Planable is a social media management tool built for teams and agencies that create content together. It brings planning, content creation, feedback, approvals, scheduling, publishing, community management, analytics, competitor benchmarking, and social listening into one workspace. Unlike tools built primarily around scheduling, Planable is collaboration-first. Teams can preview posts as they will appear on each social platform, leave feedback directly on the content, suggest exact copy changes, and move drafts through approval workflows before anything goes live. Internal comments and posts stay hidden from clients, while external stakeholders can review and comment through shared links without creating an account. Planable is used by social media agencies, multi-brand and multi-location companies, in-house marketing teams, and freelancers managing multiple accounts. Its Company and Workspace structure keeps each brand or client separate, with its own connected pages, approval settings, labels, templates, Brand Context, and permissions. Teams can plan content in Feed, Calendar, Grid, or List view. Campaigns bring briefs, goals, audiences, messaging, tasks, assets, dates, content, and campaign-level analytics together. Labels, filters, saved Custom Views, templates, recurring and grouped posts, and a searchable Media Library help organize larger content operations. Universal Content also lets teams manage blogs, newsletters, ads, press releases, briefs, and other marketing content alongside social posts. Planable supports no approval, optional approval, required approval, and multi-level approval workflows with sequential stages and designated approvers. Teams can automate approval reminders, schedule posts automatically once approved, lock approved content from further edits, and use My Approvals to see everything awaiting their review across workspaces. Publishing is supported for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, and Google Business Profile. Planable supports platform-specific formats including Instagram carousels, Reels and Stories, first comments, collabs and account tags, Facebook Stories and Reels, LinkedIn PDF carousels, YouTube videos and Shorts, Google Business Profile posts and video, Threads, and multi-image posts. When an API does not support direct publishing, mobile-assisted publishing through Planable's iOS and Android apps helps keep content on schedule. Best Time to Post is available on every plan, with daily updated recommendations and an hourly engagement forecast available directly in the scheduling picker. Planable Analytics covers Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and Google Business Profile, with up to 12 months of historical data and synchronization of posts published natively outside Planable. Teams can track reach, impressions, engagement, reactions, clicks, views, saves, shares, comments, watch time, follower growth, and Google Business Profile actions such as calls, bookings, and direction requests. For Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok, performance can be separated into organic, boosted, and paid results down to individual posts. When an ad account is connected, reports can also include ad spend and cost metrics. Audience insights cover location, age, and gender for Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok, with additional industry, seniority, and job-function data for LinkedIn. Custom reports can combine multiple platforms, reporting periods, and sections in one client-ready view. Teams can add a logo and explanatory notes, then share reports by link or export them to PDF or CSV. Competitor Analytics lets teams track up to five competitors per page across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube. Data is synchronized daily and includes growth tracking, engagement benchmarks, average engagement by content format, competitor top posts, and a positioning matrix comparing posting volume with engagement performance. Competitor insights can be added to the same reports as a team's own performance. Planable Social Listening monitors public brand mentions, competitor mentions, and keywords across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, YouTube, Reddit, and the wider web, including blogs, news sites, forums, and newsletters. Keyword-based monitoring can surface conversations where a brand was not directly tagged. Mentions are classified as positive, neutral, or negative, with volume and sentiment trends available over 7, 14, and 30 days. Alerts can be sent in-app, by email, or through Slack. Planable's AI is grounded in Brand Context, a workspace-level profile containing information such as tone of voice, brand values, approved terminology, and audience. AI features automatically use that context, helping teams maintain a distinct voice for each brand without repeatedly entering the same instructions. Teams can use AI to generate captions from prompts, images, or videos; rewrite or continue copy; generate hashtags and content ideas; match previously published brand voice; create reusable ALT text for media assets; and draft Social Inbox replies. Optional AI content labels are also available for Instagram posts, Reels, and Stories created or modified with AI. The Social Inbox brings comments from Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok into one place, including comments on paid Facebook and Instagram content, plus Instagram and Facebook DMs. Comments can be categorized as Negative, Questions, or Positive and managed through Open, Later, and Done states. Engage permissions can be assigned separately to individual team members. Planable also provides an MCP connector for Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini, available on every plan including the free trial. AI assistants can work with live Planable data to browse workspaces, read posts and comments, create and edit drafts, manage media, approve or reject content where permitted, retrieve performance data, and build reports conversationally. The connector follows existing user permissions, creates drafts rather than publishing posts directly, and cannot bypass approval controls or change account settings. For custom automation, Planable offers a Public API on Pro and Enterprise plans covering workspaces, pages, posts, media, labels, stories, campaigns, Custom Views, and analytics. Integrations also include Slack, Canva, and Zapier. Planable is especially useful for teams where approvals, scattered feedback, client review, or managing multiple brands have become bottlenecks. What do you like best about Planable?

I like that all my accounts are linked together in Planable. I can add more employees without having to worry about how to hand over my accounts to others. I like that I can add suggestions and comments that others should take into account. I like that I can schedule posts. What do you dislike about Planable?

As for selecting which pages content gets created for, you can check or uncheck them from the left-hand sidebar. Every time you create a post, it'll only have those pages selected.

I like that Planable is always effective and that I didn't have to watch any tutorials to get started, as everything is very intuitive. What do you like best about Planable?

I like Planable for its simple UI that just does what it needs to do. The ability to leave feedback and the approval process are valued features, especially useful when having client calls. The fact that there's no API integration is becoming increasingly annoying, especially with AI tools out there that can connect with different kinds of ways. Thanks for the kind words! On the file uploads, when posting through scheduling apps, files get sent via each platform's API, which has stricter size and format requirements than uploading directly. We do our best to process and resize where we can, but sometimes the file needs to meet specific specs before it'll go through. "Streamlines Multi-Platform Social Media Posting"

What do you like best about Planable?

I use Planable for posting to social media across multiple platforms, which is really convenient for managing two businesses. I appreciate how it consolidates all platforms and allows posting at once. The large scheduling time is a big plus, allowing me to schedule months ahead at a time. I like the planner, the layout, and find it fairly user-friendly. It's great that I can see all the posts at any given time and make adjustments or use drag and drop. What do you dislike about Planable?

I find that social media accounts often disconnect, which is annoying. The changing algorithms and standards across platforms mean that sometimes posts do better if posted directly from specific apps, and I'm unsure what Planable can do about this. Also, sometimes the media formatting isn't correct, and Planable's video and clip editing could definitely be better. While I like some of the AI text features, I think these need to be improved as well. The initial setup is pretty straightforward, but it could be a bit more user-friendly, and as long as someone can afford it and it meets their needs, I’d rate it an 8.5. On deleting posts: archiving is actually step one, and once a post is in the archive you can delete it permanently from there (or it clears itself after 30 days). What do you like best about Planable?

I like that I can see the monthly calendar, which really helps in saving time by allowing me to count how many content pieces went live, identify which days have posts, and understand what time they are scheduled for. The ability to change the grid is helpful to plan the visual layout and ensure everything looks good. I also appreciate the AI feature for writing captions. I would like to have the ability to add music directly while scheduling stories. Also, maybe AI captions could be generated better according to specific needs of the brand. Thanks so much for this review! On the music for stories, adding native audio tracks is currently a limitation from Instagram's API, which doesn't allow this through third-party tools. The workaround is to use the mobile push notification to add your music in the Instagram app just before publishing. And the idea of brand voice-aware AI captions is a great one, that kind of personalization is exactly the direction we want to take those features.

I’d love the option to choose a vertical view of my photos for Instagram. For example, if I upload a horizontal image, I should be able to reposition it until I get the vertical crop I prefer, and that’s what will show in the feed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
