In the Q&A section more functions had disappeared, so the overview is now simpler and I could save time. The DeepL engine is being removed from the platform (I do not know if this is good or bad yet.) NextMT appeared on the platform but I do not use it (I use Google engine), so I have no experience with it. Other than that, there weren't many new things in the system for me. The DeepL engine is being removed from the platform. We have lots of MT segments and the system is often unable to pull in the desired terms from the termbase list, so they must be manually click and insert into the target language field. (At the first time we thought that the engineers did not attach the termbase excel at all.) Best MT I have ever used. As always, human supervision is needed, especially when working when sensitive content (as is my case). There is one feature that Phrase offers that, in my experience, is not very common: creating a term base for letting translators which word NOT to use. Unfortunately, in some of my recent projects, an error message appeared when I tried to confirm segments and save my progress. Not all the progress I had made was lost, but confirmed segments are used to track progress. Therefore, the rest of the team was unable to tell how much work I had actually completed. Phrase TMS is an excellent tool for me as a translator, receiving jobs from clients. In the job overview, I can see which jobs are new, started on, or completed. The editing view, where I add my translations, is also very nice. When I have a phrase that is very similar to an old one, Phrase gives me the translation of the older, similar phrase and shows me exactly where the two phrases differ. It's also easy to work with Term Banks and add terms when needed.

If there is something to complain about, then it's the fact that Phrase doesn't necessarily recognize conjugated forms of terms. If I am supposed to use a term, and I actually use it, but in a conjugated form to fit Swedish grammar, Phrase will complain that I haven't used the term. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It helps with translations using AI assistance and makes translation production faster. It also handles repetitive words and sentences, so the translator can more easily maintain consistency across translations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It would be even more helpful if it could use AI to detect inconsistencies among words and phrases in cases beyond exact (100%) or ICE matches. It could also flag potential inconsistencies and prompt me to review them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The platform is very intuitive to use and it's easy to work with either as a translator or as a project manager. When setting up projects, the step by step format is very helpful, as you cannot forget about anything when creating the jobs and assigning them. The content hub has a lot of insightful and helpful information in case you have doubts. Phrase has been optimizing the use of AI, but it's not forcing it on you if you don't feel like using it, so that's also great. Simply put, this is the best translation software I’ve ever used. It’s the ideal solution I’ve been looking for since I started working, and it helps guarantee consistency across all of our projects. The machine translation is quite good and delivers fast results. The translation suggestions are also a great option, and I can customize the preferences to fit my needs. Sometimes I can’t fix sentences using simple keyboard shortcuts, and the translations often feel very fragmented. Some of the results look strange, and at times I also have trouble getting the page to load properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Something that doesn't work very well is the search function. I often want to look for translations that have already been used or see what can be reused in Phrase, but it's not very effective. It's useful for large-scale translations. You don't need to edit the document separately after translating into the target language. I really like that the document's original formatting is preserved when exporting after translation. It's also great that you can check if the target text fits well into shapes, etc., in the preview when translating tables or diagrams. There was an issue where some text was lost in documents containing diagrams. Therefore, I had to check every time to ensure that no translation content was missing. Also, the tags visible in the editor were often distracting, so it would be nice to have a feature to hide them. The menu options like TMS, Strings, Orchestrator, etc., were a bit confusing.
