  ### 1. Vanco is Great for Student Fees

**What do you like best about Vanco?**

I find that Vanco RevTrak Web Store is easy to setup for our public school district.  We utilize the webstore for a variety of district events that require a registration fee, and RevTrak is a perfect solution to collecting those payments.

**What do you dislike about Vanco?**

There are times that we need to collect additional information for a purchase, and it is not always easy or intuitive to add the additonal fields to collect the data.  In addition, finding the correct report that displays the payment information as well as the additional information that needed to be collected is not intuitive, but does exist.

**What problems is Vanco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We began using Vanco RevTrak Web Store for our district's student Chromebook fee payments.  Connecting a link to the webstore from our student information system was easy and allowed parent/guardians an alternative to sending in cash, checks or money orders.  Prior to using Vanco RevTrak payments for Chromebook fees could only be accepted by cash, check or money order.  The time required to process the payments was long, and the ability to track a payment was only determined by the information manually entered into our Student Information System.  Although the option to send cash, check or money order is still available, once we moved to the secure Vanco RevTrak Web Store as our primary collection process, the payment details are immediately available, easily tracked in the system, and refunds are now done instantly by the click of a button as opposed to having our Finance Department manually issuing a check that could take weeks for process.

**What do you like best about Vanco?**

I do like the fewer steps feature. Our preschool parents use the app far more than our church members.

**What do you dislike about Vanco?**

History, specifically lack thereof! The tuition payments may or may not show up in the parent's history. I am refunding way too many tuition payments each month because they duplicate payments. I really wish we had a Vanco rep who would have contacted us and gone through the upcoming changes when the new sight rolled out. I have been told support is one way only. They respond when questions are asked, but there isn't any proactive representation. If we had a rep who could look at our usage and make intelligent suggestions based on our specific use, it would have eliminated many headaches. We asked the wrong question for years, before someone there offered to set up a "sub-account", which solved many of our issues. However, having a subaccount, setting up the new website/mobile app needed more information than what we were given. A representative who knew what we did and how we did it would have gone a long way to eliminate hours of frustrations I have had.

**What problems is Vanco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has streamlined receiving tuition payments. A parent can stand in the school office and make their payment on an app they feel comfortable using.

**What do you like best about Vanco?**

The only thing I like is that we have an online giving platform. That is all. It is also integrated with another software that we use to track monetary and check giving, attendance, demographics, etc. Those two things are the only good things about it. 

**What do you dislike about Vanco?**

It is not user friendly at all. The platform is looks outdated. We have it for our preschool parents and often cannot find their payments. And the landing page that we have for our payments looks terrible and is difficult to edit. Getting called back when you have a support issue can take a day or two. 
When I try to look up a single individual to find their yearly contributions and/or preschool payments, it is confusing to find what I need. 

**Recommendations to others considering Vanco:**

Do not use them, you will not be satisfied at all. Find something better. 

**What problems is Vanco solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The only problem we solved was giving the ability for people to donate online or pay preschool online. In doing so, we created a lot of stress for ourselves. 
They could be so much better if they made the site more user friendly. They have the basics down, now make it so that anyone could get on the site and easily find what they are looking for. I find myself Googling my questions because their FAQ page is also just terrible.
