Workhand Reviews & Product Details

Workhand is construction software built for working contractors who run their business from the truck, not the office. We're the contractor app — not the contractor "platform" — designed for the actual reality of construction work: phone-first, photo-driven, multi-language, and built to be useful from the cab of a work truck. Who uses Workhand: Pool builders, general contractors, remodelers, subcontractors, HVAC technicians, and landscapers running crews of 1 to 15. The Free plan is built for solo contractors testing the workflow. Pro suits crews of 2-5 doing residential work. Team scales to 15 with office staff who need cost tracking and accounting integration. What's in the app: - Per-job team chat with photo attachments, pinned messages, and crew + sub + customer access controls - Estimates with electronic signature and AI-powered line-item suggestions - Invoices including recurring billing for service routes - Daily logs with photo capture organized chronologically per job - Materials catalog with auto-population from estimates and a receiving workflow - Bid manager for tracking subcontractor quotes per trade - Subcontractor insurance tracking (General Liability, Workers' Comp, W-9) with expiration alerts - Time tracking and mileage logging, exportable to CSV for payroll - Customer selections with photo references (paint, fixtures, tile, plaster, coping) - Pool chemical logs (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium) tied to service visits - Customer review collection through job completion links - Public contractor profile with lead capture form Team plan adds: - Job costing with profit-per-job visibility (materials, labor, subs, commission, true margin) - Sales pipeline with lead status tracking from public profile + manual entry - Customer-facing job portal homeowners can check without calling the office ten times a day - Sales commission tracking per salesperson - Yearly Ledger for tax-time reporting and 1099 exports - QuickBooks Online sync for customers, invoices, and payments - Calendar feed for subscribing in Google or Apple Calendar What makes Workhand different: Flat-rate pricing, not per seat. Free plan runs one active job indefinitely with no credit card required. Pro is $35/month for up to 5 team members. Team is $89/month for up to 15. Both paid plans include a 14-day free trial with no card required to start. Compare to Buildertrend at $300+/month or Jobber at $50+ per user per month. Multi-language documents. Estimates and invoices send in English, Spanish, or Portuguese — set per customer. No other contractor app in this price range supports tri-lingual documents. Built by a real PM. Founded in 2025 by Andrew Bernardo, who spent four years coordinating residential pool construction in Florida and watched contractors lose real money because the field and the office weren't talking to each other.
