Update: This has gotten a lot better over time, and apparently was largely due to a glitch in their system. We've had few issues in the ensuing years with customer service, although not 0. I've raised my rating to reflect the change.

Original review: Customer service is a problem. I tried to send a batch of cards over a month ago, and have emailed 5-6 times trying to get an update and letting them know we'd otherwise be leaving their service, with no response. I really appreciate Thankster for its automation capabilities, which make the process of sending out cards much easier. My colleague and I have used it to handle both large one-time orders, like for holidays, and recurring orders for our nonprofits. The ability to automate with templates and merge fields is fantastic, allowing us to put it on autopilot without having to handwrite each card. The card stock is great too; we've even sent cards to ourselves to confirm the quality. Their customer service has also been great whenever I've needed help. The automations through Zapier can be a little complicated, but I think that's really more on the Zapier end. And they've helped us with that where they could. But in any case, their built-in automations, which are simple, do most of what we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The cards from Thankster are great, and both our clients and their donors have expressed appreciation for receiving them. They're of good quality and the handwriting looks fantastic. I also like the excellent customer service; they're dedicated to helping us. The initial setup was easy, almost like sending an email, with additional options like inserting names with merge fields, making it quite straightforward. For quick orders, I can easily add a recipient to a Google sheet, and it automatically sends a card, which is really convenient. I guess one thing would be the volume limitation for postcards and plain letters. But we almost always do folders so it doesn't really affect us. For folders we can do 1 or 5000, doesn't matter. I think for postcards we need to do at least 150 or 200. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I just used Thankster to send set up an automated card campaign (anniversary of sign ups) and also a one-off campaign for our less active users. Great experience. They have some tools i did not get to (AI Song?), but for what I was after it was perfect, and as far as I can tell cheaper than the other ones out there. The reviews here seem very old (if they have all this AI stuff they must be actively updating). I had great customer support - they never went a day without replying. I really enjoy the idea of this product, it really helped me to save huge amounts of time when e.g. creating gift and thank you cards before Christmas or when creating some for the employees for their birthdays and different celebrations.
