Our business began in 1997 as ‘Tracker Software Products Ltd’ to develop document management and imaging-related software. These products included TIFF and PDF digital conversion utilities that enabled the conversion of many document formats to TIFF and PDF for subsequent archiving within document management products. These standalone conversion applications quickly proved their worth and we made the decision to concentrate on the development of these utilities for the end-user and third-party software developer markets. During the intervening years we have become a global leader in the PDF software market. Our offices are located in Canada, the U.K., Bulgaria and Ukraine. Our corporate headquarters relocated to Vancouver Island, British Columbia, in 2008. At 2016 we incorporated PDF-XChange Co Ltd in the U.K. to tie together all of our interests worldwide. In the coming months it is our intention to rebrand all of our sales and marketing under this one common brand worldwide. Our vision is to provide dynamic and powerful software for the creation, editing, manipulation and conversion of PDF documents, and our applications can convert a huge range of document formats to and from PDF. What do you like best about PDF-XChange Editor?

I like that PDF-XChange Editor lets users password-protect their PDFs. This is especially useful in our firm when we send payslips, because it helps ensure no one else can open or view another employee’s confidential information. The document-editing features are also extremely helpful in a corporate setting, particularly for updating and refining client documents when changes are needed. What do you dislike about PDF-XChange Editor?

I feel that the editor’s interface looks quite dated, and it could be modernized to provide a better overall user experience. Also, when using the enhanced OCR plug-in, I didn’t like that it often fails to capture text accurately from scans. What problems is PDF-XChange Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?

The impressive editing and security features that PDF X-change editor provides are very useful for corporate workers. The security features are especially useful in the firm, for example, to password-protect documents when sending payslips to employees. This helps ensure that no one else can view other employees’ confidential information. The text and image editing tools save a lot of time when working on client documents, and the annotation features can be very useful for certain types of edits. "Fast, Customizable PDF-XChange Editor with a great features and a software that I own (not rent)"

What do you like best about PDF-XChange Editor?

The speed of PDF-XChange Editor is something that really stands out. Even with large files, it doesn't take a long time to load or bloat my computer.

Apart from this, the configurable toolbar is really great. I've configured it such that my most often used tools, such as the measuring features and the OCR, are easily located. I can just use it with a single click rather than navigating menus (which saves a lot of time).

Having a one-time purchasing tool is also a great relief. I genuinely own the program. I don't feel like I'm being "rented" it.

What do you dislike about PDF-XChange Editor?

For me personally, the UI is the main drawback. Although it is an acquired taste, many people like it. I think the options are cluttered to the point that it's easy to feel overwhelmed, and it feels somewhat outdated.

The fact that it is exclusive to Windows is another blocker for me. It feels a little restrictive because I can't utilize it when switching to a Mac or iPad.

Also, it's very simple to unintentionally use a "Pro" function without recognizing it, only to discover that a watermark has been put on the page. Lastly, I would like to add that some integrations can be buggy as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PDF-XChange Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?

It really comes in clutch when I have to solve software bloat and work under limited finances. The majority of editors are either too basic or far too costly, but PDF-XChange Editor provides me with pro-level features without requiring a costly monthly membership.

It helps me manage large technical files on a regular basis, which typically causes other apps to slow down or crash.

Another great benefit is the OCR function, which makes my work (while doing my daily tasks at Shopify) and locating material in my archives much easier by converting photos into searchable text.

A disorganized old pile of photos is changed to a polished, searchable library. Which is really amazing.

"Lightweight Editor with Powerful Annotation Features"

What do you like best about PDF-XChange Editor?

I used PDF-XChange Editor for collaborating and creating annotations on drawings, and it was the best in the market. The main reason I used it was because of the smoothness and lightweight nature coupled with a powerful annotation bundle. I appreciate its ability to work well on budget computers. I also like the annotation bundle and the ability to add JavaScript tools. It was perfect for editing PDF files, allowing for perfect content editing without needing to use Doc or xlsx files. What do you dislike about PDF-XChange Editor?

I think the UI could be improved. It's somehow old-fashioned. I think a modern design would be better. If there was a feature to add pattern fill to objects, it would be very useful. For example, a diagonal hatch for a rectangle instead of a solid fill. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PDF-XChange Editor?

My experience with PDF-XChange Editor has been nothing less than satisfactory. It integrates directly with Outlook to send and manage documents without switching applications. Its toolset is powerful and versatile; in my day to day life, I need to review, edit and manage a wide variety of PDF documents and PDF-XChange delivers every time. I like its speed and ease of use; I can annotate documents, make quick edits and move between tools, as well as convert formats and even scan documents directly from the editor. What do you like best about PDF-XChange Editor?

Very easy to use, amazing features such as mark ups, book marks, advance search options, thumbnails, manipulating page order and orientation etc. good speed and love the OCR Conversion as well as exporting to images, exporting to excel and word and multiple editing options on ones figertips. What do you dislike about PDF-XChange Editor?

I am trying to use Java Console and compared to Adobe PDF, it is not that friendly. In search if there could be an option to highlight different search wildcards with different colors, it would be very helpful for complex documentation checking. Comments resolution can be another feature like MS Word like if someone comments on the document, the next user can review and comment on it further with a chain traceability in same comment can can resolve or reject etc. the comment as well. I am a design manager and engineer by profession alot of documents and layouts and drawings for us need to be issued and reviewed with comments as well. Alot of time Auto CAD and MS Word and MS Excel documentation has to be converted into rich text pdf and it helps alot.
