I love that I can also access all my Google stuff from within Shift, particularly the chat and meet functions. I love the ease of connecting applications with Shift and the customization options. The ability to make my window panes look organized and essential for my workflow is fantastic. Recently, I tried to create another space integration that's called spaces in Shift. That's when you want to have a different Google account integrated with it. I had issues with connecting it, but the Google account's also brand new, so it might be an issue on Google's end. But other than that, I've actually had no issues with Shift. What I like most about Shift is how much it simplifies my workflow. I can access all my emails, workspaces, and integrated apps from one single desktop application. It keeps my work organized and helps me stay focused without jumping between countless browser tabs. I love that I can have different workspaces for different projects and connect tools like Dropbox, WhatsApp, and DocuSign directly inside Shift. There aren’t many downsides, but sometimes it can be a bit resource-intensive, especially when running multiple accounts and integrations at once. Also, a few smaller apps or plugins I use aren’t supported yet, which would make it even more complete. Other than that, it’s been very stable and totally worth the price. I like how I can have different workspaces and switch between them depending on what "Role" I have at the moment. If I'm developing software, I can have all my tools centralized in one app and switch between them with ease. Only downside for me is the pricing for a solo regular paid users. I feel there should be a tier between the free version and the team version where a solo user like me could have access to the amazing features without having to pay like a company. I appreciate the ability to have multiple instances of the same application open without needing to log in and out. I can have them all open in Shift and easily toggle between them. It also allows me to easily see that I have new emails, chats or projects for every application that I have in my dashboard at a quick glance. This saves me hours a day with my busy schedule as a web and tech manager. I color code each client so I can glance and see applications that belong to each specific client. From Google Mail, Slack, Asana, Teamwork, Help Scout, Harvest, Paymo, Dropbox, RoboForm, CodePen, and many more applications that I use. They all have a home in Shift and cut my hours of logging in and out of applications to a minimum! I can't recommend Shift enough! Take control of your life! I use it every day! I really don't have much to say negatively about Shift. Sometimes when someone sends me a link let's say in Slack - and it's an Asana link, sometimes it has trouble finding it, but, a workaround is to copy the link and paste it into the right Shift Asana application. Setting up my multiple Slack accounts was a bit tricky at first, but I managed to get it working in the end. I would also appreciate having the option to keep my Google Calendar open in its own dedicated space, separate from my email and other Google Docs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When I turn on my laptop each morning, Shift is the first program that opens up. I run several businesses and hold several volunteer leadership roles. Each business/project has its own Gmail/Google email address. With Shift I can quickly scan each inbox to make sure I have a feeling for what's come in overnight and throughout the day. Thanks to Shift, I don't have to log in and log out of each email address every time I need to check my email. Definite time saver! It's easy to set up email accounts on Shift. I am grateful Shift has added a way to store email addresses and passwords. It is a bit clunky and takes several clicks to get to the information, but at least they are now stored within the system and I don't have to go out to my password program to grab them. The things that makes Shift a great software is that is does what is says it does; it unified all your email into a single dashboard, giving you the capacity to quickly and easily access all your communications from one point. I use Shift every single day, and I can't imagine navigating six active email accounts without it. The application easily integrates with all the mail servers I use and it's incredibly easy to setup on your computer. In the few instances (early on) that I had issues with the software, customer support was prompt, professional and committed to resolving the issues quickly. Shift seems to be the best stand-alone email client. It can integrate multiple accounts, with incoming messages automatically grouped into as many as four categories. Implementation was simple. I just entered the account access information, and it imported everything. I rely on it at work every day, to handle email quickly and efficiently and without losing track of any. It just works. I've never had to call customer support. I've tried other email clients, but Shift is the most reliable and the only one that works for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Shift had trouble, at times, printing to my PDF editor (PDF-Exchange Editor Plus) but they seem to have fixed it in the latest update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that Shift keeps everything I need right in one place. I can easily switch between client emails, task managers like ClickUp, project tools like Asana, my calendar in Sunsama, and notes in Notion without getting distracted. It really helps me stay focused and organized throughout the day. The setup was simple, and it’s been a reliable way to keep my work streamlined and stress-free. The only thing I don’t love is using Shift as a browser for general web searches or browsing. I’m not sure what it is, but I prefer using my regular browser for that.
