workstreet has made achiving and managing our HIPAA compliance easy. I consider them a deeply embedded partner to our team and I trust them to proactively flag anything we need to be aware of, collaborate with us on big and small decisions, and are there to quickly and thorouly answer every security question we have. Their services and trusted support are everything I was hoping for in a security partner. As we grow and our security needs get more complex (i.e. now pursing SOCI and II) , I couldn't be more pleased to have Workstreet by our side to guide and support this next phase of our journey.
