I like the ability to be able to assign alerts to teams instead of them just going to the IT team and us notifying them. Web Server issue? Alerts go to the Development team. Appears to have a historical tracking of CPU, Memory and Disk usage. Not sure how far back it goes. But this will allow us to right size our servers that someone said needed 18 cores, but really only needed 12 because at 18 cores its only using 25% CPU with peaks to 40%. Installing the agent was seamless. **What do you dislike about Site24x7?** Trial is only for 30 days. I understand why, but it took us nearly 30 days to get in what we could and learn the system. We still don't have all devices in. I think 60 days for a system like this is needed to evaluate all of the features. I have other tasks and can;t devote 30 days working only on a trial. Automatically adds all VMs when you add a hypervisor, even if there is already an agent. This double charges you for the monitors and we had to manually cleanup all of them. It was only after the fact we learned this and disabled the import of VMs from the Hypervisors. **What problems is Site24x7 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ease of Monitoring most systems in the environment, alerting, Metrics from VMware and Nutanix. ### 24. Many kinds of automations and bulk actions are possible once you learn the interface, which regrettably has some learning curve. **What do you dislike about Site24x7?** The agent installation script will automatically make the agent privileged if a Linux server has Docker installed, even if using the `-s24x7agent` option in the script to prevent running as root. The script picks up that Docker is installed, adds the s24x7agent user to the group and thereby makes it practically root - remember, if you can run Docker, you can alter any file on the system! This is a pain when deploying agents to very security-conscious infrastructure, as you can inadvertently give a monitoring agent way more permissions than you thought you're giving! **What problems is Site24x7 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having an external system that pings your services to make sure they are available is essential, it cannot be done internally by definition. Site24x7 makes this easier than other solutions I've tried, and I automatically get neat graphs for performance & other statistics. I don't have to focus on the monitoring details at all, just install an agent and let it do its thing. ### 27. The ease of integration with OpsGenie. The ease of integration with their Status Page product. The Digital Risk Analyzer product has several useful features you won't find with many competing products Their support is incredibly responsive and willing to listen to constructive feedback. Within my first trial week, they took some of my feedback linked to how SPF and DMARC was monitored and implemented the changes almost right away. **What do you dislike about Site24x7?** The Windows Agent doesn't support GPU monitoring. This is only available for Linux and only with the use of a third party plugin. They are still scaling out their support for monitoring of some international domains. The complexity of options and necessary configurations needed to fully benefit from certain monitors (such as website Brand Reputation monitor) can be daunting but admittedly is worth the investment of time in the long run. **What problems is Site24x7 solving and how is that benefiting you?** A 'single source of truth' for all monitoring of devices, infrastructure, and applications.
