As a speaker and participant, whova's features made it easy to connect with participants and other attendees, as well as promote my session and provide handouts. **What do you dislike about Whova?** Some things were a little hard to find, like how to add a copresenter, figuring out uploading handouts, and finding the social promotion features. Real-time updates are handy, and the digital version of the event schedule was also handy to have in the palm of my hand instead of lugging around a heavy notebook with paper form. Can take notes under each session, this is helpful. All the resources you need for a successful event are at the palm of your hand, or on your laptop accessible anywhere. When a time shifts forward or backward, organizers can push out messages to attendees alerting them. This actually happened at our Annual Business Meeting. Early schedules said our Service Awards dinner would begin at 6 p.m., but it was shifted to 6:30 p.m. and a cocktail reception in a different location was scheduled from 6-6:30 p.m. **What do you dislike about Whova?** There is nothing that I dislike per se. There are so many features the app offers that allow users to interact with information and other users on the app. From creating group messages, to sharing photos, or staying up to date on posts by the event organizers, and much more, being able to have one app that can do it all makes the experience more convenient and enjoyable for users. Being able to use the whova app consistently leading up to the event made me better informed and more well prepared for it. **What do you dislike about Whova?** There's not much that I really disliked about whova, as it was always working reliably for me. Maybe certain elements about the layout could be improved, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it now. Scanning attendees in to conference via QR codes was a breeze. Having the full agenda and my agenda at my fingertips was perfect for knowing when and where to go. Once I created my profile, I was able to navigate around and find places to upload suggestions for local restaurants and hangouts for conference attendees from out of town. I was able to look through suggestions on engaging, list my contact information, review the people that would be attending the conference, and group myself according to what would bring value to my experience. I have to say, being first on the leaderboard was a rush! I knew once more people engaged it wouldn't last, but I enjoyed the competition! It was fun to see who the real competitive people were - lol! It was really useful to know in advance who was attending so I could make sure to catch them in person. Being able to send a quick "hello" through the app made it possible to do so because they were looking for me as well. Being able to create my own personal agenda and NOT have to keep up with a hard copy - that was wonderful! The shuffling of books, papers, and materials has always distracted me but this way all I had to keep up with was my phone. That was worth it by itself! It was nice to be able to exchange contact information through the app because I did not get to speak to everyone and it gave me a chance to reach out to them anyway. Plus, when I got back to my office I didn't have to figure out which card went with which person because the app showed me their face. I am terrible with remembering faces with names and this was better than a cheat sheet! Being able to set meet-ups and giving people the anonymity to decide if they were interested helped similar interests find each other. The lost and found, the photos, logistics!!! Oh my! There was nothing bad about it. The convenience, the organization, the networking, the ability to disperse prizes - the ease of use and understanding - probably made it one of the best conferences I have attended (and I have attended 100's). I got so much more from the experience because I did not have to concern myself with the nuts and bolts of the conference. I set my own agenda, created my own relevant connections, and kept up with contacts afterward. I have already suggested it to several colleagues and will definitely be using it if I ever organize a conference myself! Thank you for this innovation!! I see it changing the face of networking and conferences all around! **What do you dislike about Whova?** The only down side I can see is that people stayed so engaged with the app they may not have been paying as much attention to the presenters! Good thing the app had places to ask questions from each session so people had to engage! Maybe fewer emails and texts, but really, I didn't feel spammed as most of these type things usually do. Keep the emails and texts specifically relevant based on what the attendee engages with and you will hear zero complaints from me!! I had to really get ticky to find these "dislikes" because they both have upsides to the downsides! **What problems is Whova solving and how is that benefiting you?** Registration, number of attendees and inventory count, organization, material overload, networking, logistical issues. It benefits me because I am able to focus my attention on the conference at hand and not "where is the bathroom" type stuff. For instance, I was talking with someone outside of one of the rooms, his coworkers showed up and interrupted our conversation, but you could tell he still wanted to talk. So I looked at his name tag and did an attendee search and found him. Sent him a direct message and we continued the conversation over the messages tab throughout the week. Also, I did this with everyone I met. It was really quick to find someone and continue on a conversation beyond face-to-face. **What do you dislike about Whova?** The notifications got confusing because they were all piled into one notification icon. It would be better to split the notifications as to the ones that come from your messages vs. the ones that come from specific channels. I couldn't keep up with the notifications throughout the event.
