I can run the payroll, print the pay stub and reports with little effort. I can also go back to check previous pay stubs and print out multiple at one time. **What do you dislike about SurePayroll?** pay stubs sometimes take longer to generate. After running payroll, I have to check back in about 30 minutes before the pay stub is ready for printing. **Recommendations to others considering SurePayroll:** cheapest I could find. I shopped around for a while before someone recommended Surepayroll. It was much cheaper than the competitors. I'm not sure how things were affected after Surepayroll was picked up by Paychex. From a tablet, cell phone, laptop, or from an Apple Store or Best Buy. Technology is key for our company. Something as brutal and time consuming as payroll - has been taken care of their software. This allows us to scale so much faster when hiring for new talent. I like the fact that it feels like the entire team at SurePayroll are part of my own Human Resources department. **What do you dislike about SurePayroll?** It's rare, but sometimes we get IRS letters and it takes awhile for Customer Service to respond with a solution. **Recommendations to others considering SurePayroll:** I was on vacation in Oahu, Hawaii. I was on a tour of Pearl Harbor. I know you're not supposed to check emails while on vacation, but as a business owner, sometimes that is nearly impossible. I was sent an email notification from SurePayroll to run our company's payroll. I had to board the USS Arizona Battleship. This ship was enormous! I left our tour group to "go to the bathroom". I logged into my SurePayroll app on my phone and ran our company's payroll. About 3 clicks later, payroll was complete. A total of 15 seconds. My employees in Chicago were happy, I was happy, and my Pearl Harbor Tour Guide was happy I came back really fast. **What problems is SurePayroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've tried to run my own payroll. I have tried to take into account Employer Taxes, Employee Taxes, Withholding, Deductions. It's not fun. I used to dread the end of the month when I had to pay my employees. It took me roughly 4-5 hours to run payroll correctly, double checking and being very unsure about my payroll entries. SurePayroll allows me to focus on building my business, rather than running the daily tasks such as Payroll. ### 5. I can get my payroll done in about 10-15 minutes, a bonus when I have a full-time job and a small business. I can get quick access to any report I ever need. Everything electronic is awesome, and managing employee information is a snap. Not to mention that they competently take care of all tax issues. **What do you dislike about SurePayroll?** Honestly, very little, except maybe the cost (and you do generally see a small increase every year). I think you do have to have more than 1-2 employees for it to be worth it. I wish I had more leeway with deadlines, but that's understandable why. **Recommendations to others considering SurePayroll:** I have recommended to other small business owners and I would again do it in a heartbeat. I would highly, highly recommend it to anyone dealing with payroll, especially over, say, 3-4 employees. **What problems is SurePayroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm solving having to worry about the payroll tax part of payroll and paying my employees (direct deposit). I always know that part is being done accurately, if I get a notice of something amiss from a tax agency (I get that periodically), I can just forward it to their tax department and know it will be handled. And I SAVE TIME!!!!!! The information is all there, on the website, but sometimes is difficult to find. Also, had an issue when I gave an employee a raise, and there was not an easy way to adjust his hourly pay rate, so I had to call, and fix this. Additionally, this year Surepayroll missed filing quarterly reports, and I received a notice of back taxes due from my state's dept of revenue--not exactly an enjoyable experience. However, to their credit, they did take care of it right away. Lastly, the cost is higher than Zenpayroll. **Recommendations to others considering SurePayroll:** Seriously consider Zenpayroll as well. You may find that Zenpayroll meets your needs for much less money. They filled out the tax forms wrong and then it took a long time to get them to send in a correction, I had to constantly follow up on all issues with them since they were not doing what they said they would. Then they continued to charge me for months after I cancelled my account and they said there would be no further fees. I had to call 3 times to see where the refund was and there was always an excuse. We have used Paychex and Intuit prior to signing up. Intuit was a nightmare, taxes not paid on time. Paychex became too pricey for us and we didn't need the support level that they offered. Surepayroll was the perfect answer for us. We also love the fact that we can log on from anywhere and transmit payroll since it is web based. That is a definite plus. **What problems is SurePayroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** The speed that we can process payroll is a timesaver for us. Reports & Checks can be printed onsite so we no longer wait for the mailman to deliver our payroll. Surepayroll submits our employer taxes on our behalf so we never face late fees, they make it easy for us to pay attention to other aspects of our business. We have had to call customer service a few times and they always address our issue or question immediately. We recently had a change in our unemployment tax rate so I had to submit the change to them. They updated our withholdings prior to our next payroll. ### 35. SurePayroll provides us with all the information we need directly online and therefore saving us the costs of printing out reports and the cost to mail the reports to us.
