Synthesia is a great software that I use to create business, holiday and birthday videos for our company. I am able to create training, informational or marketing videos. It saves me hours of looking for specific videos to include in my videos. They have a great library of videos to use and when I can't find exactly what I want I can create it using the Ai feature. The Ai feature usually requires a few tries and it does not translate English very well but if you phrase your request properly you can eventually get something that works great. I love how professional my videos are now and it prompts me throughout the process. for example if I remove 1 logo it will put an option for me to remove them all. There are many, many voices and avatars to pick from and it has made it so much easier to produce a quality video. Sometimes it takes a longer time to generate a video but Synthesia will post to your screen when there are issues that they need to resolve. Then I move on to a different task until it is resolved. It is hard to keep track of the credit system they use and we are running out of credits but there is an option to buy more credits at a decent price. Support is outstanding. There have been times when I’ve spent hours on a video, only for it to get rejected because I asked the viewer to contact my boss and included his name. On a few occasions, my boss even had to step in to confirm that we are a legitimate company with six subsidiary companies. Overall, we are very satisfied with the product but not necessarily happy with insinuations that we are doing something not in line with Synthesia rules. I use Synthesia to create visually assisted trainings at work, and it has notably cut down my workflow time from 2 weeks to just 4 hours per training. I really like that I can dictate my branding kit needs and select the avatars, voices, and overall visual design for my videos. These features help me save time as I no longer need to source external AI avatar creators or sift through stock visuals. Additionally, getting started with Synthesia was super simple. It's hard to choose just one favorite feature in Synthesia because the platform offers so many impressive tools. One of the highlights for me is the wide variety and quality of the avatars. They make it possible to create professional-looking videos for almost any business niche in just a few clicks.

Another major strength is the voiceover feature, especially the support for different languages. I personally use Brazilian Portuguese, and the voice quality is truly impressive. The ability to add gestures to the avatars also makes the videos feel more natural and engaging.

Synthesia helps me create polished videos quickly, with controls that are easy to use, thoughtfully designed, and consistently improving over time. AI tools used to generate motion graphics can result in output that isn't consistent visually across videos but improvements to the AI tools is making this better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most is the AI avatars. I can just add my script, choose an avatar and voice, and get a proper presenter-style video without recording myself. The avatar and voice make the video feel much more complete than just using text or slides, and the whole process is quite easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I dislike is that the AI avatar can sometimes sound a little unnatural, especially with certain words or names. I have to check the pronunciation and sometimes adjust it manually. I really like Synthesia because of the avatars. They look really natural and make it easy to put in different types of dialogues. This feature allows the avatar to read or repeat the dialogues and become like a natural feed. I also appreciate how customizable it is, as the avatar sort of becomes my company's face. Whatever I write down into a dialogue, the avatar can say, giving me an easy digital employee to promote my business. I wish Synthesia could provide more avatars than they currently have. For each type of niche, like a software engineer or something that relates to my business, having an avatar for that would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The benefits are many. First, the productivity savings are amazing. Most learners adapt well to a narrated overview of a new product or solution, and Synthesia lets me be creative through the scripting process without the constant fear of, “Am I going to have to re-record this 10 times before I get it right?” That alone allows for more creativity throughout the production cycle.

Secondly, building on that same point, Synthesia makes it possible to expedite learning modules, with each one building on the content of the previous module. The AI customer support and overall ease of use are amazing, with clear, pointed answers offered instantaneously at the right time and in the right context.

Synthesia has changed the way I approach content creation, and it has helped build my personal skills as well as our in-house production skills. Hard to say at this point. Due to company policy, I cannot use AI generated avatars of myself, so that is not a weakness of Synthesia, more internal. The list of Avatars is really good however!

Update 6/2026 - its hard to dislike Synthesia, the learning curve for me was probably the most challenging based upon time on my side - I recommend if you are going to invest in the platform spend an entire day leveraging the training content and videos. It’s very easy to create training for the organisation. The customisation resources and out-of-the-box solutions are plentiful, so I can simply use what’s available without much extra effort. Exceptional value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are a few features that aren’t enabled yet. For example, you can’t lock down the progress bar. I’ve raised this with the Synthesia team in the past, and they’ve added it to their roadmap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really enjoy using Synthesia's AI as it automatically helps me script the video and creates a really high-quality video in just a matter of minutes. Using the AI feature, Synthesia quickly comes up with a cohesive story that then can be put into a video, including high-quality graphics. It's making my process a lot easier to create. Sometimes it doesn't put in the appropriate graphic, so I wish maybe the library was a little bit bigger so that I didn't have to put in my own graphics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

More ability to customize clothing (even just color?) for non-enterprise users to help fine-tune avatars would be nice. I suggest you enable at minimum color changes and clothing swaps. Would love to be able to choose avatar face and another's clothing sometimes. Also need more casual outdoor worker clothing for small business construction or landscaping.
