The day I started my subscription box business seemed to be far away before I finally got into Subbly. It's like magic, easy to use, even for someone who doesn't have the slightest idea about website building. I get the chance to have a strong control on the design and layout of the website and represent the personality of my brand very well. They always demonstrate active interest in our achievement. What do you dislike about Subbly?

However, to be honest, on forming my website I faced some shortcomings. Putting new components in the rightplace can be quite a challenge, using tweezers is exactly what you need for precise placement. What do you like best about Subbly?

I love the website templates that come with the platform. Subbly lays out call-to-action buttons for your subscription all throughout the layout template. This really takes out a lot of marketing leg work here.

I love that this is a platform where users can change the product that they receive in their subscription every month! There are no other platforms offering this. I went through Shopify, Wix, and Squarespace! None of them offered this as an option. Their "subscriptions" were just subscriptions for the SAME item every month. Therefore in my specific case had I used those platforms, I would have only been able to offer the same wig to users per month. This didn't meet my needs of wanting to offer a variety of different beauty items per month. Women love to change their hair! I was so excited to find this platfomr.

Customer Service - Any question that I have ever had about anything, I have been met with care, concern, and solutions. I am very impressed with their team. It has been a pleasure to learn the software with a rock star customer service oriented team. Rich in particular is very innovative in finding solutions for my super niche business model. Everyone as a whole is very knowledgeable and solution oriented. I have never received customer service like this from any of the other platforms that I have ever used. What do you dislike about Subbly?

Shipping - There is no plug in for shipping that could estimate shipping cost per the weight that you put in for a prodiuct. You do have an area where you can enter in the shipping cost. Laying shipping out this way could be very costly similar to an Aliexpress order where you are charged an exorbitant amout of shipping per item rather than by weight. Here is where you have an opportunity for creative marketing. Offer a special promption code for free shipping off a certain amount such as a $50 minimum order.

Not enough variants - I offer wigs through the platform. I had the opportunity to get one-on-one coaching from a Subbly expert on how I could offer multiple styles of wigs that come in various colors. The platform uses a survey tool to build subscriptons. It becomes tedious entering in variants like color in the subscripton survey expereince compared to how it is laid out in stand alone products. It would be cool to incorporate standalone products directly into the survey with an easier way to select color.

Not easy for customers to switch in and out of products - If they click buy on an item, that will automatically put the thing in their cart, which is great for you as a business owner. However, the user experience is not a fun one. What happens on the user's end is that they try to go back and look at other products to casually browse and when they do click on the new option, instead of seeing options and text for the new product, they instead see the variants from the previous wig they viewed IF they didn't choose a variant such as color. The site is setup for user ease. Everything you need is in one place and you can enter with zero experience and end up with a very professional looking setup. Their customer service always does a great job answering any questions that come up. Their Facebook group has also been a huge benefit. What do you like best about Subbly?

The feature I like best about Subbly is it's ease of use firstly. I had never built anything vaguely like a website before starting my first business this year, and from the moment I started building it, it felt do-able and not overwhelming. My second favourite thing is how customisable everything is, so I feel like my whole new website has my "brand" from start to finish. The support from the team at Subbly is excellent, they are friendly and committed to your business success in a way that feels genuine and helpful. I like the range of stock photos that come free with it. I like how you can start with some great looking templates but then make it your own. What do you dislike about Subbly?

There are a couple of little annoying things about the design process that you have to get used to, the main one being that when you place a new element on the page it has to be put "just so" otherwise it won't go where you want it to go. What do you like best about Subbly?

The user support, it makes e-commerce site building 100% possible for a beginner. And not only possible, admittedly fun. This e-commerce site build was the most important but the most daunting of tasks needed to be accomplished to get up and running. It kept getting pushed to the bottom of my to-do list. Now underway, it's at the top. I am a sole-proprietor bootstrapping with some significant startup costs on other fronts, subbly makes my startup possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Subbly?

I wish it had a format paint brush. Also, fonts are limited to 1 choice but there's latitude in letter spacing, etc. In spite of the video tutorials, I was still getting stuck on little things that didn't bother mentioning, but having sorted them out, they've given me the confidence that I'll figure other things out too. I am not a coder and have no interest in learning it - Subblys webbuilder made creating my website a piece of cake which saved me a stack of cash and time!

What do you like best about Subbly?

The website builder is by far one of the best I've used. The navigation of the builder is brilliant, very easy to get used to and it's smooth. All the elements available are actually useful and have great design, with plenty of options to customise to your brand.

For a subscription box they have everything you could need. Their customer service team are really responsive and the site is really easy to use. There are also loads of help documents that you can search to find answers to those small technicalities you get on all websites. I love it, I'm so glad my company switched. There aren't many downsides. Because it's still growing and changing there are some features they could add, but when this happens you can upvote the things you want them to develop next and even be involved in the beta version testing (which I've done and was really glad I had the opportunity to test it out).
