What do you like best about Vuforia Engine?

vuforia engine, is a very professional solution to make augmented reality in unity, it has a very complete documentation and examples, it is very robust and the engine is frequently updated to the latest versions of unity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Power packed yet beginner friendly"

What do you like best about Vuforia Engine?

Vuforia by PTC has been an entry point for a lot of XR developers including myself. Their patented Image tracking is still the best in the industry and easy to use and the recent addition of the area targets is incredible. Vuforia cloud with cloud targets is a pretty impressive service to manage an app with multiple targets. They also have very good community support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vuforia Engine?

Vuforia is a freemium SDK and almost all the features are unlocked if you can ignore the watermark, it is the best for AR prototypes. The ground plane detection can be improved a bit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Vuforia Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?

Right from Image Target recognition to SLAM-based experiences to Area target-based ones, Vuforia got it all. Only your imagination is the limit. You can literally target and build a product for any industry using Vuforia SDK. Recently I built an Indoor-navigation solution using their area target and iPhone's LiDAR camera which is proving to be quite helpful especially in challenging times like Covid. * It's almost drag and drop application augmented reality application creator, import the SDK to Unity game engine and use it to create quick AR experiences.

* Easy interface

Vuforia has very bad surface tracking integration. In order to track a surface, a lot of effort needs to be put. Additionally, when uploading images on Vuforia for image tracking, better information can be provided to show how a developer can achieve better tracking with images and examples.
