## Revel Reviews
  ### 1. Poor website for academic learning

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Revel?**

I like the way it was set up, although it was expensive, but that's fine, because I am in college. Everything in my chool for my class went remote.

**What do you dislike about Revel?**

Some of my assignments that I have ompleted say they are incomplete, so personally, I think thats annoying, because I had to e-mail my professors, and they had to keep comtacting the company to gives us the e-book, and all of my professors are annoyed by it.

**Recommendations to others considering Revel:**

I do npt reccomend this website at all, until it gets fixed.

**What problems is Revel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assignment revel. There are no benefits have you realized.

  ### 2. Easy way to access courses

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** McKenna C. | Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Revel?**

Revel has been such a life saver!! It’s super self explanatory and user friendly. It’s allowed me to have easy access to my course work when I’m on the go, and I can even use it without WiFi if I download it. I also love that you can word search and highlight.

**What do you dislike about Revel?**

Sometimes it can be a little jumpy/overly touchy when I’m trying to scroll and read, making it restart the page or something.

**Recommendations to others considering Revel:**

I would definitely use Revel!!

**What problems is Revel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s given a way to read the content we need to no matter where we are with easy access. And being able to search a certain word and gain access to all the times it is mentioned has been so useful!!

  ### 3. Revel is an interactive learning platform for today's tech savvy student

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Curtis O. | Mr Curtis Ogland, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Revel?**

I like the interactive features of Revel, the audio text, interactive quizzes, in-text features that allow students to take quizzes and do exercises. The way the content is packaged. The app was easy to use and access the textbook also. I like how students can access the textbook in multiple modalities.

**What do you dislike about Revel?**

I honestly don't have any dislikes of Revel. I used it in my teaching for Introduction to Sociology and received outstanding feedback from my students. Probably the cost might be a downside. In an age when textbooks are so expensive, students are looking for the cheapest options available.

**What problems is Revel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Revel provides a dynamic e-text that is interactive and engaging for the student. I believe it helps the student to stay more engaged in the content and reading throughout the semester. I didn't use any of the assessment functions, but I have heard that the quizzes and gradebook can seamlessly integrate

  ### 4. Great for Multiple Teaching Methods

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Revel?**

I like the videos, games and online manipulatives. It makes learning a bit more fun for the students and allows them more independence.

**What do you dislike about Revel?**

Some of the tools can only be found in some units and not all of the topic units.

**What problems is Revel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a great tool for students to learn independently and at their own pace. I can use it for all learners.

  ### 5. Smarter POS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nik G. | Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Revel?**

It is user-friendly but complex as you'd like to get with sales items. Interfaced almost always seemlessly with the books. Best of all, less touches than other POS systems, which made ordering faster.

**What do you dislike about Revel?**

Sometimes the close out protocol was redundant or confusing for some employees, but still learnable. Not much negative to say about Revel for what we used it for.

**Recommendations to others considering Revel:**

If backend planning is important to you, Revel is an excellent POS system.

**What problems is Revel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Revel was a simple POS but a POS with depth. Engineered well, ordering became so much easier.

  ### 6. Excellent Teaching tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiffany H. | Instructor, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Revel?**

Revel offers an interactive e-book for the course which makes life easier for student engagement. I love having supplemental material on hand as well.

**What do you dislike about Revel?**

I don't like that I have to deselect the quizzes in the textbook. I would prefer to be able to choose to deactivate them all and activate at will.

**Recommendations to others considering Revel:**

The ease of use is great for both the instructor and the student.

**What problems is Revel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest benefit Is having complete online access and cell phone compatibility.

  ### 7. It works as intended

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Revel?**

It works fine for digitally based coursework.

**What do you dislike about Revel?**

It doesn't operate as smoothly as competing programs, Pearson customer support is a hassle, direct integration with LMS systems does not function very well in comparison to other programs like Connect. Extra tutoring and learning reinforcement is lacking in comparison to free programs like Khan Academy.

**Recommendations to others considering Revel:**

If you're locked to Pearson products it does work as intended, though modern integration shortcomings make it feel inferior to similar products.

**What problems is Revel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is required for coursework. Do your work on time, report bugs or questions to the professor, and you're good to go. Again, it is very basic but lacking in convenience and overall quality compared to similar programs.

  ### 8. Great for learners and teachers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Revel?**

I love that my students can work on classwork remotely. Being able to see if they even log in or not is a great feature and helps me know how my class of 75 is doing. It's a great way for kids to save money as well, as they don't need to buy the loose leaf textbook. The interface is clean and easy to look at. It's also great for those who have learning accommodations because the text can be read aloud to the individuals.

**What do you dislike about Revel?**

My students still complain about the price, which is definitely difficult. Highlighting also seems to be a little difficult, just technology wise. I think there could be an easier way to highlight, or rather, make it not feel like we're doing it in the early 2000s.

**Recommendations to others considering Revel:**

I've heard that the support is great if you just contact them.

**What problems is Revel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like I said, being able to see what my students are doing and what their activity is on the site is really helpful when it comes to seeing what I need to lecture about. It solves issues with students who have reading disabilities as well since the text can be read aloud. It accommodates commuter students and helps me and run my classroom more efficiently. It's also nice that students don't necessarily have to pay for a textbook - they definitely appreciate a little bit of a lower cost.

  ### 9. Acceptable tool for e-learning and continual testing of students.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Revel?**

I liked best that the software allowed you to have online access to textbooks and purchase a digital code instead of a physical book. It was nice to have audio reading for passages and interactive videos with the texts. It is always helpful to have built in highlighting tools and definitions right on the page.

**What do you dislike about Revel?**

The software lacks due to the fact that it errors continually, and you have to refresh the pages. Quizzes and questionnaires are often not in line with the book’s content and trick you. It can be difficult to navigate back and forth or get to your place that you left off. It’s also sometimes not true to the physical text which can leave gaps in learning.

**What problems is Revel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Revel assists with helping students learn in a convenient fashion, where texts can be accessed on a phone app, computer, and other devices. It’s great when you need to hear the text while reading, which is often not available in physical versions. It allows for more interactive learning and integrates supplementary sources. It’s beneficial for the environment and saves money versus a physical text. It’s great for continual learning and testing one’s self on what they read with multiple choice questions.

  ### 10. Revel is Great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Revel?**

I like the easy to follow flow of the content, and eh overall ease of access. he presentation to the student is great.

**What do you dislike about Revel?**

I wish the audio files could be sped up a bit more and that the audio navigation would bookmark locations more precisely on the current page. Also, sometimes the grades do not always sync smoothly with the LMS.

**Recommendations to others considering Revel:**

Establish a good relationship with your regional sales rep. They can push problem-solving of tech issues through to the correct people much faster than going through standard tech support.

**What problems is Revel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

3rd party content supplementation of several courses.

  ### 11. Good source

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katina B. | Human Resources Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Revel?**

I do a lot of online corse work at school and this quarter using revel is a great source with the Togo study app!

**What do you dislike about Revel?**

Having different pearsons courses, my account locked at times because I’m using more than one Pearson product

**What problems is Revel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I am a consumer, I’m getting more work done and lots more information retained

  ### 12. Always crashing

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Revel?**

easy to use when it worked which was not often. The interface was very sleek.

**What do you dislike about Revel?**

always crashing or really slow, made it hard to do anything. It would take it sweet time while we had customers in the shop waiting to order

**What problems is Revel solving and how is that benefiting you?**
