## About Motion
What is Motion? Motion is an AI-powered productivity and scheduling platform that combines task management, calendar automation, and project organization in a single intelligent workspace. It helps individuals and teams automatically plan their workdays, balance priorities, and manage tasks, projects, and meetings with precision. By integrating artificial intelligence into everyday planning, Motion reduces manual scheduling effort and helps users focus on meaningful work instead of time management. Motion belongs to the category of agentic productivity and workflow automation software. It is used by professionals, teams, and organizations that require structured yet adaptive work systems — including project managers, customer support teams, product leads, and executives. The platform dynamically builds and adjusts each user’s daily schedule based on deadlines, task urgency, and meeting times, using real-time AI reasoning to ensure productivity and balance. At its core, Motion’s AI engine automatically creates, prioritizes, and reschedules tasks across personal and shared calendars. When new meetings or urgent projects appear, Motion recalculates the optimal plan in seconds. It synchronizes with Google Calendar and Outlook to provide a unified overview of both individual and team commitments, ensuring that no time is lost to conflicts or overbooking. A key innovation within Motion is its ecosystem of AI Employees — autonomous digital assistants trained to perform specialized functions. Each AI Employee operates through AI Skills, such as writing, scheduling, or client response management. These virtual team members collaborate with human users to automate workflows, track deliverables, and generate structured outputs directly within Motion’s workspace. Motion also features AI Chat, a conversational interface that connects all data within the platform. Users can ask natural-language questions like “What tasks are overdue?” or “Summarize my last meeting,” and receive instant, context-aware answers drawn from Motion’s tasks, AI Docs, and AI Notetaker summaries. This capability bridges the gap between structured project data and intuitive AI interaction, making Motion an agentic system that not only manages but understands work. Key features include: • AI task and schedule automation – builds optimized daily plans. • Project and team coordination tools – assign, track, and visualize work progress. • AI Employees and Skills – delegate repeatable or creative work to autonomous AI units. • AI Chat and AI Notetaker – conversational access to notes, summaries, and actions. • Cross-platform integration – accessible via web and mobile for hybrid teams. By combining automation, intelligence, and collaboration, Motion represents the evolution of productivity — an AI-native platform built for teams that want to work smarter, faster, and more efficiently.

## Motion Reviews
  ### 1. Motion Keeps Me on Track with University—Smart Prioritisation and Assignment Progress

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mili F. | University Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I love using Motion for keeping on top of university. I create projects with all the tasks I need to do for each week, which Motion easily prioritises for me based on when I have the respective class each week. I also love it for prompting my progress when working on assignments, which I can easily break down into stages. I use motion every day so that I know exactly what I need to get done that day. It also easily integrates things scheduled in my Outlook calendar, getting rid of double ups in scheduling.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

It can be quite time consuming to set up, and usually takes about half a day to completely set up for a full 12 week semester.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion helps me to keep track of the weekly assigned readings for each assignment, and keeps me on top of starting my assignments on time.

  ### 2. Misleading “Free Trial” and Overpriced, Low-Value Product

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe S. | co-founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I find Motion to be rather uninspiring and lacking in value.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The platform is unnecessarily complex, with features that add more confusion than value. The AI agents frequently generate irrelevant email replies or meaningless projects. Pricing is extremely high relative to the actual utility. Most concerning, the company advertises a free trial but charges the full subscription almost immediately — a misleading and unfair practice that undermines trust. Overall, the product fails to deliver on its promises and is not worth the cost.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion is not solving any real problems for me. Instead of saving time, it created more work with confusing features and random AI outputs. I saw no benefit — only frustration and unexpected charges.

  ### 3. Motion Supercharged My Productivity with an Organized, Timely Calendar

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sabrina A. | Senior Director Curriculum Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Motion has elevated my productivity to the max. I am am able to enter task for different projects and have an organized and timely calendar to follow. I use motion every single day and it has been instrumental to improving my work flow.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Sometimes the program can be a bit glitchy. Just yesterday I accidentally marked a task as completely done but I only wanted to mark that portion done. I searched and searched and couldn't find an 'undo' button. That was frustrating

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My job is very flexible in terms of how I spend my day. This can be both liberating and entirely too unstructured. I usually make a manual list of things 'to do' and attack them accordingly. Motion does it for me based on my calendar including my meetings, time blocks and a wide variety of other settings and guardrails I put it. Now, I sit down on Monday morning and my calendar is set up for me, ready to go.

  ### 4. Effortless Scheduling with a Few Hiccups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachael H. | Nutritional Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I like that Motion finds the open spots on my calendar and places tasks in a way that already prioritizes them. I also like that I can reorganize things pretty easily if I need to. Motion helps me to not spend time on my calendar figuring out where to place different tasks that I need to do in between appointments.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I have a lot of family calendars that I use, and I think that I have figured out a way to use it how it is now, but it could be a little bit easier to find times to do things with the different calendars within Motion. For instance, on my Google Calendar, I have a calendar for every one of my children, my husband, and myself. And then I have a family calendar when all of us will be doing something. But then on Motion, I have time blocks for work, anytime, school, and then I homeschool. And sometimes it can get a little bit confusing configuring that with all of my calendars.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motion to handle my scheduling, which helps organize my calendar and prioritize tasks, saving me time by finding open slots for tasks between appointments.

  ### 5. Transformative Task Management, Perfect for Procrastinators

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I really find Motion easy to use and simple to set up, making getting tasks into the calendar a breeze. Syncing it with my work calendar is really simple as well. What I like most is that when I don't complete a task, it doesn't just fall away or get lost. Motion moves everything around in my calendar so that each task that's supposed to be done actually gets done and doesn't get forgotten. It also notifies me if a task has passed its deadline, allowing me to make it the highest priority to get it finished. The way it helps me prioritize tasks and reschedules them if not completed has been transformational and life-changing for me. It's been brilliant, really ensuring that nothing falls by the wayside.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I can't say there's much at this point. I'm really at the moment using it predominantly for task management. I haven't moved into the project management side. We've tried it with the meeting notetaker, we have other meeting notetakers that we used. It's not that Motion isn't good. It's just that the ones that we have are built in and just are useful for that.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motion to manage daily tasks and prioritize them effectively. It solves my procrastination issues by deciding task priorities for me. It's life-changing because it reschedules incomplete tasks automatically, ensuring nothing gets forgotten. This feature has been transformational in my workflow.

  ### 6. Takes a while to get used to, but might become indispensable in my work/private life.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathelijn H. | Event Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

The AI customer support is really helpful, unlike other AI customer support systems. The actual human customer support also follows up afterwards regardless of whether you got an answer to your problem. I love the integration it does with my Google accounts, and it let's me combine my private and work accounts seamlessly. I'm very fond of a visual overview of my calendar and my tasks, and Motion does that very well.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I feel like some features that are intuitive and basic to me, are not thought of to be implemented by now. For example I can only set a fixed weekly work schedule, not let my work hours vs personal hours vary day by day. I also can't allow automatic task scheduling of personal/private tasks when my work calendar is scheduled for a full out of office block. Motion should be able to recognize this and be able to distinguish work tasks vs private tasks and allocate them automatically. I do find it quite a steep learning curve/it took me a while to find a system within Motion to manage my to do's that works for me personally.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Once you give realistic estimates of how long a task takes, I find it extremely helpful to understand whether my project is feasible within the deadlines I'm given, or if I need to outsource work or re-evaluate the deadlines. It took me a while to find a sytem that works within Motion, but it's starting to give me a clear overview of my to do's per project, and a clear timeframe to complete them in. It gives me peace of mind and clarity, and time to do other things instead of trying to navigate the mess that is my employer's project tracking system.

  ### 7. Brilliant Tool for Staying Organized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan G.

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I like Motion because I can see everything in one place, and then see things in different formats depending on how my brain is working that day. It was pretty easy to set up, and the short videos were super helpful. I also appreciate how it helped me stay organized for work and school, especially when I was getting my master's degree. It allowed me to map out all the things for my classes, deadlines, and things like that. I recommend Motion to people all the time.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I don't really have anything that I dislike about Motion.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motion to stay organized for work. I work on a lot of different projects with varying deadlines and meetings with other people. When things come up, Motion remaps the projects based on those deadlines and that is the biggest benefit. Not having to figure out what to move and where.

  ### 8. AI-Powered Workflow Mastery with Motion

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Asia K. | Program Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I like using Motion's AI feature to ask questions about how I'm spending my time and if there's a better way I could operationalize things. It's really helpful in identifying if I've missed something. I also like the feature that allows me to send tasks directly from my email. The AI agenda is something I use daily as it organizes my tasks into what I need to prioritize, helping me to manage everything effectively.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I'd really love for Motion to have an actual task time tracking feature to see how much time I actually spend on tasks. Right now, I can only put an estimate, like saying something takes about thirty minutes, but it would be helpful to track the actual time spent. This way, I could know if I'm overestimating or underestimating. At the moment, it doesn't have the capability to do this.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion keeps track of all my tasks, especially last-minute ones. It helps me determine my capacity and managing my workload effectively. This keeps me on track both professionally and personally.

  ### 9. Intelligent organization that maintains focus and avoids delays in daily life

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel G. | Quality Manager, Consumer Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Motion?**

What I like most about Motion is the smart way it automatically organizes tasks and the schedule, helping to maintain focus on what really matters and avoid delays in daily life.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

What I like least about Motion is that the learning curve can be a bit confusing at first, and the price ends up being high for those who are just starting or use the tool in a simpler way.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion solves the problem of lack of organization and poor time management, especially when there are many tasks and commitments at the same time. It is benefiting me by automating the day's planning, reducing mental overload, and increasing my productivity, as I always know what to do and when to do it.

  ### 10. Brings Peace to My Workflow, But Pricey with a Short Trial

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan P. | Daily Money Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I LOVE that it just tells me what to do. What that means is, is that although all my tasks are screaming at me to be done all at the same time, these tasks can be done without stress because I KNOW there will be a selected time to do each one of them. And that is the difference between overwhelm and peace.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The price is a little steep. But I still pay because I need it. OH! The main thing right up front was the very very short trial period. I literally binged on learning it doing nothing else, hyperfocused for the whole two weeks, and that was only barely enough time to figure out if it was going to be something I wanted to sign up for. Two weeks is ridiculously short to familiarize oneself with the program (that has a pretty steep learning curve) and THEN decide if it is going to work well (once you do finally get it working). So yeah - WAY WAY too short of a trial period. So the steep price plus the very short trial period make y'all seem a little bit greedy.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had a huge problem with overwhelm. Once I got ovewhelmed, I was so stressed I could not be productive. I literally would just freeze. But not anymore. I LOVE that it makes decisions about what to do for me. I wake up, look at what's next and get to work. That's it. Provided I did the inputting of the tasks correctly. I now have the hang of doing that too that works beautifully for me. I could not live without it. As far as the "Ease of Use" question below - it was hard, but once I learned how to use it, it was easy. I love the ultimate ease of use of putting in tasks. I have the desktop app installed so now it is just a matter of when I think of a task that needs to be done, it takes all of maybe 15 seconds to add it in.

  ### 11. Centralized Scheduling with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brieanne H. | Executive Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I like that Motion lets me see all my calendars in one place, which is crucial for managing my busy schedule. I also appreciate the ability to reprioritize tasks, as it helps me stay on point. The initial setup was pretty easy too; as a visual learner, I found the videos and tutorials really helpful.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I think the one area that doesn't work is that I don't receive any alerts for tasks or meetings. I problem solve around it using Google because Google sends me notifications. Having notifications would be lovely.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion helps me see all my meetings and tasks in one place, and the reprioritization of tasks keeps me on point.

  ### 12. nice platform, especially AI Employees

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Igar K. | Marketing Ops, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

At first, I used Motion as an AI task scheduler and project management tool, mainly to create projects for my freelance work and keep track of client deadlines. Later, when they introduced the AI Notetaker, I began using it at my workplace as well. The AI Notetaker not only transcribes calls but also provides summaries and generates action items as tasks. In September, they launched AI Employees—virtual AI assistants—which ended up saving me the first two hours of my workday by organizing my emails, responding to them, and helping me prepare for meetings by sorting through emails and meeting details. Now, these agentic workflows handle my email organization, draft responses, and send me daily meeting overviews. Overall, I find it to be a very useful tool.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

At first, I found it somewhat challenging to figure out how it works, as the available documentation from AI Employees is rather limited. Additionally, the pricing is somewhat higher compared to other competitors, but the increased turnover makes up for it, since time is money.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion primarily addresses the challenge of managing multiple tools and the time wasted trying to organize tasks and schedules. Previously, I often found myself rearranging tasks or forgetting which ones needed to be prioritized. With Motion’s AI Auto-Scheduler, this process is now automated—it selects the optimal time for each task in my calendar and keeps everything up to date if my plans change.

Another advantage is having everything centralized. My tasks, projects, meetings, and notes are all interconnected, so I no longer need to switch between different apps.

The addition of new AI Employees is also helpful for handling smaller tasks, such as drafting summaries or keeping project details current.

Overall, Motion helps me stay organized, punctual, and less stressed by managing the planning process for me.

  ### 13. Motion Simplifies Team Coordination and Scheduling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morgan D.

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I really like the ease with which I can schedule an appointment or a meeting with another person using Motion. This feature is probably my favorite part because it makes managing my own intake of 10 to 30 requests for appointments in a week so much simpler. Even before having an assistant, Motion allowed me to easily send appointment options to clients, who could book them themselves by automatically pulling from available spots on my calendar. This really cuts down on the back and forth that I have to manage, which is a huge help.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Onboarding is tough because of the integration with Google. The training on the Kanban and large project timelines isn't very helpful. I'm also having a significant difficult time setting up the new AI assistance. Setting up more complicated tasks is pretty time intensive.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motion to manage multiple calendars, coordinating scheduling with my team and clients seamlessly. It centralizes all my schedules, showing my availability clearly, and gives a good idea of team tasks for the week, cutting down back and forth on bookings.

  ### 14. Efficient Project Management with Auto-Scheduling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shawn C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I use Motion for time blocking, event tracking, and project management. It allows me to stay on task and make sure projects are being completed efficiently. I like the auto-scheduling feature because it allows me to just create tasks, specifying the project or event it is for, and auto schedules everything within a specified deadline, and within the correct workspace. The initial setup was easy.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Inability to perform bulk actions such as changing multiple tasks at once

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion helps me stay on task and complete projects efficiently. The auto-scheduling feature organizes tasks, assigning them to the correct workspace and deadline.

  ### 15. Great for Task Reorganization, Confusing UI

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I like that Motion moves tasks I haven't completed to new time slots, so they don't just sit in previous days and fail to follow me. This helps my workload get reprioritized. The initial setup was pretty easy too.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I find the interface confusing. My AI task list doesn't show which project tasks conform to if I copy a template. It's just a lot to look at and I can't always find what I need.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motion to remember tasks and prioritize my time. It helps me by moving incomplete tasks to new slots, so they don't sit undone, and my workload gets reprioritized.

  ### 16. AI Task Automation Simplifies Calendar Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor B.

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I like using Motion for automating my calendar. It's really great as an automation tool, especially the AI task automation and time blocking features. I find it helpful when I'm overwhelmed as it helps with prioritizing, staying focused, and not getting lost with lots of tasks and priorities. I'm also pleased with how things automatically move and readjust based on priorities, calendar, and deadlines. Also, it syncs with Google Calendar, which is convenient.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The initial setup of Motion is a little time intensive, but once it is set up, it is easy to use. They changed the UI on the to do list, but it is still fairly intuitive.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motion to automate my calendar, help with prioritizing when I'm overwhelmed, and stay focused without getting lost with numerous tasks.

  ### 17. Effortless Project Management, But Needs Better Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin B.

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I find Motion to be very user-friendly, which makes it easy to navigate and manage. Once I took the time to learn the system, it became quite clear and simple to use. I particularly appreciate how it allows me to organize my day efficiently. The AI functionality is impressive, as it keeps my calendar and tasks in line, contributing to my productivity. The initial setup of Motion was straightforward, with clear and simple instructions, supported by helpful tutorial videos. These resources equipped me to lead my team through training effectively, allowing them to set up and use Motion proficiently. I also like how I can use it for project management within our organization, which enhances our internal communication on specific projects and helps us stay organized with our tasks. The AI functions also support brainstorming and generating fresh ideas, while Motion helps us keep track of tasks, conversations, and deadlines, thus creating accountability.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I have encountered issues with the integrations, specifically with Google Sheets. Despite trying multiple times, the integration does not work for me, which hinders my ability to fully utilize Motion's capabilities. Additionally, when I attempt to connect, an error message appears, indicating a problem in the integration process.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion helps us organize tasks, track conversations, and brainstorm fresh ideas. It prevents repetitive discussions, aids in note-taking, and establishes deadlines and accountability. The AI keeps my calendar aligned, enhancing productivity.

  ### 18. Great Calendar Integration, Needs Better Task Blocking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** raimo g.

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I like how Motion integrates the calendar feature, providing a good overview of my free blocks by combining all calendars. It's useful that Motion suggests what to do, which makes planning more efficient. The initial setup of Motion was very easy for me.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I need to work on my setup. I’m not sure how to block specific time blocks for different tasks. I wish there was a simple guide on how to set it up. I assume the feature already exists, but I don't know how to set it up yet.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motion for planning tasks, handling multiple calendars and tasks, getting a good overview of free blocks, and receiving suggestions on what to do next.

  ### 19. Motion is the BEST

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua T. | Director of External Affairs, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

The ai meeting help! My God, its the best. Having a raw transcript, with a recording and the auto generated emails and task list! its amazing.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

There is a learning curve with motion. however you can always use the chat feature and the people will walk you through it.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As someone with ADHD, I rely on Motion for every meeting and phone call in both my personal and professional life. The auto-scheduling feature is fantastic, though it does take some time to get used to the system, which can feel a bit tedious at first. One challenge I have is viewing my calendar from a distance. However, I find the booking links to be excellent.

  ### 20. Effective for Organization, But Overwhelming for Personal Use

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristian T.

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I appreciate Motion's sleek design, which helps me keep my numerous calendars organized and all in one place. One of the standout features for me is the ability to create tasks directly from emails, which I find very helpful and time-saving. Additionally, I value the ease of initial setup with Motion; it was very straightforward, and over time, I learned how to integrate more of my data seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I find Motion to be very complicated and overwhelming, especially for a single individual user like myself. The plethora of complex features feels more suited for business use rather than personal. If there was an option to separate business from individual personal use, I believe it would be much more effective.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motion to organize my calendars in one place, making it easier to manage them. Creating tasks from emails is very helpful for my workflow.

  ### 21. Productive, Easy Task Tracking for Remote Work

  ### 22. Effortless Calendar Management with Streamlining Needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mitchell A.

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I have been using Motion for two years to efficiently organize my personal and professional calendars across different businesses. Initially, I started using Motion after seeing an Instagram ad, and have been impressed by its straightforward setup process, which went smoothly without complications. One of the standout features I love about Motion is its capability to manage multiple calendars in one day, allowing me to overlap tasks when necessary. This feature significantly enhances my ability to organize my day efficiently, without having to remember too much detail about my workflow, thereby simplifying my daily, weekly, and monthly schedules. The price point of Motion is very attractive, encouraging me to continue using the platform. Moreover, I regularly recommend Motion to others, rating it a perfect 10 out of 10. I find Motion to be a simple tool that aligns well with my needs and cognitive preferences, avoiding unnecessary complexities that could overwhelm my capacity for organization.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I find that there is a lot going on in Motion, which can be overwhelming for my brain. I would prefer a simplified or streamlined interface that focuses on what I need when I need it. The current layout feels cluttered, and understanding what I'm doing and when is not as straightforward as I'd like. There's a need for improved flow and simplified language to enhance usability.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motion to organize and manage multiple calendars, streamlining my personal and professional schedules without needing to remember details, improving my daily, weekly, and monthly planning.

That it connects to my calendar/s and helps me make the most of my time. And I can ringfence the times I want to work for different types of tasks.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The UX is clunky and it's difficult to understand how to create projects, tasks, etc, and edit them once created. It's not intuitive.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of all of my myriad tasks and allotting the appropriate time to complete them. I'm less stressed knowing that I've logged everything into Motion.

  ### 24. Efficient Task Management, But Needs UI Improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harrison G.

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I find Motion pretty easy to set up, as I just had to get the schedules correct. It makes handling my tasks much more manageable by prioritizing them in the order they need to be done. This is incredibly helpful given the high volume of tasks I have from medical school, work, and daily life. Where I once manually entered tasks into a calendar and had to redo them if not completed, Motion now allows me to rearrange tasks easily and helps avoid the tedious task of redoing everything. I appreciate the feature that automatically refers to tasks when I check something off, which is very useful for my other projects. Furthermore, I enjoy how Motion allows me to add blockers, ensuring tasks are done in the correct sequence. Its integration with Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook helps me seamlessly manage my schedules across different platforms.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I find entering data in Motion challenging because there are too many buttons on the task list, making it difficult to select and categorize under a certain project. The repetitive clicking can be quite tedious. I would prefer if this process were streamlined. Additionally, the software can be slow at times, which makes entering a large number of tasks cumbersome. Another downside is the steep pricing, which can be prohibitive for students like me in medical school, who have limited funds.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motion to prioritize tasks for work, medical school, and life, making it easier to rearrange and manage my schedule without manually updating tasks.

  ### 25. Motion Revolutionized My Productivity, But Mobile App Needs Smoother Sync

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** chadi r. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Motion has completely transformed the way I manage my time and priorities. I love how it automatically plans my tasks, meetings, and breaks in a perfectly optimized schedule. It removes the mental load of deciding what to do next and helps me focus on deep work. The interface is clean and intuitive, and the AI is remarkably accurate in adjusting to last-minute changes. It’s the first productivity tool that actually thinks for me instead of giving me more work to do.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The mobile app could also be smoother and a bit faster to sync.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion solves one of the biggest productivity challenges I face: managing competing priorities and constant context switching. Before using Motion, I was wasting hours every week trying to decide what to work on next or how to fit everything into my calendar. Now, Motion automatically creates a realistic schedule that adapts in real time to my meetings, deadlines, and interruptions. It helps me stay focused, reduce stress, and make consistent progress on what truly matters. As a result, my output and time management have both improved significantly.

  ### 26. Effective for Team Coordination, But Pricey by Lauren Caldwell

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren C.

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

{"I am very happy with the results achieved by organizing my team internationally effective across the United States, Africa, and the Middle East.","The product helps keep me on top of several projects I manage with my family and our ranch in Texas.","Motion works well for various projects that differ in completion methods.","Motion resolves the follow-up issue, allowing me to track project progress effectively.","I can easily see project progress and comment on tasks, which is incredibly helpful.","I find the Kanban view extremely helpful, along with the different work project sites.","The AI template maker is beneficial in my workflow.","Motion is very easy to use and allows inviting people from different organizations, which is valuable for collaboration.","It was not difficult to set up and seemed intuitive, with YouTube videos aiding the setup process.","I also use Google Calendar and Zoom alongside Motion, which complements my workflow effectively."}

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I find it frustrating that there's no dedicated app for the iPad, which makes using the product less convenient as I have to rely on a phone-sized display instead of utilizing the larger screen of an iPad. Additionally, the pricing is quite expensive, which affects my likelihood of recommending it more strongly to others.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motion to organize my international team and manage multiple projects. It helps with task assignment, follow-ups, and monitoring progress, which boosts our efficiency. The Kanban view and AI templates are particularly helpful.

  ### 27. Moving in Motion

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I liked how intelligently it schedules bookings during my empty time blocks, and the ability to add travel time to my meetings was also beneficial.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I didn’t like how they advertised their AI and then eventually started tokenizing it for use after the team had gotten acclimated. I also wasn’t given the option to be grandfathered into the original plan.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping me on track when it knew I was at peak productivity.

  ### 28. Started out promising. Turned into junk.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Motion?**

The calendar unification and auto-scheduling capabilities were truly revolutionary when they came out.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The product's aimless development over the last year, leading to terrible bloat. The UI is still just as janky/crusty/clunky as it was when I signed up two years ago. Instead of polishing their product, the team went to chase trends instead. Motion in 2026 is turning into a lousy low-rent ClickUp clone (despite the fact that ClickUp is cheaper.)

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion's calendar and task unification + auto-scheduling features made it easy to stay on top of my businesses, non-profit commitments, and personal life. However, there are now many other tools that do the same thing while far exceeding Motion in other areas such as AI and project management.

  ### 29. Centralized Calendar Management Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lindsey E.

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I like that all of my calendars are in one place with Motion. It makes managing my 11 calendars simpler, and I can send calendar invites with my Zoom link from one place.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I'm still trying to get used to the templates in the workspaces. I just need simple solutions. The full templates are great, but not necessary for me at this time.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion helps me manage and organize 11 calendars in one place, and I can easily send invites with my Zoom link, keeping track of everything simpler.

  ### 30. Brilliant Automated Scheduling, But Task Locking Can Be Limiting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Myka H. | Owner/CEO Teen Forward, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

The task automated scheduling is my favorite followed by the ability to forward emals that involve dates/events/tasks. Brilliant.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I don't like that when the automation shifts a task to a different time that has been automated it will lock it in place. Sometimes I don't care where something is, I just don't want it at that one particular time.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My brain is a mess and Motion helps keep my tasks and appointments managed and prioritized.

  ### 31. All-in-One Organization with Seamless Task Management

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me manage my time better

  ### 32. Game-Changing Auto Scheduling for Freelancers, but Pricey and Needs Better Notion Sync

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

The auto scheduling is a game changer. If you’re a freelancer balancing multiple projects this is for you. Sometimes when I’m super busy I struggle knowing what I need to be working on in that moment, and motion manages my projects so know I don’t need to wonder I can just get stuff done!

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

It’s pretty expensive, compared to other platform motion is premium. I also wish there was a more natural sync to Notion. That’s where I track everything for my business so that would be cool.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Knowing what task u need to be working on at the current moment.

  ### 33. Great AI Task Organization, Minor Improvements Expected

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Its hard to say what i like about motion since i like it alot. I'd like to try the ai assistants but not in my budget as of now.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The built-in AI system is very useful, as it can track tasks, assign people to monitor progress, and assist with any additional problems that may arise.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Some icons are too small. It's hard to navigate the sidebar.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion has been instrumental in helping me schedule appointments with various community members. In addition, its task tracking features make it easier for me to stay organized and complete my tasks on time.

  ### 41. Still trialing but good so far!

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ravi R. | Mix Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I'm a freelance audio engineer and was seeking a software to help me manage my daily tasks. My goal was straightforward: I want something that I can dump my tasks into (assigning them a deadline and priority), and in turn will provide me with a list of tasks I should complete every day in order such that I can fulfill all my obligations in time. To that end, Motion works great! As with most productivity softwares it takes some time to set up, but once you get it to a good place it works. Customer Support is done REALLY well. There's a chat bot in the corner of the page, and I received personal emails from the Motion team following up on my questions without being prompted.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The toughest challenge is adaptability. Motion is aware of this, but schedules and plans change ALL the time. For example, I take advantage of the 'schedules' feature, specifically in that I have a "Business Hours" schedule, a schedule for my "9-5", and a schedule for personal time. The fact of the matter is is that as a freelancer, those times windows aren't fixed. I may expect to have 5-10p each evening for Business Hours, but then get called into my 9-5 the day of. Of course Motion allows you to edit the schedule windows, but I think it would be good to pull that out of a rather buried menu. I appreciate that the AI instantly rearranges my day based on the new schedule. Separately, the UI is a bit complex. I think some streamlining can be done to make it nicer and more simple to look at.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion is helping me plan out my tasks for each day such that I fulfill my obligations on time

  ### 42. Never forget a task again!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick G. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I use motion for personal task management both in work and in my personal life. If I ever need to remember to do something, I can jot it down really quick with a due date and priority and know that I don't have to remember it - Motion will handle the scheduling for me.

I use it for planning my work day in the morning and for remembering personal chores, errands, and tasks, such as bills, etc.

I never get caught in a position where I don't know what I could be working on. Motion always has all my tasks prioritized.

The setup was also incredibly easy. It connected seamlessly with both my work and personal calendars.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Motion is maybe a little over-built for what I use it for.

Since I only use it for myself, the team scheduling and project organization is more than I really need.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am notoriously bad at time management and prioritization.

Before Motion, there were lots of times when I would not get work done because I wouldn't know/remember what to do next.

Motion solves all of this by taking the guesswork out of planning. I can just focus on being productive.

  ### 43. Easiest way to manage your schedule

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander W. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I love the AI time fill ins. If I need to cancel a meeting or have some spare time it fills my space with what project/task needs to get done. It is reletively easy to implement to your team and have everyone on and connect your calendars. We use it on a day to day basis and even contacting support to have an issue fixed with switching from the team plan to indivudal they handled it with no issues or trouble. Would recommend.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The only couple downsides is having everything set up accordingly in projects and templates for reason use. Automating tasks and steps are simple but doesn't go in as complex as I'd like in terms of writing varibeles for names or automatically starting projects apart of the company rather then a private personal level.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Filling time slots with important projects, and having a centeralized area for all my calendars to keep me set on a day-to-day basis/

  ### 44. Shady pricing and no downgrade refunds.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aris V. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Great integration between Kanban task planning and Automatic Calendar management. However this combination is useful for a small minority of our tech team. For most this became a very expensive Kanban tool.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Our team didn't find Motion useful. Only 1 of 6 members (me) liked using a Kanban or task list combined with calendar and deadline management. Team voted to switch.

Also pricing is a bit of a dark pattern. It's not advertised anywhere but if you move from 5 to 6 team members you need to double your spend from $720 to $1440!

Apropos none of it is refundable. Not even downgrades. If you try the tool and then add more members and they don't like it, you need to pay a year subcription for them.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Motion to manage task planning and time better. Few team members care about the time management features however. Most use it as a Kanban tool.

  ### 45. Real Estate business must-have!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah D. | Real Estate Agent, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Creating a reusable template for a buyer transaction and listing transaction was a GIANT timesaver for each new deal. Instead of going off manual checklists and dates written down or manually put into my calendar, the system now does it for me! I never miss a step and have important dates and tasks automatically scheduled based on the timeline I input. It's like magic.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The inability to merge with the showingtime calendar so that my showing appointments that I am attending could auto-populate into my calendar without me having to block the time manually.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a real estate agent, transactions can be complicated and have many moving parts. Creating templates allowed me to never miss a step in a transaction or forget about a deadline.

  ### 46. My personal assistant that's smarter than me!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I love the fact that Motion takes the thinking out of my day! It's my daily companion. With so many details to consider, and tasks to accomplish, it's a big time-saver to have a tool tell me when to do what! I so appreciate that I don't have to take the time to plan my day, I can just execute on what Motion tells me to do. And with the right data input into Motion, I am also at ease and confident that I am doing what I need to be doing every moment of the day, so I can accomplish the bigger goals I seek.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

There is a bit of a learning curve on Motion. I am really committed to making this work, because I need it to...but for others who may not be, the learning curve may be a bit of a derailer. I watched videos, read help pages etc. I almost wish there was a way to use ai to determine my need, and present the specific steps to solve it. All-in-all, though, I think it's a great tool...and besides the price point which is a bit high, I think this is gonna be my constant companion.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have so many projects, tasks and deadlines, that often overlap. I don't have the correct level of visibility to understand the conflicts. Taking the time to understand them means, not executing. Executing without this understanding means, misalignment of recourses. Motion gives me the visibility into what I need to focus on when I need to focus on it.

  ### 47. Cautiously Optimistic

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cathy S. | Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

After a few weeks of watching the ads come across my Insta, I figured I would give it a shot. It's been a game changer in that I don't have to think about what to do next. Plug in all the ingredients and I get a fully baked schedule. I'm still learning the ins and outs, but so far, so good.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I wish it had an easy way to say "I always want to do X first thing" or "Please don't schedule Y on days I have Z"

It also would be helpful if it integrated with a map app so the travel time feature worked consistently.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding time and scheduling alll the things.

  ### 48. Motion Makes Time Boxing Actually Work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Devon H. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Motion solves the biggest issue I had with time boxing, which was frequently something would come up which would prevent me from working or completing the task I had blocked off time to do. Motion automaticaly re-arranges my schedule when I don't complete tasks, based on priority, due dates, estimated duration, etc... I'm still not perfect, but I do feel like Motion has noticably improved my productivity and rate of execution.

Motion's API is also pretty solid, and I have written a couple custom integrations to optimize my workflow.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Motion lacks a few features which would really make it fit my needs beter. A key one is the ability to block off time in my work calendar, to prevent meetings from getting scheduled during that time, but allow Motion to schedule tasks in that time block. Basically I want to say "Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from noon-5 PM will be my focused work times, block my calendar so I don't get meeting invites, but fill that time in with the Motion magic tasks".

The API also lacks a few of their newer features like Agendas.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increasing my productivity by organizing my tasks based on priority, due date, and estimated duration, and my realtime calendar.

  ### 49. Best task management software - bar none.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robby F. | Author, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

First task management software I've ever used that actually takes care of task management for you. All the other tools expect you to actively manage everything, but this one actually does it for you. Once you work with Motion, you can remove time management from your daily activities. I use it daily, and it's been easy and quick to get started. Customer support is also fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

It would be nice if I could share my Motion tasks with people outside of my team. At the moment, it only works for internal team tasks.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auto-scheduling tasks into my calendar so I never have to worry about what gets done when.

  ### 50. Great task organization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler R. | District Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

The ability to clearly see my tasks organized in a easy to read way. There is so many ways to customize your tasks, keep track of progression, and allow yourself more time to either tackle more work projects or more time to yourself.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The only thing I would like to change is the ability to organize scheduled tasks under a project.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me keep track of my to do list instead of old school pen and paper. I am able to keep track of all tasks.
