Its intuitive interface on each activity center really streamlines our processes and saves us an incredible amount of time and effort. We can easily access information and have everything at our fingertips, which means we are not wasting time searching for documents. New team members find it especially useful when joining projects. The setup was really easy because we had tremendous support from the sales and technical staff at Newforma, making integration into our systems smooth. We were able to set up training through Newforma easily, and with their continued support, we could roll it out effectively. **What do you dislike about Newforma?** I find the former viewer markup tools to be simplistic and a little outdated, even very archaic. It allows for a lot of handy report generation, which is valuable to me as I'm able to get insights on thousands of projects at a time and sort by project manager. The support is quick to solve server-side tech problems, which is also important. **What do you dislike about Newforma?** Server setup can be a bit of an involved process, and the app's speed depends a lot on network speed. The app can seem to lock up under (rare) slow network conditions, but using the app with the correct server setup solves the problem. It’s a huge time saver, especially for compiling information requests in IT. I like how the RFI and Submittals management feature works well between AEC companies, and the 365 connector is a standout aspect. It makes processes smooth for our CA department and helps us manage our file system, which is important for us. The CA tools for RFIs and Submittals are the most commonly used items, and their ability to be shared with external team members who do not have a Newforma license is really beneficial. The search everything tool allows looking for digital project-related items through one platform, including email, documents of all sorts like PDFs, Word, Excel files, AutoCAD files, and more, with a viewer for almost all document types. It also facilitates organized tracking of RFIs and submittals from original submission to closeout. Switching from Newforma Project Center to Konekt when we went entirely to cloud-based data storage was a smooth process. Konekt was remarkably easy to set up and get started; migrating 1000+ projects from NPC to Konekt had very few hiccups, and it is simpler to manage than NPC. I also find the improved processes, like filing project-related email, to be really helpful. **What do you dislike about Newforma?** Newforma Konekt is constantly being improved and new features are released, but not all of the features from Newforma Project Center are available yet. I would like to see the addition of the teams and meetings feature similar to Newforma Project Center. **What problems is Newforma solving and how is that benefiting you?** Newforma Konekt provides a common place to access project data in multiple locations and offers strong search capability. My company rolled this software out to us about a year ago and I have been the one responsible for implementation and training within my department which means I use it nearly every day for one reason or another. Like all new software, there is a bit of a learning curve, but for the most part basic navigation in the Project Center and the Outlook Add-In are very simple and easy to use. Though this is an incentivized review, that has in no way affected the content. I am a huge fan of Newforma and already do recommend it to those I know. Lori and the support team have always been incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and quick to respond. On top of that, there is a very extensive library of guides and how-tos that often answer my questions before needing to contact support. There are many features I haven't gotten to use much yet, but the Action Items, Meeting Minutes, and InfoExchange have been a huge time-saver for our group. There seem to be multiple ways to do almost everything in the Project Center which is really useful to get all users on board with whichever way is easier for them. **What do you dislike about Newforma?** As a general user, my team's biggest struggle has I think come from the implementation with our system. I'm told this isn't a problem with 64-bit, but my outlook 32-bit has caused NPC to crash a number of times. It's been really frustrating that the HTML5 add-in has had such limited functionality compared to the old COM add-in though thankfully some of this functionality was restored with the latest version release. I also really dislike the way email filing is processed. Not sure if this is for us specifically or just how Newforma does things, but it files for one user at a time ordered alphabetically. The problem comes when one user has an error (in my case is typically due to project number or linked folder changes) that causes the the file processing to crash, it will restart back at the top of the list then crash again when it hits the same user if the error hasn't been resolved. This has lead to many instances of employee emails not getting filed for days until someone notices and corrects the problem. I really wish there were a way for the auto-file to skip the individual user who is causing the crash so the remaining users don't see a delay in processing. **What problems is Newforma solving and how is that benefiting you?** Emails lost in the inboxes of employees who are no longer at the company. Better organization and documentation of project documents, submittal reviews, and design changes. Easier collaboration between offices and departments, especially in terms of company contacts and visibility of information. We are still converting our typical processes to utilize more of Newforma, but as we progress it is more and more clear that this all is helping with overall uniformity and efficiency. ### 11. Our projects often span many years, beginning with initial concepts, feasibility studies, and educational specifications, and continuing all the way through to project closeout. The ability to store emails and reassign different Project Managers over time is a significant advantage. When a new Project Manager takes over a project, it is very helpful for them to review the correspondence to quickly get up to speed. Additionally, we sometimes use the search feature to revisit important design decisions made earlier in the project. **What do you dislike about Newforma?** The email search functionality leaves much to be desired. Additionally, we often encounter the issue of emails being saved as duplicates when different users file them. It would be helpful if there were a way to prevent these duplicate emails from being created. It allows me to be efficient with my time and helps categorize the difference between various items such as RFI's, and large transfer files. **What do you dislike about Newforma?** I would appreciate if there could be a dark mode version because the white display really strains the eyes, especially for people that work on the computer constantly. The window can be so big sometimes, even though you can minimize it. But then you're always working with new windows that are white and it won’t allow you to minimize the main window when opening an RFI or submittal. A dark mode would really help that. It is common in many programs these days and would help streamline the dark mode workflow. **What problems is Newforma solving and how is that benefiting you?** Newforma Project Center lets me track RFIs and submittals and send large files to consultants and clients.
