I love that Wistia is easy to use for hosting our video products and podcasts. The Channels feature helps our products have a professional look without the development expense. I also find it easy to embed on our site, making sharing videos in-house and hosting videos for our customers straightforward. The initial setup was very easy, which is great for our team. I think Channels could benefit from more customization options. Specifically, I'd like to see gated access to the Channels via email or password, not just individual media assets. Also, the opacity controls for light and dark modes could be better so we can adjust visibility to our liking. I also find the podcast hosting/distribution lacking because it doesn't accommodate long-form videos for platforms like Spotify or Apple. We've had issues with file sizes being too large for distribution from within Wistia. Additionally, better integration with BigCommerce would be nice. I like Wistia's webinar features a lot. Our previous tool wasn't as intuitive, but Wistia provides a lot of flexibility and allows us to make webinars much more creative and engaging. I appreciate that we can easily add webinars to our video library and feature them on our website as on-demand webinars. Wistia simplifies video management for us, as we can manage, update, and scale our videos effortlessly. I don't like that right-clicking on Wistia videos that are hosted on our website gives random website visitors information about Wistia. I wish that could be kept hidden from front-end users. It would be better if there wasn't a button that tells users what video tool we are using or promotes their site within our videos by offering buttons to click on such as 'about Wistia'. I find Wistia really user-friendly and quick, which is a huge plus for me. The ability to easily edit videos and use the social clips button to take valuable clips for social media is a big bonus. I like that downloading completed podcasts, regardless of their length, is simple. The biggest issue I have with Wistia is that it sometimes does not play audio after I've stepped away from the computer for more than 30 seconds. So then I lose my spot wherever I'm editing in the video. I have to restart it and refresh the whole page. And it doesn't take away the edits, I just can't hear anything, so I have to refresh it and start from the beginning of the video and then I can hear it again, but it's pretty annoying to have to do that every time, especially for a longer video. We are currently running into issues with allowing colleagues without a Wistia login to record videos. I sent a link to begin a recording and they are able to do so but they can review the footage before submitting it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find Wistia to be very easy to use and organize. Analytics are really easy to look at, giving me quick access to reports that show how many people have watched the videos, engagement statistics, and form submissions. The organizational features and dashboard save time and allow me to report back to the team on what's working. I also appreciate how Wistia generates a summary for each video, which makes it easy to use in other AI tools for social captions and more. One of the most valuable features is Turnstile, which allows us to capture leads directly within videos without disrupting the viewer experience. Combined with customizable CTAs, it makes video a much more actionable part of our marketing strategy. The analytics are another major strength—Wistia’s heatmaps and engagement data provide clear insight into how viewers are interacting with content, which helps us continuously optimize performance.

The platform is also incredibly easy to use. Embedding videos is seamless, and integrations with tools like HubSpot (we use this) make it simple to connect video engagement to broader campaigns. It would be great to pull people onto the stage to clarify questions, share screens, etc., rather than relying on chat, which has a lag. It would be nice to easily integrate it with Make to streamline webinar creation—progress has been made, but I still have to change things manually. The attendee count during the webinar doesn't update accurately, and I can't see the engagement info afterward. When using the present feature, it should appear at the bottom of the screen like a share screen instead of needing multiple clicks to bring it back up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
