# Which Generative AI platforms integrate with existing marketing stacks like marketing automation and e-commerce platforms?

Which generative AI tools integrate with existing marketing stacks like marketing automation platforms and e-commerce platforms? That question keeps coming up in every vendor call I sit in on, because generating content is the easy part. Getting it into the tools a team already runs campaigns from is where most of these fall apart. It's the kind of detail that never comes up until week three of onboarding, when someone realizes every piece of AI-generated content still has to be copy-pasted by hand.

Looking through the Generative AI category reviews for integration specifics rather than just content quality:

Simplified reviewers mention pushing finished social posts and graphics straight into scheduling without re-exporting, which several people flag as the reason they kept it over a standalone design tool.

ChatGPT connects into existing workflows more through Zapier-style automation and file uploads than native marketing-stack plugins, and reviewers seem to treat it as an input into other tools rather than something that plugs directly into a CRM or ESP.

HeyGen gets called out specifically for its API and Zapier connections, with one reviewer mentioning how much smoother it made tying avatar video into their existing automation tools compared to earlier video tools they'd used.

None of the three seem to have a clean native connector into something like a marketing automation platform without going through an integration layer first, at least based on what reviewers actually describe rather than what's listed on the pricing page. Has anyone gotten one of these to talk directly to their email or CRM platform without Zapier or a developer in the loop, and if so, which one made that least painful?

I’d prefer a direct connector, but I’d be comfortable with an integration layer if it removes the manual handoff reliably. The real test for me is whether generated content can move into the CRM, email platform, or campaign workflow with the right fields and approvals intact. If someone still has to copy, paste, reformat, and check everything manually, the integration isn’t saving much operational time.
