**What do you like best about Baker Tilly?**

The implementation specialist who helped us get things back on track was not only knowledgeable about the software, but also about our industry and the nuances we need a system to track. I can’t speak highly enough of her, and I truly hope to work with her again on any future projects.

**What do you dislike about Baker Tilly?**

Baker Tilly understands our industry and the general needs that are specific to it. However, we were initially assigned an implementation specialist who didn’t have much experience in our industry and whose background seemed limited to system implementations. That made it difficult to move the project forward, and we ultimately had to redo work that had already been completed so it would better align with our needs. I wish they had brought in someone with Senior Living experience from the beginning, rather than us having to raise these concerns mid-project.

**Recommendations to others considering Baker Tilly:**

Baker Tilly has a range of implementation specialists, so I recommend asking for someone with experience in your field and speaking up if you don’t feel it’s the right fit. They also supplied templates and enhanced them to better explain the standard templates provided by the software, which was extremely helpful. I really appreciated how invested they were in making sure our project succeeded and that we felt comfortable with the product after we went live.

Baker Tilly helped us implement a new AP/GL software solution. We had a rough start to the implementation project; however, once we shared our concerns with Baker Tilly, they addressed the issues quickly and got the project back on track.

What we like most is their combination of deep technical expertise and genuinely personal service. Their team is responsive, proactive, and truly invested in our success. Honestly, there’s very little to dislike. If anything, our only challenge was that the demand on their time reflects how sought after their team is, but even then they remained responsive and committed to keeping our project moving. Overall, our experience has been extremely positive.

**What do you like best about Baker Tilly?**

The staff are very knowledgeable about the products they are implementing.  I know this seems like it should be standard, but the support staff of the system that we came from knew less about the system that I did.  That is not helpful.  The Baker Tilly response time to any questions that I have is very prompt and always helpful.  We have now completed our implementation and we had no issues.

I also have to give a big shout out to our implementer, Rich Encinias.  He is absolutely awesome.

I have no dislikes to report from our implementation and follow up.  Everything and everyone has been great.

We chose Baker Tilly because they can implement the software and then support it after implementation.  I didn't want to be passed around and not know who I was suppose to call for questions and technical support.  The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the accounting software and they also have an accounting background which is extra helpful.  Baker Tilly is truly concerned about customer service and making sure their clients have everything they need to be successful.

We are coming from an account software system that had no useful technical support or training.  Baker Tilly handled our implementation and will now be our support.  All the support we need is within Baker Tilly.

One of the most valuable aspects of their support was their ability to deeply understand the complexities of our grant compliance requirements. This level of insight was critical, as our funding sources come with intricate reporting obligations and regulatory standards. Baker Tilly’s familiarity with these nuances allowed them to tailor their guidance to our specific needs, ensuring we remained compliant while optimizing our internal processes.

They also recommended and helped implement a third-party software solution that better aligned with our grant management and accounting needs. This tool, which integrates seamlessly with our new accounting system, has significantly improved our ability to track, report, and manage grant-related expenditures. Their knowledge of both the software and our operational challenges enabled them to configure the system in a way that truly works for us.

They listened, understood our workflows, and customized the set up.

Our experience with them was overwhelmingly positive so much so that I advocated for their involvement at my current organization. I had previously worked with them at another employer, where they successfully implemented a new accounting system. Their team demonstrated a deep understanding of nonprofit financial structures and regulatory requirements.

When I transitioned to a new organization, the CPA firm initially engaged for our system implementation fell short of expectations. Their approach lacked the strategic insight and adaptability we needed, especially given the complexity of our grant funding and compliance obligations. The contrast between that experience and my prior engagement with Baker Tilly was night and day.

Recognizing the gap, I recommended to our board that we bring in Baker Tilly. Not so much a "dislike" but more of a feedback. This feedback is more specific to our company phase rolled out approach for our eight companies. Since we phased out the go-live date for our eight companies, we've like to have virtual "refresher" training two weeks before go-live.

They may not know everything about your environment. And it may take a lot of time (and trial-and-error) for them to fully understand how your team is using Sage Intacct for specific workflows.

Make sure you over-explain everything and don't hesitate to ask questions - BT consultants are Intacct experts, but you can't assume they know everything about your background, knowledge, and current "ways of working" in Intacct.

Baker Tilly was helping us migrate an acquired company to our current Sage Intacct instance. It is benefiting my team by allowing us to have all financial reporting consolidated in one place.

We decided to transition from Sage 100 to Sage Intacct in January 2024 with a go-live date of November 2024. We didn't actually get all our ducks in a row until October, but Baker Tilly worked with us to go live effective Feb 2025. It was definitely a whirlwind experience configuring and implementing a new accounting systems in less than 4 months, but Baker Tilly worked with us to make it happen. Once we went live, they handled the transition to a new Controller really well and deftly responded to our ever-changing priorities.

Their focus on the customers needs and how they can best serve those needs was prevalent in all interactions. Our implementation consultant was knowledgeable,  resourceful, diligent, patient, and respectful of everything we were trying to do. Even if we had to take a few steps backwards for corrections, the Baker Tilly team's make sure we completed the project and met all of our project needs.

Very organized, responsive and strong communications of next steps to keep our plan on track.  Also very creative on the reporting aspects of using the software once it was implemented.

**What do you dislike about Baker Tilly?**

Nothing significant and a small comment but it would have been helpful for the representative to remind us as we were creating a new chart of accounts to also consider the account groupings that would also be a part of that design exercise.

**Recommendations to others considering Baker Tilly:**

For a not-for-profit and church context which was our use case, I believe Baker Tilley has excellent credentials in the implementation of Sage Intacct and some unique offerings of their own to add to Sage Intacct such as Ministry Intelligence.

**What problems is Baker Tilly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our church had experienced rapid growth and needed to upgrade its back-office systems from Quickbooks.  After determining that Sage Intacct was the best fit for our situation, Baker Tilley's implementation team came highly recommended and we selected BT as our implementation partner for Sage Intacct.  We started our implementation in June 2024 and went live in 3 months.  Communication and training were strong throughout and the assistance in creating reporting was outstanding and above expectations.

Our only dislike is the recommendation to use ADP for our payroll provider.  We have had a bad experience with them and would have liked other options that may have been available.

Provide as much details about your business as can be provided.  Ask questions surrounding options for payroll providers that may integrate with Intacct.

Baker Tilly helped with the set up of Intacct for us.  Our operations began 12/5/2024, so they helped with all implementation services surrounding our initial accounting platform.  Additional post go live implementation services we performed as well.  

The benefits we received were professional knowledge on what modules we needed for our company and set up of these modules.  Additionally, our implementation specialist learned our business and created custom reports based on our feedback.

BT is growing and evolving rapidly. Offerings and approaches change quickly, even within the implementation timeframe. Still, BT maintains its focus on customer service and helps to guide the customer through this.

Baker Tilly was hired to manage our implementation of Sage Intacct.  Our implementation is allowing us to migrate to a modern cloud-based accounting platform from a legacy on-prem system, providing significant value in terms of functionality and flexibility.

**What do you like best about Baker Tilly?**

The feeling that you are in this together with them. For instance, we had to integrate an existing software with Sage Intacct during our Intacct implementation and our implementation manager met with us and that software team. They would send messages to ask about statuses on our behalf. I truly felt like our Baker Tilly person was on our team, not just a consultant.

**What do you dislike about Baker Tilly?**

There are no downsides whatsoever, it was a great experience.

**Recommendations to others considering Baker Tilly:**

It is worth your time to consider Baker Tilly. They will guide you throughout the entire implementation experience, so you never have to worry about something falling through the cracks. Our implementation manager was super helpful, quick to answer any and all questions (and we had a lot), and meet with us regularly so that we stayed on our go live target, which we met and achieved. Even after we went live, we still have gotten a lot of support.

**What problems is Baker Tilly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We implemented Sage Intacct to replace Netsuite and they assisted us in that implementation. It has improved our reporting that we are able to provide which helps our team (and the company) make better financial decisions.

Scheduling meetings could be challenging at times, but that was not anyone's fault on either team. Honestly, there weren't any real downsides.

We were transitioning from our old accounting software to a more future-proof solution with Intacct. Baker Tilly guided us through the entire process and had us operational before we realized it.

If you are considering a move to Sage Intacct and are a non-profit, I would strongly recommend you look at Baker Tilly as your implementor. They then serve as the first line of support rather than working directly with Sage Intacct.

Baker Tilly most recently assisted us with a project to integrate our CRM to our ERP system. We love the end result and would highly recommend working with Baker Tilly.

I would 100% use Baker Tilly for implementation of Sage Intacct--not only do they get to know your business fully, but they are personable and relatable as well. They ensure that you are ready and trained to implement a new accounting software and their expertise is invaluable. They have also helped with creating new reports needed and implementing new 3rd party integrations with Intacct. I feel like I have support in my job because I can contact them with any issue or question I have in Intacct. There is a lot of peace that comes with that!

My lead implementation consultant was super knowledgeable and very helpful.  The process was very smooth and they even helped me discover and work out some issues with my general Sage Intacct install that needed to be resolved before this project could move forward.  Even with the snag that we hit, we hit the target deadline for completing the project.

**What do you dislike about Baker Tilly?**

While this was my only experience working with Baker Tilly, based on this project alone I have nothing about Baker Tilly that I can say I disliked.  Everyone along the way has been very helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering Baker Tilly:**

As with all software implementation projects, the team you get assigned is the key driver to how successful a project will be.  Based on this single project and the team I was provided, I would recommend Baker Tilly.

Customer support queue could be improved and general responses seems to always point to knowledge center first as a first step.   Certain modules of Intacct are not great, but that is not a reflection on Baker Tilly

Looking for the right partner who is attentive to your needs is vital and Baker tilly does this very well.   Highly important matters are addressed timely and escalated accordingly.
