What do you like best about Sun Life Financial?

Sun Life Financial has several features for providing different types of insurance, and one can access all features on mobile and the website. One can quickly go through their portal and select the plan that suits them the best. The portal also auto suggests users select the best method with their requirements, considering all their current and future investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sun Life Financial?

The portal is very well built and keeps upgrading as new insurance schemes come into the market, but the portal frequently hangs whenever there are holidays and weekends. Once, the portal started hanging intermittently on the website, which caused a bad user experience. But the service portal guys helped and saved us from trouble. Sun Life Financial provides a platform to monitor client insurance policies and investments. "Excruciatingly slow service"

I have a group retirement investment with Sun Life. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Sun Life Financial?

It was relatively easy to set up and my employer's contribution covered the 1.69% management fees. Initially the fund did make some money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sun Life Financial?

I am trying to move the investment to another broker and their customer service is almost non-existent.

The fund is losing money suddenly which suggests to me that its poorly managed. I suspect they are just as lackadaisical about that as they are about responding to enquiries.

Make sure, if you are trying to get out of the fund, that you understand the government form they give you because they will take forever to review it. In any case, expect to be taking weeks to get the transaction completed.

If your employer offers this negotiate to contribute to something else if you can. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Sun Life Financial?

I like the fact that you can see the updated fund values. All the basic info about the policies or accounts are there as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sun Life Financial?

The application does not show the payments made. I believe this would be a good improvement. For example, every month, I pay P2,000 - I would prefer to see the total amounts paid as of date as well as the details as to when the payments were made. This would definitely make it easier to track any missed payments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
