"Effective for Cybersecurity Audits, But Slow with Limited Integrations"
Product Reviewed: Network Detective Pro
What do you like best about Network Detective Pro?

I really appreciate Network Detective Pro's extensive range of functions, which is particularly beneficial for conducting comprehensive cybersecurity audits and assessments. Its integration capabilities with Compliance Manager and Vulscan are outstanding, as they enhance the platform’s utility significantly. Vulscan provides critical insights by analyzing vulnerabilities on networks and devices, and when coupled with Network Detective Pro, it facilitates the generation of detailed risk reports that are pivotal in making my clients aware of their cybersecurity standings and weaknesses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Network Detective Pro?

I find Network Detective Pro to be slow, which affects the overall efficiency while using the tool. Additionally, its integrations with other platforms are lacking, limiting the seamless workflow I desire. Although the initial setup was manageable, the platform was slow to adopt due to its size and complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Product Reviewed: VulScan
What do you like best about VulScan?

RapidFire Tools stands out for its ability to streamline complex IT assessments and audits. The automated data collection and reporting features enable us to produce comprehensive, client-ready documentation with very little manual work. I particularly value how seamlessly it fits into MSP workflows, whether we are pinpointing security vulnerabilities, creating compliance reports, or assisting with onboarding tasks. The platform’s user-friendly interface, flexible templates, and practical insights make it an invaluable resource for both technical staff and those working directly with clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about VulScan?

While RapidFire Tools is undoubtedly a powerful platform, there are certain aspects that could benefit from improvement. The user interface, although functional, sometimes appears outdated and can be unintuitive, particularly for newcomers who are trying to navigate complex reports or settings. Furthermore, customization options for branding or report formatting are somewhat restricted unless manual workarounds are used. Performance may also experience slight slowdowns when handling large datasets or conducting multiple scans at once. Nevertheless, these concerns are relatively minor when weighed against the overall value the tool delivers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined vulnerability scanning made simple"
Product Reviewed: VulScan
What do you like best about VulScan?

It offers a thorough scanning for a wide range of vulnerabilities, making it an excellent tool for identifying potential security issues. With a simple user friednly interace, makes it simple to use for beginners (like for our helpdesk techs) and experienced users. The reporting features provides really in-depth actionable reports that gives us detailed information that not only explains the vulnerability, but helps us to share the justification for the billable time it would take to correct the vulnerability. I haven't had to use customer support very often but when we have, it's been pretty good with timely and educated responses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about VulScan?

Probably the least disliked part is false postives, which is common in all scanners. False positives lead to wasted time with unneed investigations. With time we can reduce the noise of false postives by tweaking Vulscan, but it's still something that I wish it would improve on (which I imagine they actively are doing). Other than that, the cost is sometimes harder for our much smaller customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A solid asset for any IT Tech Analyst's toolkit. However, it's not perfect."
Product Reviewed: Network Detective Pro
What do you like best about Network Detective Pro?

Honestly? Network Detective Pro has become a solid asset in my toolkit. It automates a ton of the grunt work when assessing environments—quick network sweeps, domain audits, vulnerability checks, asset inventories—you name it. The reports are clean, customizable, and client-facing out of the box, which saves me time I’d otherwise spend trying to make raw data digestible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Network Detective Pro?

That said, it’s not perfect. Some of the modules feel a bit clunky or outdated (especially compared to newer tools with more real-time capabilities), and it leans heavily on its reporting rather than live analysis. But for quick network audits or onboarding new clients? It shines. I wouldn’t use it as my only recon tool, but as a companion to deeper scanning and SIEM integration, it pulls its weight. "Easy Setup and Fast, Thorough Scans with Great Support"
Product Reviewed: Network Detective Pro
What do you like best about Network Detective Pro?

This tool is extremely user-friendly. You simply drag and drop an agent onto a server, open it, complete the installation, and fill in the required fields—making the setup process straightforward. The scanning feature is both fast and comprehensive. Support is responsive and pleasant to work with, and the tool integrates well with other software. It's simple enough to create a quick SOP and perform quarterly scans without any hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Network Detective Pro?

The end user facing reports can be a bit too technical, leading to more work being done to translate and make it something that a C level employee can digest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Well, you can say you have vulnerability management at least?"
Product Reviewed: VulScan
What do you like best about VulScan?

Easy to deploy and implement, local agent deploy is easy. It's cheap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about VulScan?

Scans and local agent miss many vulnerabilities. Local agent only reports on windows patches missing, doesn't work on Mac or Linux. More conscious clients knew about some vulnerabilities before we did. Scanners are slow and unreliable. Reporting does not cut mustard for more mature security depts (can't assign SLO, no report on Vul age). Support is non-existent if anything is needed about Tier 1. Ticket generation frequently doubles or triples up with no fix from support. We lasted 1.5 years and ended up moving to Qualys. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Network Detective Pro?

Network Detective Pro is a great tools to generate vulnebility scan reports for both network and security. It can also be used for generating DB, PII and even more. Its easy and user friendly GUI makes is easier to generate reports and template for onsite visits Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Network Detective Pro?

Setup and easy but it requires a lot of training and help sometimes from support. Some of the articles and tutorials are still not good enough to master the tool and utilize it to the best of ones benefits. Its now available on cloud only version I believe Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid scanner product but lacks compared to other products on the market"
Product Reviewed: VulScan
What do you like best about VulScan?

Easy to setup.

Good integrations into other Kaseya products.

Low cost compared to other products.

Customer support is quick to respond when dealing with basic issues.

Semi regular features updates bringing in extra functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about VulScan?

Over complicated interface at times which results in some things being buried in menus which aren't natural.

Lack of agents means that it doesn't scan devices correctly which greatly reduces the number of detections compared to other competitors that use agents.

Support quick to bury heads when you raise any complicated issues which then turns into a war of attrition to actually get support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust Program with Detailed Steps"
Product Reviewed: Compliance Manager GRC
What do you like best about Compliance Manager GRC?

The most helpful bit about GRC is the step by step process in which it lays out what needs to be done and in what order. It offers help and tutorials for any topic to assist along the way. It is very comprehensive and robust. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Compliance Manager GRC?

The realm of compliance is so involved, even having a great program like GRC, doesn't lighten the burden of becoming compliant. I also wish it provided template policies and procedures that we could whitelabel or customize for each client. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Network Detective Pro - Your assessments allied."
Product Reviewed: Network Detective Pro
What do you like best about Network Detective Pro?

I love the way the tool performs the assessments to provide insights on the most relevant areas. This tool makes it a breeze and has proven to be very useful when providing an overview of the actual client's status and a baseline to kick off security hardening projects. We use it for clients' onboardings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Network Detective Pro?

We would like to have a more streamlined process to install the data collectors in larger networks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
