More than 30,000 events a year run on it, from internal town halls to multi-day flagship conferences. Most teams running a global all-hands or a flagship conference are solving a broadcast problem with a conferencing tool. That works until it doesn't — the feed drops mid-keynote, the recording comes back unusable, and the remote audience watches a frozen slide. Patchbay was built by broadcast engineers and technical directors who spent years in control rooms where "the stream failed" was not a survivable outcome. Three ways to produce: Core — ingest a live feed over RTMP, RTMPS, SRT, Zixi, RIST or RTP, encode up to 4K HDR, enrich it, and distribute to multiple destinations at once. Scheduling, redundancy and error mitigation are automated, and automated slates cover input loss. Simulive — schedule pre-recorded video to play out as genuine live programming, in any time zone. Drag-and-drop playlists, stitched sessions, breaks and intro/outro loops, graphics triggered on schedule, and anything from a 30-minute session to a 24/7 linear channel. Studio — build a run of show on a timeline, combining live feeds, pre-recorded clips, graphics and remote speakers from a browser. Green room, speaker prep, on-brand themes, and central or automated switching. Enrichment, built-in: Captions in 40+ languages (human or AI), ASL/BSL/ISL sign language interpretation, audio description and dubbing — scheduled in a few clicks inside the same pipeline, not a separate production exercise and not a second vendor. Supports ADA, EAA and FCC accessibility requirements. Distribution: Concurrent delivery to social platforms (YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Twitch, Instagram, TikTok, Vimeo), CDNs (Akamai, Cloudflare, Fastly, AWS, Azure, Google), video platforms (Kaltura, Brightcove, Panopto, Vbrick, Qumu) and event platforms (Cvent, Bizzabo, RainFocus, ON24, Teams). The platform they built integrates seamlessly with our requirements and is easy to use. Their services are extremely reliable, and when we do need support, their response time, problem-solving, and advice are always top tier. **What do you dislike about Patchbay?** There isn't anything we dislike about Patchbay. Any issues we've had have been addressed and resolved to our satisfaction. They communicate proactively about new services, new features, and changes to existing ones, which keeps them on the cutting edge of what they offer. **What problems is Patchbay solving and how is that benefiting you?** Patchbay offers a wide range of broadcast and live streaming services, and they work closely with our team to solve our increasingly complex streaming requirements. Live video and virtual events can get complicated quickly, and Patchbay makes the production and distribution process much easier to manage without sacrificing quality or flexibility. The platform is reliable and capable of handling complex live-video workflows, but what really stands out is the people. Their team understands the realities of live events, responds quickly when something needs attention, and works more like a partner than a typical technology vendor. For me, that combination of strong technology, reliability, flexibility, and hands-on expertise is what makes Patchbay stand out. **What do you dislike about Patchbay?** There honestly wasn’t anything significant that I disliked about Patchbay. The platform did what we needed it to do, and when questions or more complex requirements came up, their team was extremely responsive and easy to work with. If anything, some of the more advanced capabilities naturally require a little familiarity with live production workflows, but Patchbay’s support made that easy to navigate. **What problems is Patchbay solving and how is that benefiting you?** Patchbay helps solve the complexity of producing and managing professional live video at scale. It brings together many of the technical pieces required for live production, content management, and distribution into a much more streamlined workflow. The biggest benefit is being able to deliver reliable, high-quality live experiences without adding unnecessary production complexity or resources. Their diagnostics tools were extremely helpful in our high profile events. **What do you dislike about Patchbay?** Some of the monitoring pages for our sessions do not have direct links to navigate. There was a secret URL that I had to memorize to get to a page I needed. **What problems is Patchbay solving and how is that benefiting you?** Patchbay solves the problem of high quality streaming in any major city around the world. They also provide live captions on top of our company broadcasts.
