The biggest cost of our old reporting process wasn’t money—it was our team’s time. We relied on Excel spreadsheets and spent an enormous amount of time manually entering data and preparing reports. Even with all that effort, the information could be outdated by the time we were ready to use it.

Now, our entire team has access to live dashboards, without anyone having to manually enter the data. Everyone can see current information when they need it, rather than waiting for someone to put a report together. Instead of spending so much time assembling information, we can focus on what it tells us, what needs attention, and what to do next. That is a much better use of our team’s time.

Before we engaged Trail Consult, our royalty data lived in a system that required three to four days of manual work to transform raw payor statements into usable, analyzable data. Each statement arrived in a different format, and conforming them required significant hands-on effort from a small number of people. We also relied on data ingestion platforms with limitations on the volume of information they could process at once. As our company and portfolio continued to grow, the existing infrastructure was becoming increasingly cumbersome and difficult to scale.

After working with the Trail Consult team, those constraints have effectively been eliminated. The system they built ingests raw CSV royalty statements from every source into a centralized Google Cloud database, standardizes the data into a single, consistent structure, and refreshes automatically each day. New statements that previously took days to process can now be incorporated into our database within minutes.

This improvement has been hugely valuable to our team. Rather than spending hours maintaining and conforming our internal data, we can respond to investor and diligence-related questions much more quickly and spend more of our time on higher-value analysis. Trail Consult has been great to work with on getting Agentforce up and running for us. They helped us build out a solid utterance library across our FSC objects, plus guardrail test cases so we're not worried about the AI going off script. This really matters a lot in a regulated space like ours. They get the technical side of FSC and also just get how to actually roll this stuff out without it being a mess.
