## SpatialChat Reviews
  ### 1. Closest-to-real virtual networking platform!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

It is a very flexible platform to communicate as the exactly in-person event! If you want to speak with others, you can move your avatar to others to chat with, or say hi, or even type in the chatting. As an organizer, you don't need to speak all the time to facilitate the conversation where all the people are stuck in the same room (like ZOOM or other video chatting platforms), but the audiences can enjoy their own time.
And there are tons of ideas that you can apply for your networking event with games, speed dating as well. And plus, they oraganize every week's lecture on Spatialchat to give you ideas on how to use or emphasize this system.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

This is something that they have been already working on according to the Spatialchat team, regarding chatting in Japan is not suitable to the current chatting system. Japanese typing usually contains four different types of characters. Kanji (Chinese character), Hiragana, Katakana, and alphabet. And it takes to convert into each character before you send it out, but with the current chatting system you can't convert to other characters. They just let you send whenever you type there. It won't be a killing problem, but it would be great if you could update the system soon while you are saying this is a multilingual platform.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Under the pandemic circumstances, a lot of companies, or organizers were/are trying to find solutions to have "real" communications with others or within their organization.
Same as ours, our film festival was also looking for a platform where participants can talk to others IF they want to, or where you don't need to listen to everyone's talk while you are in the same room. SpatialChat brought us a big win with our film festival.

  ### 2. An excellent platform to have your students engaged from beginning to end!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edna R. | Founder and Director

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

It is fun, engaging for students of all ages and adults as well. We used it for our online Summer Camp last July and we all loved it.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

That we couldn't have more than 3 "rooms" on the same link. 2 more would have been ideal. I can't remember what you are charging for extra "rooms" but I remember it became a bit expensive

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

People are tired of using Zoom. Especially the younger generation. We found they loved the fact that they felt immersed in a different environment each time and the fact that they could use the chat and different emojis. Also, the "stage". They felt important every time they were upgraded to "hosts".

  ### 3. Relatively Easy to Use and a Nice alternative for those who are tired of Zoom Meetings

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

It's good if you need a spatial voice chat that works well on Mobile or Desktop. I found the video and sound to be relatively reliable. The team is also quite responsive to answering all of your questions. I like the megaphone feature, as well as the ability to broadcast across different rooms. It's great if you want something for open and free networking.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

It can be hard to find yourself in the room with your video and mic off since they shrink your avatar. And it can be tricky to onboard people to this type of experience if they are used to using Zoom. I would also liked to see some kind of locked table feature. Let's see if they come up with something soon.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like I said before, it's good for open networking and taking people on more of an adventure.

  ### 4. The Start of Metauniverse

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos V. | Data Scientist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

Spatialchat brings the office to home office. It is perfect to use in conferences and meetings with many people, so more than one subject can be covered at the same time. We use a lot at the company that I work for happy hours.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

Almost nothing. Only that some backgrounds are not in the correct scale, with chairs smaller than the people.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes it possible to make reunions without the idea of a serious subject.

  ### 5. SpatialChat Stands Out Among Online Platforms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John J. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

SpatialChat has re-engineered the way we think about meeting online. It is great to be able to move around the computer screen the way you would move about an actual room. As you approach a group of attendees, you can hear their conversation and interact. It is the next best thing to being there live and in person.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

There were some missing features (user management, security) but overall the platform was very easy to use and well liked.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has become our go to solution for holding online social and networking events.

  ### 6. Very cool and intuitive tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aliaksei L. | Head of Transport & Roads division, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

SpataialChat allows interactivity way better than traditional formats of Zoom or Teams, particularly in big meetings 20-200 peope.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

Some echo-related issues should be resolved. For example, sound of the shared video goes out through speakers and then into the system through the microphone. With many participants, at majority using speakerphones rather than headsets, this becomes very vulnerable.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am running a large conference (150+ participants) and would not even attempt making it in Zoom.

  ### 7. Use of Spatial for socials of a scientific masterclass, including informal parties and career fairs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca T. | Doctoral Student, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

The customisability and the interactivity! It's great to be able to change your room to fit the themes, and also for participants to share their own videos and photos and links. All of Spatial is my favourite, honestly - many participants said that it mimics actual social interaction and felt like a face-to-face social.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

It would be good to upload your own gifs. Also the warning sign for having too many elements on the screen covers up the gif search bar for a long time. Many of the invited speakers were not able to share their screen because they only had one monitor and if they shared their powerpoint window then they couldn't go full-screen or see spatial etc. It's not an easy problem for you to fix, but it was a common problem. Some participants asked for voice snippits and file sharing.

**Recommendations to others considering SpatialChat:**

I recommend Spatial Chat to pretty much everyone I meet, and I encourage all of my friends and co-workers to have their socials and meetings via Spatial - in particular as a dynamic alternative to Zoom. I am about to recommend it to a large international conference as a way of socialising!

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spatial solves the problem of accessibility - allowing people to contribute and ask questions and be a part of the conversation without the awkwardness of trying to have a group conversation on zoom. The benefits were very clear when using Spatial for the career fair - as it could simulate a large hall of many different companies talking to participants, showing videos of their laboratories, whilst participants could move freely to each group.

  ### 8. My experience with SpatialChat in workshops or with Family chats are fantastic!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alba G. | Executive Director

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

It looks like real life. People meet and listen to others if they are closer. I share presentations, and I do like to have a music point.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

That people forget to put micro OFF if they were at zoom. I dislike not having money for using more rooms with the possibility of sharing audio; but it is not a problem from Spatial Chat.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create trust, to make decisions happen in a good environment. I am not benefiting financially; but I would like to. It is a good way to make people feel happy and to go from one site to another.

  ### 9. Excellent tool for virtual meetings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nestor C. | Cloud Adoption Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

that you can have a conversation with people near you without disturbing others, also possibility to have multiple youtube channels as that you can see when you want

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

mobile experience isnt very good, and in some cases camera stop working or dont start if you connect it with zoom

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

online meeting that previously was physical, is the near best way to see a group of people and talk with them like when you go to a conference

  ### 10. So easy to set up and so fun to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle S. | Strategic Partnerships | Business Development | Marketing, ANZ & Asia, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

SpacialChat is very easy to set up and the controls are self-explanatory. The guests at my event found joining easy and loved the features!

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

There's nothing I don't like about it. I recommend it to everyone who wants something rather than boxes on their screen to meet others.

**Recommendations to others considering SpatialChat:**

Try it! It's so easy. You will want to create events just so you can have fun using it.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can have private chats without getting additional rooms, just like at an actual event - I loved this feature. The problem I solved was the lack of participant retention. People enjoyed the interactivity and stayed longer.

  ### 11. ApatialChat; a new way of meeting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

Other than life meetings, this is as close to a personal meeting as possible. The fact that you can add a photo of yourself, modify the background or rooms and create hang out areas with soft music is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

Some functionality within the different rooms could not be adjusted. Such as the background music or the volume at which it was playing. They said they were working on adding that option, though.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is a way better virtual meeting option than the likes of Zoom and such. It's more versatile and interactive and our members hunanimously agreed with that.

  ### 12. Spatial Chat was an outstanding option for us

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2022

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

I loved that we were able to set up so many different rooms and make it feel like an in-person workshop.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

It was a bit challenging for our participants to use on their phones for those who don't have access to computers.

**Recommendations to others considering SpatialChat:**

It's a really unique, interactive platform which was fun for the students participating in our project.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We planned to have an in-person workshop and wanted to achieve the goals of that in an online setting. This platform really made it feel like they were at a workshop.

  ### 13. Great for educational purposes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olga Jannid C. | Professor of English as a Foreign Language and Translator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

I love this space. It's perfect for real-time interactions in classrooms. My students were delighted to move around the room as if they were in an actual class. It allows the use of different interactive features that make this app unique. I encourage everyone to use it and invest in case they have large groups. It's worth it!

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

There's nothing I dislike! That's what cool about this app.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm solving the barrier problem that other conference apps have. For instance, the ability to group people and listen to everyone by moving around the space. This is something other apps do not allow us to do as educators.

  ### 14. SpatialChat is excellent for online poster sessions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivana B. | Postdoctoral Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

Really mimicks a real-life poster session: you can have different poster rooms and a lobby; you have a little avatar that you can move around; when your avatar is far from other people's avatars, you don't hear them, when you get closer, you do; you can zoom in on the poster, so you can clearly see every detail. Overall, a really nice experience

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

Honestly, there were basically no downsides, everything was great and easy to use

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had to switch our conference to an online one because of the pandemic, and we had already set everything up with Zoom, but organizing the poster session that way would've been very difficult. Spatial Chat solved that problem beautifully, and we're actually sorry we didn't use them for the lecture portion of our conference as well.

  ### 15. A fantastic experience that gets you away from the monotony of normal web meetings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt C. | Sales Leadership Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

I particularly appreciate that Spatial Chat is a 2D experience that allows anyone to quickly move around the meeting spaces without learning how to navigate. We tried other products with the 'Z-Axis' and even heard a story of a person who missed a meeting because they were 'Stuck' behind a flower pot in a virtual space. Spatial Chat gives you the flexibility to design beautiful environments that don't require you to be a gamer to use.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

Spatial Chat is very responsive in terms of new feature requests - The only limitation that we are working with today is that sometimes people will not be able to see a screen share because they have too many tabs open on their machine and don't have the resources to see it. This feels like a short term issue as newer machines seem to have no problem at all.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spatial Chat allows us to give students the feel of arriving at a place (Our SaaSy Sales Leadership virtual campus) with the flexibility to explore rooms and meet people for side-chats that is simply impossible with standard meeting products. We needed to find a way to recreate our in-person training experience, including the ability to have adhoc 1:1 conversations - SpatialChat has been perfect for this. We have received high praise from ALL attendees due to the investment we made in the experience. We also conduct many of our new client meetings in the virtual space, which has ensured that the differentiated environment is experienced by new clients reviewing our offerings

  ### 16. Highly recommended to host your virtual conferences

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sidath K. | Graduate Research Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

Ability to create multiple rooms in Spacial Chat

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

There is nothing to dislike about Spacial Chat

**Recommendations to others considering SpatialChat:**

If you are looking for a platform that can handle multiple sessions simultaneously, I highly recommend Spacial Chat.
I used Spacial Chat to host a two-day research conference with more than 100 people attending each day. I would recommend the users not to use their phones and tablets to log in to Spacial Chat because the platform doesn't work well on those devices. Also, I recommend users have a stable internet connection to avoid bandwidth issues. Even though the platform is very user-friendly, I would recommend providing a user guide or creating a "How to use" video so that your users will have a better idea about the platform.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Spacial Chat to host our annual research forum virtually this year. I was able to build a conference space with multiple rooms for different sessions. The forum was scheduled for two days, and each day, we had more than ten live sessions happening simultaneously without any issues :)
We had two platforms for presentations, podium and poster presentations. Each podium session and poster session had a separate room. All presentations were delivered live. Each day we had more than 100 people attending sessions. We did not have any issues in Spacial Chat, and the platform worked perfectly. We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees regarding the platform, such as "This is the best virtual platform I have come across among multiple virtual conferences."
I loved the Spacial Chat's microphone and megaphone functions. The microphone is much suitable for poster sessions, and you can have multiple poster presentations happening simultaneously in the same room. The megaphone can be used to address the whole room, and this is suitable for moderators of a session or for podium presentation sessions, where you present to the entire audience in the room.
One more function I like is the "Stage" room. This feature was used for our award ceremony.
The platform is very user-friendly and easy to learn how to navigate. I researched few other platforms before choosing Spacial Chat and among them all Spacial Chat had all features I wanted such as the ability create to multiple rooms, ability to have multiple podium and poster presentations happening in multiple rooms simultaneously, the ability to have mutiple poster presentations happening simultaneously in the same room, and the ability to have more than 20 people in the same room. No other platform I researched had these capabilities and they were also expensive with limited futures. Spacial Chat on the other hand offers all these functions and to top that it was cost effective.
All in all, I was impressed with the SpacialChat, and I believe our virtual research forum wouldn't be a success if we had used a different platform. I highly reccomnd Spacial Chat!

  ### 17. As close to in person as you can get...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

SpatialChat has a physical presence for the participant that is missing from other platforms such as zoom, teams, etc. By that I mean they can move their icon around the screen. This simple functionality brings two amazing benefits:
- People can only be influenced to do things and only do them if they choose to and when they are ready. Being forcefully removed by a producer from a conversation can't be done here and it dramatically changes the feel of the platform in a very positive way
- Their physical presence allows people to communicate 'with their feet' as it were. Voting, aligning to ideas, etc are all possible as they are in person

Its very easily customisable and with a creative brain you can easily develop engaging and powerful experiences for people

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

The risk when screen sharing of the feed failing and people not seeing the (usually slide deck) being shared. The ability to upload a deck to it would be a great next step. Thats all the issues i've had with it. There are simple additions that would enhance the space further.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Participant engagement is much higher. The physicality allows us to re-explore what we used to do in person into a digital space as well and its much quicker when well run than say zoom.

  ### 18. The perfect conference tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonie F. | Research Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

It is the tool closest to a real-life experience because the participants can walk around a room and smoothly join groups and conversations.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

Nothing. It is an overall good experience. There is sometimes room for improvement, but the spatial chat team is always open to feedback and fixes bugs straight away.

**Recommendations to others considering SpatialChat:**

Get a free account and try with a group of friends or colleagues. Or register for a free presentation session where employees of spatial chat show you around the tool. It is quite intuitive, and their tips are beneficial.
If you are planning a big event: Don't forget that your guests will require time for an analog break as well as the digital break for strolling around your virtual cafeteria.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We organised scientific conferences. It is essential for us that the guests can follow lectures and stroll around poster sessions or the cafeteria for networking within the same tool. People are free to move between rooms and to get in contact. Especially for newcomers, it can be interesting to approach a group of people and listen before joining the conversation.

  ### 19. Zoom in into this great working tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

I truly enjoy its use, really dynamic and fresh, making your meetings fun and innovative (people do get surprised when they find out about it) and virtual co-working satisfactory.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

At the beginning (more than a year ago) there were some flaws and missing functionalities, but, currently, they are solved and I find nothing to complain about...

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When pandemic restrictions appeared out of the blue, SpatialChat allowed me to keep working in a virtual customized office with my colleagues, enjoying music, conversations and fluidity in reaching everyone. It also supposed a fresh tool to construct webinars for example.

  ### 20. SpatialChat - how virtual events should be!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oli M. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

I am a conference organizer and SpatialChat enables everything I need for successful networking. Especially, I want to highlight support from the SpatialChat team (even though it works like a charm and it's unlikely that you would need their help).

A few advantages for conference organizers:
1. The interface is intuitive. All participants have control over who they want to talk to, whenever they want to.
2. Attendees can socialize in smaller, manageable groups while still being connected in a larger space (not boring 1 to many kind of zoom call)
3. Q&A for up to 50 people - we draw awesome backgrounds where the speakers can sit on a chair, and the attendees surround them. The megaphone feature comes across as very helpful in that case. The conversations always feel very intimate and inclusive in these crazy times.
4. We create rooms for sponsors where they run their activities - the entire expo is very dynamic and enables hot leads generation for the sponsors. You can even broadcast to all rooms when something important is happening.

I can continue, but the best you can do is to try it, and you will see it makes a big difference.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

I love the product and there is nothing that I dislike

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How do you make an online conference that is worth attending live? Why should an attendee dedicate their time to watch it now instead of watching it later on YT?
The answer is networking - that is the problem that my company solving with SpatialChat!

  ### 21. Useful tool in an hybrid working mode

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

I like the visual representation of a virtual workspace. It's easy to see in a second who's here, who's available to chat.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

Some of my colleagues have audio issues, it also lacks of some useful keyboard shortcuts.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It avoids the silo we had in zoom. People can share the same visual workspace but the sound is only limited to local members.
It's then possible to have several discussions at the same time without disturbances.
It's also very easy to initiate discussions with other teams just by moving the avatar close to them.

  ### 22. Makes on-line events feel like in-person

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike B. | Driver, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

That it solves the problem of online networking events in a clean, easy-to-use manner. The fact that it is browser-based and requires almost zero setup is a big benefit.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

As it is browser-based, it can be very heavy on CPU, so draining battery-based devices.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As each attendee controls where they are, it is as close to an in-person networking event as I have found.
Once attendees realise they can control the movement, it really improves the event experience.

  ### 23. Better communication among several teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

SpatialChat is the best way to talk in small groups in one room. It makes it easier to communicate with other group members even outside SpatialChat.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

It could be more fun to have more background images in the template

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team members work remotely. So it's quite a big issue to design a better communication process.
We have several app development teams in our department. Each team better be informed about what the others are currently doing, but it is not as important as holding a zoom meeting.
So we join SpacialChat all together and talk in small groups if needed. Other ones can hear as if in the office. It has improved our remote communication process.

  ### 24. A quick and functional alternative

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

The spatial chat is an excellent platform for teaching in an interactive, fast way and using many visual resources. I believe the greatest advantage is that it is free and has the ability to move away and lower the sound quickly and functionally.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

The spatial chat is a very intuitive and easily accessible platform. However, I encountered problems turning on my phone's camera, and in some meetings, people couldn't turn on their microphones.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The spatial chat helped me a lot with the didactics of classes, where on other platforms it was not possible to work in pairs with students for free and in a functional way.

  ### 25. An excellent tool for 1 on 1 conversations as well as meeting people in online conferences

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandros T. | Associate Professor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

SpatialChat brings back some lost spontaneity in online meetings. It's also very easy to use !!!

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

The max not of 50 persons could hypothetically cause problems

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used SpatialChat to complement the classic online meeting tools in the frame of an online conference - It really felt like being in the lobby of conference - approaching people - and e - meeting colleagues in a secure but informal way as well

  ### 26. Spatial Rooms beat Zoom fatigue and enhance our platform offering

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Craig M. | CEO

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

Spatial Chat beats Zoom fatigue. We integrated it seamlessly via SSO into our EckoEnterprise platform & it's very popular.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

Not much. They are committed to improving the product month on month. Some of the larger pricing plans could be more flexible to cater for events.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It beats Zoom fatigue and integrates well into our user journeys. SSO gives us the ability for a seamless user journey and is in line with our rigid security requirements for our platform.

  ### 27. Using SpatialChat as a Virtual Biology Laboratory Classroom

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

Spatial chat provides an engaging virtual meeting experience. The ability of groups to share and speak to each other and move between groups seems superior to "breakout rooms".

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

I really like SpatialChat, but it is outside of LMS (Bb) so it requires students to click on another link to get there. However, it is easy to share my meeting room link and it is easy for students to enter.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a virtual collaborative learning space that is more engaging and gives a greater sense of presence in the classroom. It more realistically simulates being in the science laboratory and working with partners at the same table.

  ### 28. Great connection, poor analytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renata T. | Employee Experience Pleno (foco em dados, engajamento e cultura), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

The autonomy of the user to walk into the spaces.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

Poor analytics. We don't have data from the engagement of the users in each day or event.

**Recommendations to others considering SpatialChat:**

Great connection, poor analytics.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create a better personal connection within the remote employees.

  ### 29. Great event platform for virtual networking

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2022

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

The space was easy to customize for branding purposes, had a simple user interface on both the back end and the attendee side, and it allowed for more organic networking connections than on other platforms.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

It was challenging to get customer support in real-time, due to the US/European time difference.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpatialChat allowed us to have an upscale virtual networking mixer with several breakout rooms to allow for both large scale and intimate conversations.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeroen C. | Board Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

We used SpatialChat for an informal get-together of our Alumni Association. We managed to mingle with around 100 persons in different rooms.
We really liked the backgrounds you can choose from and the audio feature that allows you only to hear people close by.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

When the meeting started, we had experienced some lagging, but afterward, it turned out to be caused by my pc.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Social get-together

  ### 32. Brilliant design that mimics a traditional brick and mortar beautifully

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

What all you get without making us pay is astonishing

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

It takes a minute to get down navigating. It's simple for the tech savvy and may be a challenge for the dinosaurs out there

**Recommendations to others considering SpatialChat:**

Spread the word

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Designing the layout skillfully will prevent hiccups and practicing with other teachers before executing to assess user friendliness and minimize lesson plan flaws

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

Everything! The possibility to change backgrounds and arrange more than one room per section is fantastic!

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

Only 50 people per room. If it would be possible to have at least 150 will be great!

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy way to connect. More engagement as it is a funny and productive way to meet. Focus on what is said and not too much worried about the camera positions or speaker's background.

Spatial.Chat is very intuitive, simple and easy to use. It provides a natural way to interact online with small to large groups

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

I haven't really found a downside for the applications we have used it for.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform has helped us to interact in a fairly natural way whilst separated due to Covid lockdowns and has proven to be a useful conference format for social interaction space

  ### 35. A great support after a stressy problem

  ### 36. Fabulous engagement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave K. | Organisational Coach, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

Everyone enjoyed the functionality and the ability to choose who to talk to and when. Free engagement by all was precisely the experience we were trying to create.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

It would be helpful to have a secure access method. We had no security issues, but we were aware that we could have

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had 125 people worldwide (all across Europe (Spain, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Turkey), India, China, and the USA. I can't think of another method of getting these people together in one place for a free-flowing discussion without spending tens of thousands of dollars.

  ### 37. Hosted a successful event thanks to Spatial Chat

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

I love that you can customize this platform to your needs and break through the usual day-to-day virtual events we attend. This platform truly provides a unique, interactive experience. Since the experience is one of a kind, we noticed a higher level of engagement for those who attended.

Pros:
- Customizable (appearance and access)
- Different levels of access (Admin, host, attendee)
- User friendly and easy to navigate with little training
- Flexible purchase options to fit your specific needs
- Helpful resources available to help you navigate the set up of your space as needed

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

There are few downsides to this platform in our experience. The few suggestions are minor and did not hinder our ability to host a great event.

Cons:
- No recording option which would have been helpful for some of our presentations
- The screen share option is difficult to operate with only one screen, especially if you need to see comments/activity in the event space while you are sharing
- Re-sizing images and pinned content is tricky. Only one corner allows you to expand an image which requires multiple attempts of expanding, then moving, then expanding more.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Spatial Chat to connect our employees with various employee benefit vendors for benefits fair. We have a workforce located across the country, so we can only share this information through a virtual platform to connect with everybody. The space allowed our employees to move freely between rooms and didn't require our team to assign attendees to specific spaces, which was an issue we had when searching other platforms. Spatial Chat offered an interactive way to share helpful information in one place and allowed attendees to ask questions.

  ### 38. Why i love Spatial

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hernan V. | CoFounder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

simplicity, user onboarding and the minimum visibility of the cam.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

There is nothing I dislike. However sometimes it´s hard for new users to activate the mic and camera. (since the explorer settings block the site).

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems that we are solving. Boring and passive meetings. Zoom sickness. Grouping for small teams.
benefits?
fun, interactive, active meetings. fast and visual groupings for workshops.

  ### 39. Works as it is supposed to. A great experience.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

It provides an experience that tries to closely replicate your regular work environment. With spatial audio, you can also feel as if you cannot listen to a person far away.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

It would be better to have avatars and give this a 3D touch. Metaverse is the future and this could be a big piece in the jigsaw and create an unmatched experience.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not solving any problems as such as of now. Attended a demo of the app. As much as it is useful for teams to collaborate together, I don't feel there's a demand currently from our customers.

  ### 40. Engineering Research Days 2021

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

The customer service was impeccable. Our Spatial Chat account manager was terrific to work with. Responsive, collaborative, and always helpful, we felt supported, and she was a key contributor to the success of our event on Spatial Chat.

The Spatial chat platform was an intuitive, innovative, and easy-to-use platform that fit our needs to accommodate a wide audience. We evaluated several other platforms in-depth and Spatial Chat was the clear choice.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

Lack of available analytical and quantitative data and the inability to have 1:1 messaging. I believe the communications feature will be enhanced.

**Recommendations to others considering SpatialChat:**

great team, innovative platform and wonderful customer support

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Presenting innovative research, panel discussions, poster sessions, keynote chats.

  ### 41. The closest thing to live conferencing in the virtual world

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tricia C. | Internal communications manager

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

The ability to talk in small groups when in the same room. It's what people miss during live events, and it's the closet thing available as far as digital conferencing is concerned.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

Would like to be able to project better quality vidéos from the stage. As is currently possible in the other rooms.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bringing people together. Making digital conferencing fun.

  ### 42. 45 participants, 8h duration, 5 parallel workshops, social programme in plenum for group dynamics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

Using spatial.chat offered features easy to understand, as they were oriented to analogue habits (sound shifting with the distance to other participants, changing rooms individually, background fitting visually any topic).
Link for participation was set by user, no registration for participants needed.
Most helpfull of all was the customer support providing any attention needed and in short time.

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

Language used for the features (English) was not adaptable.
You need to run check-in in different rooms parallel with more than 30 participants.

**Recommendations to others considering SpatialChat:**

Your team should check different options to compare whether the features meet the requirements of your event.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can not run our annual events for trying to reduce effects of the pandemic and had to go online. Spatial chat offered features to even built up own fun activities on. Appart from offering educatonal contents, also socialising aspects could take place. Additionally we could reach out for participants in distance aswell.

Knowing that it doesn't work well on firefox.Someone has to tell you

It would be nice to keep a free option for teachers, as it's hard to have to pay for all these tools out of one's pocket.
I love Spatial chat

Group work with my students is awesome online

Very interactive, looking cool, super user friendly and great functionalities to create your own look and feel.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

.

**Reviewed by:** Nicolás F. | BDM, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2021

**What do you like best about SpatialChat?**

The background and the many possibilities to interact with others.

Nothing specially. But I would like to see 3D backgrounds in which you could interact, for example, a virtual street market with booths.

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Networking during online events. The benefit is accurate for this purpose, but always can be improved.

  ### 47. The best free "Coffee Break" app

The graphics and the feature where sound is lowered the further i go away from the source video

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

Students can enter without permission from the host

**What problems is SpatialChat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Students like that they can approach their classmates and talk directly in the same room, they can work in groups and I, as a teacher can move around checking their progress.

  ### 50. Nice tool - wish I had more use cases...

**Reviewed by:** Dörte S. | Consultant, Facilitator, Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you dislike about SpatialChat?**

Being not really sure how many participants the system can handle.
