"Simple, Intuitive Audience Engagement with Rock-Solid PowerPoint Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

Vevox is a fantastic audience engagement platform that I have found to be simple, and intuitive to use. Its PowerPoint integration is reliable and works exceptionally well. I particularly appreciate that it avoids unnecessary aesthetic design features that could slow down performance, especially when running PowerPoint presentations with embedded Vevox quiz slides while screen sharing or recording. I use Vevox regularly for knowledge-check quizzes at the end of lectures and for revision sessions before student exams. The platform enables students to self-assess their understanding while also allowing me to identify common areas of confusion and address them in real time. I primarily use the multiple-choice and word cloud features, as these closely mirror the question formats students will encounter in their assessments, helping them prepare more effectively. I am looking forward to exploring additional features, such as the demographics tool and AI features which I have not yet used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

While my overall experience has been very positive, I would appreciate greater control over the default slide layout. At present, some Vevox elements, such as the respondent count box, can obscure information on our teaching template slides, requiring manual repositioning to maintain visibility of key content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kate Beadell of Vevox

Thank you for your review! We're delighted to hear that Vevox's simplicity, intuitive design, and PowerPoint integration are helping you deliver effective lectures and revision sessions. It's especially great to know that quizzes and word clouds are helping students assess their understanding and helping you to adapt your teaching in real time. We also appreciate your feedback on slide layout customisation and will share your comments with our team as we continue to enhance the presentation experience.

"Engagement Booster for Large Lectures"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

I find Vevox to be an easy tool to use, and it encourages engagement, especially in large introduction lectures where over 200 students might be hesitant to ask questions. It allows students to ask questions anonymously, which is a big plus. I also find it very effective for setting the scene in introduction lectures, thanks to its word cloud tool. This tool helps gauge students' perceptions or understandings of a particular topic. Additionally, the multiple-choice quizzes are great for recapping or ensuring student understanding, working well both during and at the end of a lecture. It's also useful for changing things up when attention starts to wane, providing a fresh change of scene with its various tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

Nothing comes to mind Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kate Beadell of Vevox

Thank you for your review Rachael! We're thrilled to hear that Vevox is helping boost engagement in your large lectures. It's great to know that features like anonymous Q&A, word clouds, and quizzes are helping students participate more confidently and stay focused throughout sessions. We're especially pleased that Vevox is supporting teaching at scale while making it easy to gauge understanding and encourage interaction.

"Vevox: Versatile Questions, Seamless PowerPoint Plugin, and Great Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

I tried several audience response tools before I found Vevox, and I am eternally grateful to the person who recommended Vevox to me. I think that Vevox is by far the best platform for the following reasons:

Major pros:

- versatility of questions you can ask (for instance, I wanted the audience to guess a number on a scale from 0 to 1 with 2 decimal places and display a histogram of the guesses along with an average guess- I can tell you that no other platform was capable of anything close to this)

- plugin for PowerPoint works like a charm- (you do not need to upload your presentation to some Vevox online platform and display it from there, instead, Vevox plugs into your PowerPoint and you can add the questions between your slides. This is really important because the way your slides work outside PowerPoint is not uniform and some features like animations may not work in and online environment, some formatting may not be the same, etc.)

Minor pros:

- ease of audience connection to the platform (there is the QR code and then there is the web address where a session ID can be entered)

- even the free version has more features and works better than the free versions of other platforms

- great customer support Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

For the results to be displayed properly you need to have a Vevox Plugin installed on the PowerPoint that your presentation is being played from. If you are presenting at a conference, this means that you need to check with the organizer of the conference that they install Vevox upfront or ask that you display the presentation from your own laptop where you have Vevox Plugin installed. You also need to be connected to the internet (obviously). These are not "cons" in a true sense, because there is really no way in which an audience response tool can function without being connected to the internet, but mere warnings to novice users. Response from Kate Beadell of Vevox

We're thrilled to hear that Vevox has been a game-changer for your presentations! The versatility of questions and seamless PowerPoint integration are indeed some of our key features. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to have you as a satisfied customer.

"Extremely Intuitive All-in-One: Vevox Delivers Max Engagement with Minimum Friction"
5/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

Extremely Intuitive: It's effortless to navigate and easy to learn for both hosts and participants.

All-in-One Toolkit: Keeps live polling, audience Q&A, structured questions, and post-event surveys seamlessly under one roof. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

Single Active Session Limit: You can only run one session at a time per login. While a single user login is usually sufficient for our day-to-day needs, it can be a bottleneck on the rare occasions we need to run 2–3 concurrent sessions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kate Beadell of Vevox

Thank you for your review! We're delighted to hear that Vevox's intuitive design and all-in-one engagement tools are helping you connect with your audience throughout your events.

We also appreciate your feedback on concurrent sessions. While our Free, Starter and Pro licences support one active session at a time, organisations that need to run multiple sessions simultaneously may benefit from our Enterprise or Institutional plans.

Thanks again for your support!

"Empowers and Personalizes Student Learning Effortlessly"
5/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

I like that Vevox is more of a superpower than just a pedagogical tool. It enables fast-paced and specific educational tasks to be attractively packaged and shared with students. It's versatile, enjoyable, and allows me to hear all my students, responding to each by capturing their individual work. Vevox enables students to provide their best work without anxiety, while also letting me show them how to improve further. This strengthens the teacher-student relationship and quickens the pace of progression, making it visible immediately to the students. I also appreciate how it allows the new AI generations to use mobile technology productively in user-friendly ways. The setup of Vevox was very easy, and using it alongside Quizlet connected to Moodle works well. Paying for a Vevox account was the best choice I've made after being unhappy with Moodle as the only institutional platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

The improvement that would help in these contexts is the data download. Everything arrives in spreadsheets which is great for viewing and thinking, but not so great for using. In other words, I would present to a whole group all their work (anonymised) with comments and feedback. They all learn from each other as well as me. I learn from them. But as it stands, I have to wrap Excel cells and cut/paste multiple times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kate Beadell of Vevox

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Vevox Chris! We're thrilled to hear that it has empowered and personalized your student learning effortlessly. We appreciate your feedback about the data download and will definitely take it into consideration for future improvements.

"Streamlined Attendance and Engagement with Vevox"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

I like using Vevox to take attendance in my large enrollment courses. It is streamlined, and the grades flow directly into Canvas, my LMS. I also like using it for student engagement and Q&A. Being able to moderate questions in a large enrollment scenario is perfect, and I can directly follow up with students because their questions are linked to their email addresses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

I wish I could create folders to keep my surveys organized. I've learned to use meaningful names instead of "Week1" in order to more easily find what I'm looking for in future semesters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kate Beadell of Vevox

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with using Vevox for attendance and engagement. We understand the importance of organization and will take your feedback about creating folders for surveys into account for future improvements. In the meantime, you may find our Labels feature helpful, as it enables you to tag sessions and quickly filter them when needed. "Easy-to-Use Polling with Great Features, Fast Results, and PowerPoint Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

Easy to use, great features, can download graph images and data export. Wide range of measurements / rating scales available. Great way of collecting votes during meetings, provides the results quickly. It integrates with PowerPoint, making it easy to run the polls and then show the results. It was also very easy to learn how to use it, thanks to the help pages with pictures and video instructions, and the clear, intuitive dashboard. The pricing is reasonable. The support team responds promptly. - Just a great product! I will recommend this to all my colleagues! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

"Easy-to-Use Polling with Great Support, Though Content Organization Can Be Tricky"
4/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

I find Vevox easy to use, and the Vevox team are really great and supportive. I value the polling, quizzes, and ability to access the data through an API. I use polls and quizzes to get my students to answer and assess their learning. The initial setup was very good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

I find managing and organizing content difficult at times. I’d like better ways to store master sets of content and to distinguish them from the copies made each time we run a workshop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Engagement and Support Powerhouse with Minor Integration Hiccups"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

I like that Vevox gives all students a voice and increases engagement, making it easy to carry out active learning strategies in classes of all sizes. I think it's very easy to get up and running without much of a learning curve. I really appreciate their customer support, and access to our account manager, including regular meetings, which has made university-wide implementation possible. We love Joe Probert, who has provided us with many levels of excellent support over the last year. It was great to have the support of our customer success manager, Joe, for the initial setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

The PowerPoint integration is a bit unstable and I wish the interface would be improved like the dashboard access. I would appreciate a more sophisticated interface, more stability of the plug-in (it tends to crash a lot) and there are missing features when compared to the dashboard version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kate Beadell of Vevox

Thank you for your review! We’re really pleased to hear how Vevox is supporting active learning and engagement across classes of all sizes, and that our support team and account management have helped with university wide adoption. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to Joe.

We also appreciate your feedback on the PowerPoint integration and interface, and this is an area we continue to work on improving and your insights are extremely valuable as we work to enhance this experience.

Thanks again for sharing your experience.
