It's also easy to replace a video everywhere by just replacing the video in Wistia. **What do you dislike about Wistia?** It's hard to edit the transcript if the video changes and I wish there were more details about analytics without needing to open analytics for each individual video. Like I'd love to see a way to see analytics for engagement summarized at the channel level that includes how much of each video was watched. **What problems is Wistia solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Wistia to host videos in channels that are embedded in our help center, shared as resources via emails or Slack, or embedded into Chameleon. It's great to have an easy way to replace a video in all locations by swapping it out in Wistia and it's an easy way to share access to a video link. We use the analytics to see how users are engaging with videos, but not as much as we would if the analytics were summarized. ### 3. The AI features, especially for generating transcripts and editing clips, are impressive. I also enjoy the wide range of customization options and the various interactive features available. The platform is very user-friendly, making implementation and embedding videos on webpages a straightforward, turnkey process. Wistia stands out as a great product. Having used it at several organizations, I value the creative control it offers over video players. I also find the turnstile system for capturing viewer emails particularly useful. The main features we use include: selecting a thumbnail, determining what the playback video options are, removing comments, embedding it into the website and branding the video with our colors and look. We also use the AI that allows for auto-transcripts and captions. We've used their live webinar features a few times -- the broadcast is very high def (almost too good, if you know what I mean), but the sound could be better using basic microphones (compared to GTW). *Updated 5/7/2025* We use their new feature for our webinars to cut out social media-length videos with video captions to post to our social media and use in campaigns. **What do you dislike about Wistia?** The price of Wistia has substantially increased which may be a barrier to entry. The price has made us remove videos that we were archieving for reference. **What problems is Wistia solving and how is that benefiting you?** The web service we use doesn't have a native video upload that works for us, so we use Wistia for embedding videos onto our external website and hosting videos in our LMS. We've also used it to record live video conversations as a split screen. It easy to use when dealing with video and media uploads, and with more and more services veing provided, it's becoming even more evident that we'll need to implement update updates on our side to further intergrate services within on our own platform. Plus the few times' I've dealt with customer survices have been very plesent and the team memebers are very knowledgable with a quick turnaround time. **What do you dislike about Wistia?** It's hard to find something to dislike, but from my perspective as a desinger, and someone who is very visual, I find the interface can be a bit hard to navigate from time to time. I've gotten lost on more than one ocassion in the past looking for something. Requires extra engineering work to implement the proper urls. We embed the videos into Salesforce KB articles and Wistia makes that easy also by generating embed code that is easy to copy and paste. Our training team also uses Wistia extensively! **What do you dislike about Wistia?** With Salesforce KB articles, our users cannot expand the videos when they click on the embedded video in the article. We use this for almost every landing page we make. **What do you dislike about Wistia?** Its only downside I guess is it doesn't contribute so directly to a discoverability strategy like posting on Youtube does. The integration with HubSpot adds some nice features, but is still limited by the Marketing Events object. **What do you dislike about Wistia?** For the Events, using the Marketing Events object in HubSpot for tracking can be limiting with your workflows. Zapier also limited for Events. Clearly the primary functionality is still video plays, but if Events/Webinars are going to be a core feature the integrations need to step up on those sides as well. **What problems is Wistia solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to score prospects based on the percentage of video watched is a great feature. Also being able to see what people watch and when adds a lot of flexibility to our nurtures and follow-up. ### 48. Also note that their support is only by email not by phone.
