I wish the updating of graphs based on manual data entry (for payments that don't go through Stripe) wasn't delayed, but we are on the free tier, so that is to be expected (I believe the paid tiers have instant updating). **Recommendations to others considering ProfitWell Metrics by Paddle:** If you are just starting out with a SaaS, and need to get key reporting on your subscribers and customers quickly, effectively (and cheaply), ProfitWell is a no brainer to get started with. **What problems is ProfitWell Metrics by Paddle solving and how is that benefiting you?** We didn't track important KPIs on our SaaS for so long because it was just too hard to calculate those numbers on a weekly/monthly basis. But ProfitWell makes it a breeze for the founders to pull up the reports during our regular meetups and briefing sessions. Going one step further to show then trend of each contributor of the waterfall (growth rate detail, retention rates) is very helpful at giving a broader perspective for how the business is doing. Having the ability to go down to the account level detail to see how it's changed month by month provides the other end of the spectrum in detail. **What do you dislike about ProfitWell Metrics by Paddle?** It only provides a directional number rather than an exact number. There are nuances to our business that make it difficult for profitwell to at a real time spit out the live ARR number. The biggest issue comes when we use promotions to incentivize our customers. We have not gotten to that level of detail with profitwell to regulate those month by month changes. The other main issue involves credits, which can somethimes show as a deactivation and reactivation. Are we on the offensive by trying to upsell our current customers or are we more at risk with how much we've had to downsell and downgrade our descriptions? After manually calculating our MRR, profitwell was the closest. Also, the goal and pacing emails are great Finally, it's amazing that they provide this tool for free. It's the go to solution I recommend for all of my colleagues. **What do you dislike about ProfitWell Metrics by Paddle?** Some of the reports and views are counter intuitive (overall UX is "OK"). You can not export information by a time period (it always seem to pull entire history). Not sure why or how they aren't charging for this product, but I exclusively use this now and barely log into Stripe now, haha. As I said somewhere else, it appears that the data they provide is actually used by customers and not a list of pointless averages and sums. I've also been using their Retain feature as well over the past month and it seems to be preforming better than I expected. It has some great features to help reduce delinquent churn. Apart from dunning emails, they have in-app notifications that help guide a user to update their payment method. Apart from the actual service, the value-based pricing is well thought out. I appreciate how the Retain service only charges you for the results they drive over your baseline results. This is a superficial complaint, but it does affect the user experience. It allows me to keep the finger on the pulse in terms of what is going on in the company I work for, though its well thought out dashboards. **What do you dislike about ProfitWell Metrics by Paddle?** That I can't get Apple App Store stats, but that is the fault of Apple, not Profit Well!! **What problems is ProfitWell Metrics by Paddle solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had a number of different methods and systems to calculate chur, report revenue etc. We use Profit Well so we can report using one set of numbers and definitions that we trust. ### 49. Lots of other platforms show you previous months, but being able to compare same month 1 year or 2 years ago on all the metrics is great. I love the goal line graphic presentation. This is not to say others don't offer this (I also have an account with baremetrics and chartmogul) but I've found profitwell the best at visually displaying my data. **What do you dislike about ProfitWell Metrics by Paddle?** I wish it had a bit more tie into Braintree so I could take advantage of some of their other features (like upcoming churned customers that month). I also wish I could adjust the way it recognizes a churned customer (I prefer to remove the customer from our system the moment they have quit, not at the end of their subscription period). **Recommendations to others considering ProfitWell Metrics by Paddle:** I've used chartmogul and baremetrics (still use baremetrics) but have found that I go to profitwell the most each day now to view and interpret our SaaS metrics. **What problems is ProfitWell Metrics by Paddle solving and how is that benefiting you?** Faster interpretation of the health of my SaaS subscriptions. I find I have better visibility than what I get with the other platforms. ### 50.
