Sylpheed is a simple, lightweight but featureful, and easy-to-use e-mail client. Sylpheed provides intuitive user-interface. Sylpheed is also designed for keyboard-oriented operation, so Sylpheed can be widely used from beginners to power users. Sylpheed runs on many systems such as Windows, Linux, BSD, Mac OS X and other Unix-like systems.

**What do you like best about Sylpheed?**

Sylypheed is very lightweight, using only 40MB of RAM and responsive. Its minimalist interface allows one to focus on the content of the emails. The search functionality is also fairly powerful.

**What do you dislike about Sylpheed?**

The lack of calendaring functionality reduces its usefulness in any environment requiring a calendar, as then a second application is needed to fulfil this function. When there are no meetings to keep track of, this is fine, but when there are, it can be a dealbreaker that causes one to switch to webmail or some other option that includes calendaring.

**What problems is Sylpheed solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sylpheed provides access to your email even when on the go with little internet connectivity. Emails can be downloaded and sent when the connectivity is available but searched, read, composed and so on, regardless of internet availability.
