Vevox Reviews & Product Details

I tried several audience response tools before I found Vevox, and I am eternally grateful to the person who recommended Vevox to me. I think that Vevox is by far the best platform for the following reasons:

Major pros:

- versatility of questions you can ask (for instance, I wanted the audience to guess a number on a scale from 0 to 1 with 2 decimal places and display a histogram of the guesses along with an average guess- I can tell you that no other platform was capable of anything close to this)

- plugin for PowerPoint works like a charm- (you do not need to upload your presentation to some Vevox online platform and display it from there, instead, Vevox plugs into your PowerPoint and you can add the questions between your slides. This is really important because the way your slides work outside PowerPoint is not uniform and some features like animations may not work in and online environment, some formatting may not be the same, etc.)

Minor pros:

- ease of audience connection to the platform (there is the QR code and then there is the web address where a session ID can be entered)

- even the free version has more features and works better than the free versions of other platforms

For the results to be displayed properly you need to have a Vevox Plugin installed on the PowerPoint that your presentation is being played from. If you are presenting at a conference, this means that you need to check with the organizer of the conference that they install Vevox upfront or ask that you display the presentation from your own laptop where you have Vevox Plugin installed. You also need to be connected to the internet (obviously). These are not "cons" in a true sense, because there is really no way in which an audience response tool can function without being connected to the internet, but mere warnings to novice users. Very user friendly platform, easy to use and easy to go through in it. Once i created the profile i immediately manage to create a quiz and to use a variety of features in order to customize it with no problem. So i would say i saved a lot of time and gave me flexibility because of its features in order to create a quiz game. And also very very very good support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nothing to dislike in vevox. As i said it is very user friendly. About the features maybe i would suggest if they can somehow integrate more music options ( maybe synced with spotify for example) That would be really helpful in order to have more music options. And also, another suggestion it would be to have an <<drag & drop >> option for the features that seem on the screen in order to be able to customize with more details. I love how Vevox is very simple and so engaging to use - even technophobes can join in the fun! It brings a fun and engaging element to what could be a mundane presentation, our students are always excited to take part in interactive activities, especially quizzes using Vevox. Not much to be honest - sometimes it's hard to express to potential users how effective it can be, without giving an actual demonstration. So it may be dismissed as something that is "too technical" or "too gimmicky" until it's actual demonstrated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Legacy PowerPoint dependency: Some users still rely on older PPT integrations, which can feel outdated compared to the web-based experience.

I like Vevox for its customized branding and the way it integrates with other webcast platforms such as Zoom, Webex, Teams, and PowerPoint. It's AI-friendly, which helps us create questions and answer options easily. I appreciate the options to add timers and music for polls, making the sessions more engaging. Vevox allows us to export all the enriched data we need, and overall, it makes life easy by showing the audience real-time action on the platform. Maybe have better short term subscriptions? We only run elections once per annum and we have checked that the weekly subscription would be more expensive than the annual plan. So we are forced to take the annual plan even if we don't use it for the whole year. So maybe a monthly or quarterly option at a cheaper rate would work for us. I really appreciate that with Vevox, we don't need to develop our own system, which is a huge relief. The built-in templates for Q&A and voting are fantastic and make it super easy to set up and brand quickly. I've found the customer support to be fantastic as well. When I'm demoing to clients and need to build out interactivity, there are plenty of examples to share, which definitely makes us look good. There are lots of things I like about Vevox, it's hard to narrow it down! Definitely near the top of the list is the fantastic support provided by the Vevox team. Since becoming a Vevox customer six years ago, our university has continued to have a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with Vevox. The team are invested in our success, and go above and beyond to check in, support and encourage our usage of the platform. The platform itself has a fantastic UI, the best of any similar product on the market. It is fresh, clean, modern, intuitive and so easy to use. This is vital for university lecturers, many of whom would not have strong digital skills, so being able to quickly and easily pick up a digital tool for their teaching is so important. Lastly, the continuous, steady development of new features for Vevox is another fantastic dimension of the platform. The platform is so different to when we first used it six years ago, and has so many new features added, many of which were developed based on customer feedback. I really appreciate Vevox for how it helps with student engagement in both small and large groups. It makes it easy to engage students, especially since not all of them are confident to speak. I like that I can engage them in different ways through polls, surveys, and Q&A. The anonymity feature is great, allowing students to participate without fear, and I can choose to have responses anonymous or identified. I also value being able to download the data at the end for further analysis. I think Vevox could improve by offering new features and more advanced analytics options instead of just downloading data as Excel. I appreciate being able to create interactive classes and how seamlessly the quizzes are integrated into the PowerPoints. My students are impressed by the way the correct answer is displayed. I also value that the platform is anonymous, not time-based, and doesn't highlight wrong answers with a red light. This really helps reduce students' anxiety and makes them feel more comfortable participating. I enjoy the variety of quizzes available—not just multiple choice, but also options like pinning on images or guessing a number. It is very easy to impement and reuse in following years. I also love that I can collect data about participation and identify muddy points during the class.
