I like that Newforma is intuitive and lets me modify or add sections as needed, since every project isn't the same cookie-cutter scenario. It's collaborative across disciplines, with specifications in one location, and I can assign an RFI to multiple disciplines so everyone can view, download, upload, and respond in the platform. Having RFIs and submittals there makes things more efficient, streamlines productivity, and clears up my email. Newforma provides the updates needed for California projects, so I don't have to constantly update our construction specifications. I find the interface more user-friendly and easier for someone new to understand and work with. Setup was very easy, and we were up and running within a day or less. It works great. I don’t really like that Newforma notifies me about outstanding or pending items on weekends or at odd times. Since my email is linked to my personal devices, I get interrupted when I’m not at work. Project Center is an aging system, but even with its age, it is still light years ahead of Konekt in several areas. I like that Newforma keeps everything organized and it's pretty quick and efficient. I can log things by name, number and date, select the team I send to and return to, it gives me a nice paper trail. I find it easy to drag and drop things and hit return. Getting set up was pretty simple; I just had to enter the name, users, team, and project name and of course connect it to Procore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It doesn't save the distribution team like on Desktop Newforma to just click the button and send; you have to enter each name. Also, when using cc, you have to type name and select instead of just hitting enter like you do when you are using the to box. Search feature can be improved as well. I was introduced to Newforma Project Center at Geo Business and found it to be an interesting project management and collaboration platform for the construction and engineering industry. This would be particularly useful on complex engineering projects where large volumes of information need to be accessed quickly and accurately by different team members. From the demonstration at Geo Business, while Newforma Project Center appears useful for centralizing project information, some areas that could potentially be improved include making the interface feel even more modern and intuitive, especially for new users who may not be familiar with the system. It also seems that with a large volume of project data, the organization and filtering of information would need to be very clear to avoid users spending time searching or navigating through extensive records. The interface responsiveness is still too slow compared to other applications today. It shouldn't take 3 seconds to open every dialog box. Also dialog boxes still randomly float off screen after I've connected to a different multi-monitor configuration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the organization and efficiency that Newforma Project Center provides. Its intuitive interface on each activity center really streamlines our processes and saves us an incredible amount of time and effort. We can easily access information and have everything at our fingertips, which means we are not wasting time searching for documents. New team members find it especially useful when joining projects. The setup was really easy because we had tremendous support from the sales and technical staff at Newforma, making integration into our systems smooth. I like that Newforma Project Center is a really robust piece of software and has great support. It allows for a lot of handy report generation, which is valuable to me as I'm able to get insights on thousands of projects at a time and sort by project manager. Server setup can be a bit of an involved process, and the app's speed depends a lot on network speed. The app can seem to lock up under (rare) slow network conditions, but using the app with the correct server setup solves the problem. Good architecture is crucial.
