In a previous chapter of my life, I worked as a singer and songwriter, which gave me experience with audio editing programs like ProTools and Fruity Loops. Many years down the line, I found myself needing to draw on those skills again when I became the video editor for my own business. When I first tried VideoPad, I was pleased to see familiar features from my days using ProTools and Fruity Loops, such as drag-and-drop functionality and track management. Although I noticed some similarities between VideoPad and the older audio editing programs I’ve used in the past, I still experienced a bit of a learning curve. I think this is mostly because I’m not a video editor by trade—just someone stepping into the role. Maybe that’s intentional, and the software isn’t really designed for beginners. I’m not sure where else to mention this, so I’ll leave my comment here, with the understanding that the difficulty could very well be due to my own inexperience.
