## OpsLevel Reviews
  ### 1. Easy to use dashboard to link everything

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2023

**What do you like best about OpsLevel?**

OpsLevel provides real-time insights into the health and performance of services, enabling teams to proactively identify and address issues before they escalate. It links all (most) of the tools we use to provide a single place to overview the health of our systems.

**What do you dislike about OpsLevel?**

For teams new to the platform, there is a learning curve to understand its features and functionalities, which initially slowed down adoption. Continuous management and updates are required to ensure that OpsLevel remains effective and aligned with evolving operational needs gives it a feeling that the "job is never done"

**What problems is OpsLevel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By providing the single point of access to overview most of our systems, it's allowed us to quickly identify where there might be problems when something goes wrong. It does however, require a lot of configuration and there is quite a lot of room for error.

  ### 2. Ease of use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2023

**What do you like best about OpsLevel?**

- User interface is intuitive and easy to navigate
- Features are well-integrated
- Documentation is comprehensive and helpful

**What do you dislike about OpsLevel?**

Feature set is not as comprehensive as some other monitoring platforms. For example, OpsLevel does not offer some features that are available in other platforms, such as anomaly detection and root cause analysis

**What problems is OpsLevel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpsLevel is a monitoring and observability platform that helps organizations understand the health and performance of their infrastructure. It solves a number of problems, including:

Visibility: OpsLevel provides organizations with a single pane of glass view of their infrastructure, making it easy to see what is happening and where problems are occurring.
Alerting: OpsLevel can be configured to send alerts when problems are detected, so that organizations can be notified quickly and take action to resolve the problem.
Troubleshooting: OpsLevel provides organizations with the tools they need to troubleshoot problems, including logs, metrics, and traces.
Incident management: OpsLevel can be integrated with incident management tools, so that organizations can track and manage incidents more effectively.

  ### 3. Its been easy to use and monitor

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tabs M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2023

**What do you like best about OpsLevel?**

I like the different levels you have for each service / repo . It helps you know what youre missing and the standard your setting as a business

**What do you dislike about OpsLevel?**

I dislike unnecessary alerts, wish we could make it more specific

**What problems is OpsLevel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us know when services are down in our our operational centres and help us get ahead of bugs

  ### 4. A very good developer portal for our usecase

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2023

**What do you like best about OpsLevel?**

Extensibility and many APIs to cover many information sources and types in order to add as many data points for the services as possible.
Starting using it primarily for service ownership, then added service tiers and checks in order to also focus on service quality.
Opslevel team taking feedback into consideration and improving the product.

**What do you dislike about OpsLevel?**

Some features are still being worked on and don't offer the full support we'd want at this point - e.g. versioning support for documentation or other types of documentation (REST being the only type currently supported).

**What problems is OpsLevel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Service ownership, single pane of glass with links to information about services and also service quality gating based on checks.

  ### 5. Change management and standardization made easy!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about OpsLevel?**

I love the feature to notify other dependencies about breaking changes that are incoming so that they can respond appropriately.

**What do you dislike about OpsLevel?**

I wish that rules allowed regex statements so that I could check for directories that are present and that check would be case insensitive.

**What problems is OpsLevel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Change management and standardization. We can easily standardize our various projects across a base set of rules. We can also notify dependencies of incoming breaking changes.

  ### 6. OpsLevel has helped us a lot with service operations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about OpsLevel?**

The integration with services git repos so we can easily update details like documentation, dashboards, and alerts.

**What do you dislike about OpsLevel?**

It usually takes a long time to sync changes in the opslevel yml file when it gets updated in the repo.

**What problems is OpsLevel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralization of operations for software services my company owns. It is benefiting me because it saves me time on finding all the information I need when I'm on call.

  ### 7. Ops Level

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2023

**What do you like best about OpsLevel?**

ops level is a great tool for us developers, it helps us clearly know who owns what and to see where things stand. It's helped us to clearly track our projects

**What do you dislike about OpsLevel?**

nothing, i love ops level - it is such a fantastic tool

**What problems is OpsLevel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

understanding where our projects sit and how far along they are. We are able to track budgets for our projects

  ### 8. OpsLevel has great features and a great team with a good, not great UI

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2022

**What do you like best about OpsLevel?**

- They keep track of our teams in one source of truth
- They keep of our services and collates their metadata in one place
- They provide an easy way to run automated checks ion our code

**What do you dislike about OpsLevel?**

- Only tracks services, not libraries or things like CLIs, mobile apps etc
- UI is a little clunky for such a new product
- ETL exports don't seem to be top priority for them

**What problems is OpsLevel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to have services that were hurting the health of our systems - they would be failing on a double-digit percentage of requests, hurting the health of our engineers (firing multiple SEV incidents per day) or just annoying to work in (CI passed 1/5 times and engineers would just retry till it passed). OpsLevel has enabled us to drive improvements on the worst offenders.

**Official Response from Megan Dorcey:**

> Thanks for that honest feedback! I took a screen grab and sent your feedback to our product team :-) - very helpful.

  ### 9. A great product for any Engineering leader

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2022

**What do you like best about OpsLevel?**

OpsLevel helps me quickly understand our Engineering landscape through the Service Catalog and also helps me easily track the overall "health" of my team's services. I can gain insights quickly at scale and then drive meaningful changes across our entire service landscape without adding painful overhead

**What do you dislike about OpsLevel?**

No major dislikes; the product is evolving quickly and constantly adding useful new features; communication of those upcoming features/roadmap would be more helpful beyond account check-in calls

**What problems is OpsLevel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpsLevel is solving my Engineering problem of needing to know all of the services that my team is responsible for; it provides a holistic perspective for all roles in our Engineering team to be able to have a "self-service" portal for them to gain information

**Official Response from Megan Dorcey:**

> Thanks for the feedback! Note taken on more communication when we launch new things - we'll work on that!

  ### 10. Great service catalog and maturity tracker.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven P. | Vice President, Architecture and Cloud Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2022

**What do you like best about OpsLevel?**

Great visibility into realtime state maturity as well as a service catalog.

**What do you dislike about OpsLevel?**

Not enough guided checks. Very powerful, but my org does not have the time to invest in checks writing checks. Need more integrations.

**What problems is OpsLevel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Catalog and Service Dependencies is our most used feature.
