Planview AgilePlace is a kanban-based work management software solution that helps engineering and delivery teams visualize, plan, and manage work at the team and cross-team level. It translates tasks, steps, and handoffs into boards and cards, giving anyone on the team a clear view of what is in progress, what is blocked, and where work stands at any point in the delivery cycle. AgilePlace's kanban model is methodology-agnostic. It supports Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, waterfall, and hybrid delivery equally, so teams can configure boards around their existing process rather than adopting a new one. The software scales from a single team's board to cross-team and portfolio-level views of larger initiatives, connecting day-to-day delivery work to broader objectives. The best thing I like about this Planview AgilePlace platform is it provides strong project and portfolio management capabilities, which can help right from aligning our projects, resources, budgets and other forms of strategic objectives in a single ecosystem platform. I also like their portfolio visibility, resource capacity planning and prioritisation features and other executive-level reporting. Overall, this makes this platform's performance very efficient, and this platform gives our leadership a clear view of our investments and project health, risk and other resource utilisation across every cross functional teams in our organisation. Though this platform is very much effective, there are certain complex learning curves involved, specifically for new users, the initial configuration and portfolio setup are a bit complex, and some advanced reporting or even customisation requirements may require additional expertise, which overall makes the onboarding and reporting experience bit of a hassle. This platform helps us right from prioritising initiatives based on its strategic values and also to balance our resource capacity against demand, which improves the overall portfolio visibility and makes better investment decisions. Instead of managing projects in disconnected spreadsheets and tools, we can have a centralised system which improves governance, forecasting, resource allocation and other executive reporting features. I appreciate the flexibility in the board setup and configuration in Planview AgilePlace. The interface is very easy to understand, which makes coaching a lot easier. The automation feature is awesome, and I use custom automations and lane policies for effective board management and card notifications. What do you dislike about Planview AgilePlace? I'm not able to preset the list view after selecting and arranging the custom fields I'm interested in. It would be nice to have the ability to save the sorting/filtering arrangements of specific fields for easy reporting.
