Registrations, membership fees, calendars and communication in one platform, on the web and in the mobile app for iOS and Android. Founder Frank Bjergø built the first version in 2004 because he was tired of chasing his own football team for training sign-ups — the product has kept that focus ever since: take the admin out of volunteer-run sport. Today the platform is used by more than 45,000 clubs, 278,000 teams and 2.5 million active members, with users in 152 countries and paying customers in 40. More than 180,000 members log in every month. Around 20 people across nine countries build and support it, from the head office in Aarhus, Denmark, and SportMember Ltd in London. Clubs use SportMember to replace the spreadsheets, group chats and paper lists they would otherwise run on. The shared calendar handles fixtures, training and events with RSVP and automatic attendance tracking. Membership fees are collected digitally, with recurring subscriptions, invoicing and reminders, so the treasurer stops chasing payments by hand. Communication runs through one place: messages, news posts, group chat, email, push notifications and SMS. Around that sit a club website builder with automatic team pages, facility and equipment booking, a members database, a webshop for kit and tickets, statistics, a lineup builder and match reports. Federations and larger organisations run the same platform at association level, with licence management and live membership data across every affiliated club. SportMember is free to start and stays free for clubs that only need the core calendar, communication and booking tools. Clubs upgrade to PRO when they need membership fee collection, a club website and the full feature set, priced per member so small clubs are not priced out. An online demo, onboarding calls and a help centre are available to every club, and the platform supports more than 70 sports, from rugby, cricket and netball to football, badminton and swimming. ## SportMember Reviews ### 1. It is extremely useful, you can have excellent communication with your team. It has a very complete and very good functionality in general. It allows you to make a high quality customization and adapt the product to each of your company's needs. **What do you dislike about SportMember?** The process of loading photos is a bit slow, but in general I am very happy with this software, nothing negative to mention **Recommendations to others considering SportMember:** You can have a really effective communication with each individual of the team, that is an important advance, it brings great benefits for the excellent functioning of our Club.
