Invoicing is ok. It can be a great platform but so many nuance issues take the all the good away fast. **What do you dislike about Planning Pod?** The customer service is awful, the UI is insanely clunky, they sell you on customization but that’s a lie. They reiterate over and over again until it becomes noticeably odd that “you will love PP, just give it time”, when clearly that feels like the employees are desperately trying to sell you on a product I don’t even think they like. Line items don’t show on the BEO because they incorrectly built the BEO aspect on the backend. The calendar function is glitchy and has severe limitations. They want you to integrate your email into the platform, don’t do it, it is awful. Messages from one clients portal will get transferred over to a different client which is wild because that’s not professional at all and they have no care about that. I got the impression that this is a common issue that they try and pretend it’s not issue by pretending it’s not their problem. It ‘s somehow the end users issue. Invoices can only be viewed by one person which is hard to navigate because many times in our industry, parents will pay for their kids wedding. I have to remove the bride on the invoice and then re-add the mother of the bride and then once she pays I have to go back in remove her and then re-add the bride. This causes extra work and PP answer was to have the bride share her login details. Like wtf kind of answer is that? That’s how you want your application to be run? They don’t care. We are also constantly running in to timeout issues and even randomly getting logged out while we are working on proposals or other items. Brought up to them - they claimed it was our WiFi. Happens at home, in the office and a fellow venue locally said they have the same issue constantly. They downplay it and continue to find ways to blame you for the issue their application is doing. **What problems is Planning Pod solving and how is that benefiting you?** Actually - it’s not solving anything. It’s making it worse for us. It feels like I’m pointing at a house that is on fire and the firefighter is saying nah, it’s not on fire. I am baffled that the company is completely void of any understanding about their product. It’s like they have to tote the company line no matter what instead of just acknowledging the issues and working to fix them. It’s maddening. I have legit thrown my laptop on 3 or 4 times now because of the issues it has. Every day I log in - I get instantly defeated and wonder what’s the next issues I’ll face with PP. ### 2. We have been able to DOUBLE our volume since starting this software back in March. We were able to have one person tend to all of the events on the docket, whereas in previous years, with this volume, it would not have been fathomable. The software makes it easy to streamline our entire catering process. We can connect our entire team and the clients all on one platform. Our clients enjoy how we have utilized it to automate and streamline their individual experiences. Our drivers and team can view all the contacts and details needed for each event making their day-of procedures streamlined. We can keep track of our turnover rate on inquiries. **What do you dislike about Planning Pod?** There is nothing that we have come across that we do not like about this product. It has been a game-changer for us. **What problems is Planning Pod solving and how is that benefiting you?** When we started with Planning Pod, we were heavily using Quickbooks for all billing. They did not have an integration feature at the time, but they have since added this, which is amazing! ### 3. The contracting and billing capabilities have given us a more professional way to handle these parts of the booking with our clients and eliminated a lot of manual record keeping. **What do you dislike about Planning Pod?** Planning Pod is an easy tool to use, but as with all new systems, there is a learning curve. After a year, we continue to find new ways to work within the tool. **What problems is Planning Pod solving and how is that benefiting you?** It provides a way to set up To-Do list reminders that keep us on track and help us manage the steps along the cycle of each event from lead generation through to the post-event survey. It also gives us real-time views into overdue payments so we can stay on top of the financials. ### 4. From the invoices/proposals to floor plans and communications feature- there are so many different ways our team relies on Planning Pod to organize our events. Making sure we get paid and have contracts signed is the most critical part of our operation and PP streamlines this process for our customers. **What do you dislike about Planning Pod?** I wish we would've found it sooner! It really is a huge undertaking to have to transfer all your files to a new program. We have done this 3 times and it took several weeks. Looking back, making the switch to Planning Pod was the best decision our company has made. **What problems is Planning Pod solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our company had a problem of having information and data on our customers in several different locations. Planning Pod streamlines all our documents, notes, floor plans, timelines, proposals, signed contracts, rental inventory, and invoices into one place. WE have hard copy files and Planning Pod files, and that is it. We do also use dropbox but other than that, Planning Pod eliminated several other programs we were using. We used a floor plan program, timeline software and a workflow/lead organizer. All have been eliminated once we implemented Planning Pod. ### 5. This has been incredibly easy for our clients to make payments online (versus using checks or clunky payment processors), and we were able to integrate both entities housed under the same roof in this system. **What do you dislike about Planning Pod?** I wish there was an online app. It would be extremely helpful and convenient to access information on our clients on the go. **What problems is Planning Pod solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving the issue of double booking between our private events and student programs. I can add pictures to each event and assign vendors and users to each event. It also allows me to assign different levels to each user. So if I want to assign an event to a client, they will only have access to their event and none other. **What do you dislike about Planning Pod?** There are not many downsides, but the few I have found are: the floorplan is a bit off in the dimensions. Twice I've mapped out a room and when we attempted to lay it out, we did not have enough space. The other is that in the old version you could label vendors by category and find them all easily. Now you have to tag them and sometimes we forget to tag them. **What problems is Planning Pod solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used to write out everything in the customer file, so communicating this to all vendors involved was difficult. Something would always fall through the cracks. Not anymore because with the sharing everyone is on the same page. ### 11.
