"Seamless API-Led and RPA Automation in One Unified MuleSoft Ecosystem"
5/5
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

The standout strength of MuleSoft Automation is how seamlessly it bridges modern, API-led connectivity with low-code integration and legacy Robotic Process Automation (RPA) into a single, unified ecosystem. Instead of forcing you to choose between modernizing via APIs or relying on brittle UI scraping, it allows technical teams and business users to collaborate: RPA bots can interact with legacy interfaces that lack modern endpoints, wrap those actions into reusable assets, and feed directly into Anypoint Platform workflows or Salesforce Flow. This eliminates fragmented point-to-point automation tools and ensures that bot-driven workflows inherit the same enterprise-grade governance, observability, and security standards as your core integration layer. What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

The primary drawbacks of MuleSoft Automation center on high total cost of ownership, architectural fragmentation, and RPA maturity: High Cost and Complex Licensing: Between Anypoint Platform cores, MuleSoft Composer seats, RPA bot runner licenses, and API/execution volume credits, licensing costs escalate quickly. For many organizations, the financial barrier to entry is hard to justify compared to specialized standalone tools. Fragmented Administrative Experience: Because MuleSoft Automation is a composite of different technologies (core Anypoint, Composer, and the acquired Servicetrace RPA platform), the user experience can still feel disjointed. "Boosts Integration Speed with Reusable APIs and Intelligent Workflows"
4.5/5
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

What I like best about MuleSoft Automation is its ability to automate repetitive integration and business processes while reducing manual effort. It helps accelerate the development and deployment of integrations by leveraging reusable APIs, automation capabilities, and intelligent workflows. This improves developer productivity, reduces errors, and allows teams to focus more on higher-value initiatives. I also like how it complements the broader MuleSoft and Salesforce ecosystem, making it easier to connect systems and automate end-to-end processes across applications and data sources. What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

One area I would like to see improved in MuleSoft Automation is the initial setup and learning curve. Configuring complex automation workflows can require specialized MuleSoft knowledge, particularly when integrating multiple systems or handling advanced business logic. Troubleshooting and monitoring automated processes could also be more intuitive. More out-of-the-box templates, simpler configuration, stronger debugging capabilities, and clearer documentation would make it easier for teams to adopt automation quickly and manage it at scale. What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

What I like most about MuleSoft Automation is how it streamlines complex business processes and integrates systems seamlessly across the enterprise. It cuts down on manual effort, boosts operational efficiency, and helps teams automate repetitive tasks with minimal coding. Overall, the platform speeds up delivery, improves accuracy, and provides end-to-end visibility. By connecting applications, data, and workflows in a scalable and secure way, it also supports faster innovation across the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

While MuleSoft Automation provides strong integration and automation capabilities, a key drawback is the steep learning curve for new users, particularly when building complex workflows and integrations. Troubleshooting and debugging can also be time-consuming at times, and licensing costs may be a concern for smaller teams or projects. In addition, maintaining large-scale automations can become complicated without clear governance, solid documentation, and consistent monitoring practices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MuleSoft Makes Integrations Easier and Keeps Data Consistent Across Systems"
3.5/5
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

it addresses the biggest operational headache in enterprise transformation: silos between modern tools, legacy software, and business teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

While MuleSoft Automation is powerful, its main drawback is its high cost and steep technical barrier to entry. For consultants, the platform's proprietary DataWeave language creates a sharp learning curve that locks workflows into skilled developer queues, conflicting with the low-code "citizen developer" promise. "MuleSoft Makes Cross-System Integrations and Data Consistency Effortless"
5/5
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

What I like about MuleSoft is how it helps connect different systems and applications so data can flow between them more efficiently. From a Salesforce perspective, I like that it can reduce manual work, automate integrations, and make it easier to keep data consistent across different platforms. It’s especially useful when multiple systems need to work together without building everything from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

What I dislike about MuleSoft is that it can feel overly complex, especially when troubleshooting integrations or trying to understand where an issue is coming from. There can be a lot of moving pieces, so even something that seems simple can sometimes take longer than expected to diagnose and resolve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible automation for connecting systems and processes"
4.5/5
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

What I like most about MuleSoft Automation is how it helps connect different systems and automate processes that would otherwise require a lot of manual work. It provides a flexible way to integrate applications and move information between them while keeping workflows more consistent. I also like that it can work across different systems rather than being limited to a single platform. This makes it useful for simplifying repetitive processes and improving overall operational efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

The main challenge is that getting started can require some technical understanding, especially when working with more complex integrations and automation workflows. Designing and troubleshooting integrations can also take time when there are multiple systems involved. The platform offers a lot of flexibility, but that can make it feel a little overwhelming for users who are new to integration tools. More beginner-friendly guidance and simpler setup for common use cases would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I especially value how it enables organizations to focus more on solving business problems rather than managing manual, time-consuming tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

The main challenge is that it can take some time to learn and configure effectively, especially for more complex automation scenarios. "Powerful Real-Time Integration and Automation"
4/5
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

What I like best about MuleSoft Automation is that it allows us to integrate different systems and make data available in Salesforce in near real time. I especially like that we can view customer purchase history in Salesforce within a few seconds. This gives sales and service teams quick access to the most up-to-date customer information without having to manually look for it in another system. It saves time and makes it easier for teams to work with accurate information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

One thing I dislike about MuleSoft Automation is that setting up and troubleshooting integrations can sometimes be complex. When an integration involves multiple systems, it can take time to identify where an issue is occurring and understand the root cause. The learning curve can also be a little steep for someone who is new to MuleSoft. More straightforward documentation and troubleshooting guidance would make it easier to build and maintain integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MuleSoft: Governance & Automation Powerhouse"
4.5/5
What do you like best about MuleSoft Automation?

I think the most important things in MuleSoft Automation are governance, authorizations, and policy. That is the strength of the MuleSoft Automation. It's really strong on automation, authorization, governance, and monitoring, allowing me to assign tasks clearly to the right users without crossing permission lines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuleSoft Automation?

I mean, MuleSoft should have their own especially for the break parameters on MCP servers, for API managers, exchange, applying policies, deploying like, all those things that we have can do from the user interface, they should categorize it by category. They should, develop some MCP server. If someone wants to make those things outside of the break bottom, it should be able. So MuleSoft should consider having the endpoints or MCP server for each task or category of task that we can accomplish from user and pit enter paste. It should be automated outside of the print form. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
