I use PCLinuxOS daily as the desktop OS on my work machine, mostly for development and general office tasks. It’s very stable and lightweight, and it works well right out of the box, including driver support and multimedia playback. I especially appreciate that it’s a rolling release, so I can stay up to date without having to reinstall the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The community is smaller than those of more popular Linux distributions, so there are fewer tutorials and third-party resources available. Also, some newer applications aren’t always included by default and end up requiring manual installation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
