Weeksort is shift scheduling software for a workplace that builds its own week, centred on one button. A manager configures the positions that get scheduled, the qualifications each requires, and named sets of hour limits — hours per day, week or month, consecutive days, rest between shifts — applied per person. The week's shifts are drawn on a grid of positions against days, to the minute, across midnight where needed, needing several people, in three levels of coverage, or copied from a template or a past week. Then Auto-assign works through every open slot and, in seconds, proposes who works where. It keeps to eligibility, approved time off, unavailability, the shifts people marked Can't and each person's hour limits, with rest and days in a row counted within the week, never books anyone on two overlapping shifts, staffs mandatory shifts first, favours what people asked for and, by default, spreads hours towards each person's weekly target. A slot it cannot fill by the rules stays open, with the reason. It can work around the people the manager has already placed by hand, or plan the whole week afresh. The manager reviews the proposal, applies it or not, and can edit it afterwards or undo it from the builder. How much say staff have is the workplace's choice. A week can be built and published without asking anyone, with no Can't answers allowed, handovers off and each person seeing only their own shifts. Or staff rank every shift, trade shifts between themselves and see the whole schedule. Nobody approves filed preferences or unavailability: staff enter both themselves. Time off and claims on open shifts are a manager's decision. For handovers and swaps, a workplace setting decides whether a manager approves the result or the two people settle it between themselves. Publishing asks who may see the whole schedule and tells staff in the app's inbox, and by email for anyone who turns that on; each person reads their own shifts in their own language. When a published week changes, the manager chooses whether only the people affected are told, or everyone. Reports on assignments over any date range with per-person totals export to Excel and CSV, as does each week, and the roster prints. The interface is available in twelve languages including right-to-left Arabic and Hebrew, chosen per person. It runs in a browser, works on a phone browser and can be added to a phone's home screen, and there is an Android app on Google Play. Weeksort records who is scheduled to work. It is not a time clock, does not calculate pay and is not a statutory record of hours worked. Weeksort is made by Solvern.
