## About Motion
What is Motion? Motion is an AI-powered productivity and scheduling platform that combines task management, calendar automation, and project organization in a single intelligent workspace. It helps individuals and teams automatically plan their workdays, balance priorities, and manage tasks, projects, and meetings with precision. By integrating artificial intelligence into everyday planning, Motion reduces manual scheduling effort and helps users focus on meaningful work instead of time management. Motion belongs to the category of agentic productivity and workflow automation software. It is used by professionals, teams, and organizations that require structured yet adaptive work systems — including project managers, customer support teams, product leads, and executives. The platform dynamically builds and adjusts each user’s daily schedule based on deadlines, task urgency, and meeting times, using real-time AI reasoning to ensure productivity and balance. At its core, Motion’s AI engine automatically creates, prioritizes, and reschedules tasks across personal and shared calendars. When new meetings or urgent projects appear, Motion recalculates the optimal plan in seconds. It synchronizes with Google Calendar and Outlook to provide a unified overview of both individual and team commitments, ensuring that no time is lost to conflicts or overbooking. A key innovation within Motion is its ecosystem of AI Employees — autonomous digital assistants trained to perform specialized functions. Each AI Employee operates through AI Skills, such as writing, scheduling, or client response management. These virtual team members collaborate with human users to automate workflows, track deliverables, and generate structured outputs directly within Motion’s workspace. Motion also features AI Chat, a conversational interface that connects all data within the platform. Users can ask natural-language questions like “What tasks are overdue?” or “Summarize my last meeting,” and receive instant, context-aware answers drawn from Motion’s tasks, AI Docs, and AI Notetaker summaries. This capability bridges the gap between structured project data and intuitive AI interaction, making Motion an agentic system that not only manages but understands work. Key features include: • AI task and schedule automation – builds optimized daily plans. • Project and team coordination tools – assign, track, and visualize work progress. • AI Employees and Skills – delegate repeatable or creative work to autonomous AI units. • AI Chat and AI Notetaker – conversational access to notes, summaries, and actions. • Cross-platform integration – accessible via web and mobile for hybrid teams. By combining automation, intelligence, and collaboration, Motion represents the evolution of productivity — an AI-native platform built for teams that want to work smarter, faster, and more efficiently.

## Motion Reviews
  ### 1. Amazing. This is what I have dreamed about

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James G. | Senior Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I just dont have to worry if I am doing the right thing at the righ ttime anymore. Set and forget and get on with your life. It provides real freedom

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

ONly features that I think it could benefit from which I sure you are workign on - like being able to set a day as a particular context (ie in office) and it only shows taks from that context or workspace.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping me to get the right things done at the right time and this helps free up time and anxiety for me as I know the algorithm has handled all the fear

  ### 2. STAY AWAY- fraudulent charging, no responses from customer service

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carolyn H. | Next Generation Advisory Board Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Nothing. I have been unable to use the platform and they will not engage me about an inaccurate charge that they made after I had appropriately cancelled my free trial.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I signed up for a free trial of Motion on Monday, 8/5/24, excited about potentially using the platform for my leadership team. However, after reviewing its features, I canceled the trial on Thursday, 8/8/24, when my IT team denied my request to integrate Motion with Microsoft Teams. Without this integration, the platform would not meet our needs. After canceling, I received a cancellation confirmation screen, though no email was sent to document this.

Despite my cancellation, on Monday, 8/12/24, I was charged $784.80 for a one-year subscription, including five enterprise licenses. I immediately contacted Motion’s customer support team about the error and followed up two additional times. However, I have yet to receive any response or acknowledgment of my messages.

I warned Motion in writing on 8/13/24 that I would be disputing the charge if they did not resolve the situation. Yet, I have still not heard back from anyone at the company. To make matters worse, when I log back into Motion, I am unable to manage or cancel the subscription—my account reflects that I am only a user with no admin rights and no access to make any changes.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of response from Motion. The combination of this unauthorized charge, the inability to manage the account, and the total silence from their customer service team is alarming. I cannot recommend Motion based on this experience, and I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this platform.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing

  ### 3. Game-changing productivity app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I love using Motion because it automatically schedules my tasks around my existing meetings. It's so easy to connect multiple calendars and have Motion do the heavy lifting to figure out when I have time for my tasks. I also love their new project workflow templates and the ability to create a project workflow with AI. This app has seriously saved me so much time and the annoying effort of manually rearranging my tasks throughout the day and week.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

It can take a little bit of time to import all your tasks and set up projects in Motion to get the full benefit of the auto-scheduler.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion helps me prioritize the most important and time-sensitive work, and eliminates the guesswork of "what should I work on now?"

  ### 4. Best AI tool I use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew M. | Preacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Motion helps me to keep all of the tasks I have at hand on my calendar. I'm not always able to get to everything but Motion will reschedule it for me. I'm also able to look at my calendar to see if there is just one more thing I can do in a day instead of mindlessly trying to figure out what to do or quitting early.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I don't have any real dislikes. It might be nice if it were a bit cheaper.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is increasing my productivity.

  ### 5. Continually updating and expanding, Motion is my Go-To for keeping on top of tasks and projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Performing Arts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I use Motion daily, both at work at at home.

I love the fact that the developers are constantly upgrading or creating new ways of project and task management so that the program can be used on a personal level, or on a professional setting.

The tutorials as new features come in are a great help and easy to find again when I want them as a reference.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I would love integration into my smartwatch or a way to switch between personal tasks and work tasks/projects.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have ADHD and such, i joke that my memory is shorter than I am. Having Motion helps me keep on top of project deadlines, tasks, and other things I need to do daily and on the job.

  ### 6. Motion Feedback

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Prioritizing, automation and the team use for projects which helps with our turnaround times..

Integrating our process with Motion has been super easy when compared to other programs we've tested and given up on. It is now used on a daily basis across our whole sales team.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

nothing really, but perhaps it would be ideal if you could send out meeting invites from Motion.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our turnaround times. All our reps know exactly where all there projects are in the design and quoting stage and can give the customers more accurate timelines for when they will receive information form us. Provides data we never had before Motion that is helpful for the whole team.

Also helps with time management.

  ### 7. I like Motion for the most part.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Slade R. | Quant Researcher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

It is good. When I do use it dilligently, it helps me plan tasks and stay ahead of schedule.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Sometimes I find it lacks certain features such as thorough integration with my Calender. Also, if/when I do not actively follow it and mark tasks as complete when they are finished, it's usefullness is rendered null.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me to organize my day and plan effectively, and to stay on top of my most important tasks.

  ### 8. a nice combination of task and calendar management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I love that I can put in all my tasks and rank them. The more detail you give, the better the app does at prioritizing your tasks. As a digital advertising consultant with many clients, I have found so far that it really is helping me to stay organized and avoid forgetting important to dos.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Sometimes the app is too quick to move tasks around or if you want to put a task at a permanent time every day - suddenly it will jump back to moving that task to when it fits in your calendar.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping me organized and helping me to stay on the highest priority tasks.

  ### 9. The solution to “erase and replace”

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angie P. | Realtor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

If I don't complete a task, the task doesn't go away, but it gets re-prioritized on my calendar.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Nothing so far! I really appreciate how much more productive I'm becoming with Motion.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a realtor, my days often change frequently. Motion allows me flexibility but not escape the items on my calendar that need to get done, even if I don't get to it right away.

  ### 10. Great for keeping you on track!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Micah K. | Director of People and Culture, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Motion keeps my tasks in front of me and helps arrange them around my schedule according to priority and projected time length. Really helpful for anyone who deals with lots of tasks and needs assistance with deciding what to do next!

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

My biggest complaint at the moment is that it constantly switches to the week view in the calendar instead of the daily view whenever the program refreshes, which is highly annoying. It's a known issue and they're promising to fix it, so we'll see.

Other than that, there's a bit of a learning curve to make it really effective and set it up, but there are some good videos to help with that, if you take the time to watch them.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a busy professional with lots of different tasks in different areas of my department. I was having difficulty balancing between putting out fires and staying focused on the important tasks that need to keep moving forward. That's where Motion comes in!

  ### 11. Learning as we go.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fred P. | CFO and Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

A tool that is open to growth in automation that is transitioning business from traditional to modern.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Limited use of AI advancements while the growth of AI continues.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling of tasks, projects, and team communication.

  ### 12. Keeps me perfectly on track

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I like how it allows you to schedule tasks in 10 minute intervals. This has really helped me find more time in the day, because I can now see that I actually DO have time to do more things. Instead of looking at my to-do list and trying to figure out what to do next, Motion has already planned my day! And, I feel so productive when I can check things as complete!

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

No real downsides, but I have not yet figured out the projects feature.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me use my time more efficiently and making sure everything gets done.

  ### 13. The sole planner that is effective for me.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam M. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

The system automatically organizes tasks and modifies them upon completion.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The process of adding tasks to projects can sometimes be awkward or inefficient.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am unable to translate imperative verbs, so I cannot provide a translation for this text.

  ### 14. Some potential but far from it - bad sales practices

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Automation of calendar
Project mode
Yet another calendar

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Another app to manage
Complex interface and counter intuitive automations
In the end, feels like we don’t know how AI will be working
Short trial mode
Complex setting and high price

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing calendar

  ### 15. Ease of Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ammar L. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Great app for any type of person from industry expert to student.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The interface for the project section is a little tricky to understand in the beginning.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is making scheduling and keeping up with tasks very easy to do

  ### 16. Absolutely amazing and everything I’ve been looking for!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

The automated scheduling and deadline notifications!

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I don't have anything that I dislike about Motion.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping me organize the multiple lanes in which I work. Everything is in one place and I can see everything simultaneously.

  ### 17. Game Changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Motion?**

The AI automatic rescheduling has been great.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Could use more descriptions on how to use the Project Flow Module.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making sure I get the tasks done and not dropped.

  ### 18. An up and coming time management app with abysmal customer suuport

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jayath A. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Motion?**

The auto-scheduling feature is pretty decent

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

the billing and customer support is below par. If you have any issues related to the same, you are better off cancelling your subscription

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N/A

  ### 19. LOOKED COOL, TURNED OUT TO BE A COMPLETE RIP OFF!!!

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isaac S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Motion?**

The idea of uncompleted tasks being rescheduled based on parameters. The scheduling portion that works like Calendly.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The AI features seem cool at the beginning but are not that useful as it just randomly shuffles the tasks without clear discernment. Yes you can setup prority and have time slots but it doesn't work well in reality.
THE COMPANY IS A RIP OFF, THEY CHARGED ME FOR THE YEAR WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION AND NOT PROVIDING A REFUND.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has not been useful

  ### 20. Truly awesome

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dolphin G. | Co-Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Motion?**

It has been the most helpful - and I'm not exaggerating - thing that ever happened to me in my creative career regarding project management and work-life balance.

It has balanced and planed my days and weeks so perfectly that it is truly unbelievable.

It makes freelancing what it is supposed to be, but sometimes it Was not: FREE.
Free from the stress of handling multiple projects, deadlines, and client requests simultaneously.
Free from being 'trapped' in only focusing on the work side when you have a hard situation with tight deadlines.
Free in a way that whenever you need some change to your day, Motion will sort it out for you.

So, I truly believe this is the future of project management for freelancers.
This flexible, learning, interactive always live, always optimizing thing handles everything for me like an assistant but 0-24.

And yes, I agree, it Is expensive. But hear me out: regarding how much it helped me and that nowadays, even the dumbest basic apps switched to something like a 3-4$ / month subscription...it is fine...

I use it every day, constantly.
It was easy to set up.
Also customer support was fast to respond.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Bulk actions and bulk deleting. That's it. :)

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Giving me ultimate my work-life balance.

  ### 21. Misleading trial experience, big disappointment

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Motion?**

The idea is brilliant - being able to create tasks and have them automatically sorted into existing time in my schedule could be a game changer.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

After a good experience in my first few months, things changed. The layout and visual presentation changed and there is no way for the user to change it back or alter it in any way, other than light or dark mode. The book calendar which I thought was amazing... well, it stopped working. The links generated to the booking calendar populated a page that said I had NO availability. As I was dealing with that, my task list in the sidebar changed from listing ONLY tasks to including ALL of my daily meetings. It was impossible to find tasks. One of the (previous) advantages of Motion was being able to shift the assigned time to work on a task if priorities changed. Technically, you can still do that... IF you can find the task.

The worst part was trying to reach support. First I got sent to an AI model which provided incorrect information. Next, I went into "live" chat which identified itself after the fact as a bot (which also did not provide accurate or helpful information. Finally, I was able to send a message to support. However, over 24 hours later, no one has even looked at my message.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion is NOT solving any problems. The concept is amazing, but the poor implementation has CREATED problems, such as booking links populating pages that indicate I have no availability to meet, ever, on any calendar day.

  ### 22. Not able to download and still being charged

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** win k. | Senior Risk Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I could not find anything because I couldn't use it.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The security of Motion or my company security did not allow for me to download this software. There is no live person to help you when you run into these issues.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have meetings scheduled throughout the day and with the ever changing environments, I was hoping to use this tool to become more efficient. However, it did NOT work like I hoped.

  ### 23. Find Time for a Workaholic

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vanessa G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I love how Motion re-arranges my schedule automatically when something unexpected comes up and I cannot work on the task that was planned. I also love how it keeps my goals on track and my projects moving along. I work ~375 hours a month between two businesses I own and 3 volunteer organizations I am a part of. Keeping up with work, volunteer, and personal life tasks has become a challenge and I have been consistently dropping the ball. I have found that with Motion, I am dropping that ball less and staying much more focused on what needs to be done, rather than TRYING TO FIGURE OUT what needs to be done. I had been using ClickUp (free version) and Calendly (paid version) and so Motion was a tad bit more expensive than Calendly. However, for the amount of time I have already saved in only a couple of weeks of using Motion, it has already paid for itself for this annual plan.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

There are a few things in Motion that I wish it had. For instance, we are limited to certain Frequencies and Durations rather than it being 100% flexible. Recurring Tasks cannot by assigned to a Project. It would also be great to Duplicate tasks rather than creating from scratch. Organizing Workspaces alphabetically or by manual reordering would also be great. Zapier from my Google Mail to Motion does not work (I contacted Zapier to request this) but it would help me a ton if I could turn all of my incoming emails into a Motion Task so that I don't have to input them manually. Perhaps they could go to a Sorting area so I can assign a Workspace, Project, Priority, Deadline, Recurrence, etc. Workspace-wide templates would also be great so I don't have to recreate the same template in each of my workspaces.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having enough time to get everything done has been a struggle. I am able to track everything I need to do and see what had the highest priority to do next. I feel like I am much more productive than I was before.

  ### 24. Reminds me of what's important

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin O. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

The auto-scheduling is my favorite feature. After I carefully tend my tasks, I go to my calendar to see what I should do next, and Motion tells me. Not much thought is required on what to do to achieve my large and small goals together. Requires less thought to get more done.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

It's pricey. Even with the annual subscription, which I have, I feel that the cost is high compared to its competitors who don't have the auto-scheduling feature.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion is helping me solve the problem of when to do the tasks in my to-do list. Lots of project management tools can help me catpure what to do, but this is the only one that suggests when I should do them. With the way that Motion connects to my work calendar, I can see if I have too many tasks this week, or if I actually have spare time at the end of the week if I work hard enough. Helping me understand if I have not-enough-time or a little extra time is a valuable insight.

  ### 25. Pretty much non-existent customer service and underwhelming app

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Syncs with Google Calendar and provides basic project management.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Generally pretty underwhelming as far as "productivity" benefits go and very very pricey for what it is. They just have really good marketing. The worst part I would say is the pretty much non-existent customer service, so if you have any problems (even with billing) good luck getting a hold of anyone. I had a billing issue and no one got back to me.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion aims to help you stay more productive. Truthfully, it's hard to do that with just calendar optimization. So, if you were wondering, yes, their marketing is just really good. But the app itself just doesn't deliver on those promises.

  ### 26. Good fundamental idea, terrible execution, product actually gets worse over time

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

The fundamental ideas about Motion are good. When it works, it feels great. Specifically, being able to toss all my tasks & priorities into a bucket, and have a planned list for accomplishing them in a sane order, is a great feeling. The booking links are convenient as well, and the team features have potential.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The product has been highly buggy for years. They removed functionality - e.g. it used to be fast to navigate around the calendar with keyboard shortcuts - removed for some reason with no replacement. It's very expensive for what it is, support is slow to respond and is unhelpful, and it feels like the product barely improves over time.

In addition, extremely basic features have been missing for ages - e.g. multi selecting todos for bulk actions. Want to add 10 tasks to a project? Open each one individually, hit the dropdown, hit the project - 10 times. Delete 10 tasks? Same thing. This is table stakes for a todo app, let alone a team todo app.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Was helping with calendar management and personal task & project management. I'm still using it as my calendar for the moment, but am actively looking for alternatives.

  ### 27. I would be happy to recommend Motion to a friend or colleague.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

What I appreciate most about Motion is the combination of its user-friendly interface and its extensive feature set. This software truly streamlines my daily tasks and significantly enhances my overall workflow.

The user-friendly interface provides an intuitive and straightforward experience. Navigating through the calendar, scheduling events, and managing appointments has never been easier. Motion's thoughtful design and layout make it a breeze to access the information I need promptly, reducing any unnecessary time spent on administrative tasks.

Moreover, Motion's robust feature set is a game-changer for me. It offers a wide range of tools that cater to various aspects of my calendar management. From scheduling recurring meetings to color-coding events for better organization, Motion covers all the bases. The ability to attach files, set reminders, and share calendars seamlessly with colleagues adds an extra layer of functionality that I find invaluable.

In sum, Motion not only simplifies my work but also adds an element of enjoyment to my daily routine. Its user-friendly design and comprehensive features have transformed the way I manage my schedule, making it an essential tool for my professional life.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

When it comes to Motion Calendar, what I find less favorable is the limited customization options for event reminders. It would be great to have more flexibility in setting up reminders according to my specific needs.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion goes above and beyond in transforming my daily routine by making it significantly more productive and proactive, ultimately leading to enhanced efficiency and effectiveness in managing my schedule and tasks.

  ### 28. Motion - The App That Helps Me Manage My ADHD

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Motion?**

As Someone with ADHD who struggles to stay focused and organized found great joy in discovering the Motion app. This invaluable tool has become a lifeline, allowing me to effectively manage projects, priorities, and schedules while accommodating my ADHD brain.

The application empowers myself to effortlessly create projects and divide them into manageable tasks. These tasks can be conveniently scheduled on my calendars, along with the added functionality of setting reminders, deadlines, and notifications for better project management. Moreover, Motion also offers valuable features like task duration estimation and the capability to allocate dedicated time for focusing on significant projects.

I have seen a huge improvement in my productivity since using Motion. I don’t feel scattered trying to juggle multiple tasks. The structure and organization that Motion provides helps me focus my energy on getting things done rather than trying to remember to do them.

I would recommend Motion to others who struggle with ADHD symptoms like procrastination, forgetfulness and disorganization. It has been a complete game changer in managing my daily tasks.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

One of Motion’s main drawbacks is that I can’t see all my projects and tasks in one master calendar or timeline. I can only see the actions at the individual county level. There’s no bird’s-eye view where I can visualize my workflow across multiple projects to identify conflicts, bandwidth issues, or limited resources.

I can’t check all of my workload or upcoming commitments. There is no reporting tool to summarize the deadlines or hours required for jobs in different boards.

While the app is still imperfect, it promises to see developers get back to work quickly. Regular updates show a commitment to grow Motion and make it more useful over time.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 29. Changed my life

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlotte R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Motion actually helps me be reasonable with my time. Before Motion, I was just go-go-go. Now, I realise how much I am putting on my plate, and how unreasonable I'm being. Motion helps be prioritise my tasks and keep me on track. I use it everyday, open in a screen next to my working screen to keep me focused.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Sometimes, I with there was some more flexibility in the layout, but this is minor.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me manage the overwhelm, create daily plans that actually make sense, and help me prioritise and manage tasks.

  ### 30. Good, room for improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren N. | Senior Manager Customer Solutions, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

It helps me understand my time better and assists in prioritization. I like the warning feature that lets me know if something won't meet a target deadline so I can rearrange or let others know we need to push a deadline.

The project feature is great, along with the ability to trigger tasks based on the completion of others. I would love it if that could be integrated with recurring tasks as well

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Motion doesn't hold completed tasks on the calendar, so I can't go back and see how I spent my time after the fact. If I don't keep it updated, it obviously can't prioritize correctly, but updating becomes a task unto itself.

It took some time to get clear on how Motion prioritizes tasks- sometimes I disagree with the assessment, so to get my calendar to match my priorities, I have to tinker with the settings on my tasks until they fit my desired priority ranking

The app is the biggest obstacle- it takes a long time to sync, and calendars frequently drop from it entirely, so I don't have visibility to my meetings when I'm trying to make plans away from my desktop. It also only keeps info updated for two weeks, and I need visibility well beyond a 2-week timeframe at my fingertips.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Task planning- it takes the planning out of when something will be accomplished, and I know it will make sure all my tasks take place before their deadline, taking stress of my shoulders to order things properly.

  ### 31. Motion has been my best friend in overcoming executive dysfunction.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kate b. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I struggle greatly with procrastination and starting tasks and Motion has been instrumental in my academic and professional successes. Motion has taken the stress away from planning my daily workflow and it has helped me avoid many instances of execution paralysis.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I wish I could make tasks under a project recurring.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I no longer have to manually budget my time, which is an issue area of mine. This has helped me enjoy my free time more, knowing that I will be able to get everything done on time.

  ### 32. Great desktop app, but there is much room for improvement for the mobile app.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

They automatically help you to reschedule your tasks if you don't complete them. This is very useful if you aren't good at estimating how long it takes to complete your tasks or if you easily get distracted by other events

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The desktop app can be buggy at times and is not as fast as I would like it to be. Hence, there are I am too lazy to organise my tasks and i end up not using motion for a week or so. The unusable mobile app also makes me use Motion less

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion helps to automatically reschedule tasks that I dont complete and helps to find a time for everything. To be honest, what it really helps me with is to assure me that I can get my stuff done at the start of the week or whenever I try to organise my stuff

  ### 33. From Crying to Coffee: How Motion Helps Me Focus

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth D. | Creative Director, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Let me start by saying, I am a huge fan of Motion! This tool has become an integral part of my daily routine, and helps me stay on top of my work and get more done with less effort.

One of my favourite features of Motion is its automation and AI capabilities. With just a few clicks, it helps me plan my day across many time zones, schedule meetings, and build a to-do list that works for me. And the best part? It's incredibly intuitive, so I don't have to waste time trying to figure out how to use it.

I love its seamless integration with Google Calendar. As someone who relies heavily on my calendar to manage my time, having everything - meetings and tasks - in one place has been a game-changer. Now, I can easily work around my meeting commitments and find time for deep, focused work on my most creative tasks.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The mobile app is not as helpful to me as the awesome desktop or web-based app. While I appreciate the convenience of being able to access my tasks and schedule on-the-go, I find that the mobile app is not as user-friendly as the other versions.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion solves the problem of coping with an often overwhelming workload and lack of deep focus by providing a comprehensive solution that intelligently plans and prioritises tasks and schedules meetings when I want them to happen. It's a game-changer.

  ### 34. Great tool to help my tornado brain

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony L. | Post-production supervisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I loved starting to use Motion. It took me 1-2 hours to gather all my to-do lists and Google Tasks, organise them and input them. After that, I could already feel the pressure of doing work off me shoulders. I stopped thinking "Should I prioritize this task or that one??" It gave me a lot of anxiety to consantly re-asking myself the same questions...

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I think I'd like to be able to input task in High-Medium-Low priority WITHOUT having to also input a deadline. A lot of my tasks don't have deadlines but still have a priority order. I tried giving them deadlines 6 month from now but my OCD really didn't like to have "false" deadline. I'd love to be able to give priority order without deadlines.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me organise my days without having to go through all my to-do lists everyday. It gave me confidence that I'm constantly working on what I should be doing at the moment. A lot of stress off my shoulders.

  ### 35. I recommend Motion at every step I get the chance. I has changed my life.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Denes C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I was one of the earliest adopters of Motion and has been using it ever since. The complete market hole this tool plugs is great. I have tried everything, from MS ToDo to Asana. None offer the automatic task scheduling intertwined with calendar.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I like everything. A killer feature suggestion (I've given many as an early adopter) would be to be able to seamlessly switch a calendar a meeting is attached to. I sync 20 calendars, would be a lot of help not needing to delete and recreate.

Also, when we transitioned into this project management style view - I did not like it. Simple tasks, with simple and clear buttons was much better UX. Now I get the projecting features and I use them a lot of well, but it is very cluttered.

When adding a new task with Ctrl+Space, I need to be able to select the project tag to which attach the task to!

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use both killer features: having a clean scheduling interface as well as the automatic task estimation and completion.
I even use it just as my homepage to see all my calendars and events in one place.

Android app needs to improve, become the de-facto calendar app on the phone. Now it is so bad, I just use a browser with desktop mode.
Strangely it used to be better 1-2 years ago. Just refactor form the ground up.

  ### 36. Project and time management king!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I love the easy functionality of using Motion to categorise and track my projects and tasks. I can do this using deadlines, priority and it keeps me on track by letting me know if a deadline is going to be passed. It will then automatically redorder my tasks. Takes the hard work out of project and task management.

I also love that it includes a calendar schedular similar to calendly.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I preferred their cloud-based software as opposed to the desktop app now have as it seems to be grunty and takes up a lot of memory on my slower computers (not to so slow it doesn't work, but just sluggish). Also the seperate app means its something else to open as oposed to it always being open with chrome. I wish there was an option of both.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not having to get a seperately calendar bookingf software. and tracking specific projects i need to complete. I also keep it as a dump bin for any and all task ideas I have but i just dont give them a priority.

  ### 37. Let your task list populate itself into ever changing days

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samantha Joyce B. | Founding Attorney, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Motion acts as a basic project manager in scheduling tasks based on importance and deadline around the meetings and events with fixed times.

More importantly, when something new pops up or something changes, Motion reschedules all the tasks FOR you. You don't have to spend a ton of time rejuggling everything. And more importantly, it will tell you when you have run OUT of time. Which is a great moment to reprioritise or seek out assistance or delegation.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The lack of integrations with things like project management tools and zapier, despite being heavily requested but the community, has been frustrating to work around.

The interface could be more user friendly with views of which

Possible, but it is creating some double entry which reduces the time saving benefits of Motion

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use motions appointment scheduling for internal meetings that make more sense to lump together with similar tasks and dont need as much interaction from a scheduling software. Motion is really great at that.

Then of course it acts as my task master once Ivedone all the brainstorming as to what the tasks are, along with dependencies.

  ### 38. Helping me stay focussed and get organised

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Linda A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

It automatically grabs all my to-do list items and squeezes them into the time that exists for me. It's helped me to know what's realistic and what's not because very often I'm trying to fit in more than is physically possible with my time.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

It only schedules things in for 2 weeks at a time. I feel like it could schedule my whole year, but I'd be happy if it could do 6 weeks...or just up to where my to-do list ends.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a lot of ideas, and run multiple businesses. I used to write lists that I would feel overwhelmed by or would lose. Motion helps me get my ideas moving by scheduling them in and helps me know what area I have time to focus on and when. You know when you've only got 30 mins left in a day and you're not sure what you can fit in that time? Motion tells you.

  ### 39. Very helpful, but a little crowded

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nadie L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I really enjoy the feature of setting a total time for my task and then having the AI set up my calendar schedule. It really helps me visualize how I can get all these work done before the deadline. And the auto-scheduling feature is also super helpful.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

After I put in many tasks, the entire thing starts to become less tractable. It will be nice if I can search in kanban or my list of tasks. It is often hard for me to find things. I also hope the notification banner can have a "completed" button so I don't have to go into the Motion app to toggle my task completed.
I would like to know some tricks about how to integrate Motion with other apps to help solve problems better.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion really helped me grasp how much time I have and how much time I need to spend on my tasks. I tend to over-commit myself thinking I have a lot of time. But Motion really visualizes if my goals are feasible.

  ### 40. Best Productivity App I've Used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Motion is extremely helpful with prioritizing. It naturally figures out based on timing and urgency what you should be working on. As life goes on and more things to do come up, I've found Motion really helpful with keeping my schedule organized, under control, and making me feel like I have the time to get everything I need done.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Motion also thinks you're a robot that will constantly keep doing work. All you need to do is build in some breaks in your schedule where the program won't add tasks, otherwise it makes you feel like you have to nonstop work!

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When you have a "To-Do" list, it can be overwhelming looking at it and thinking that you just want everything done RIGHT NOW. Motion helps organize the things you want to do in a controlled manner over time - helping you realistically achieve your goals. I've found Motion really helpful with organizing the chaos that is inbound requests and projects.

  ### 41. Powerful AI productivity software!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hunja K. | Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I love how seamlessly Motion connects with my different calendars and accounts. The fact that i can create a meeting from within motion, which then creates a zoom link for me and sends it to my contacts, and then moves my tasks around this newly created meeting is fantastic

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

I think that with all the additions to the app, it is now in a place where it is so fully featured that it might be overwhleming for a new user. Having gotten in on the "ground floor" of the app development when it was pretty basic, i have been able to keep up with the updates to it and it is not as overwhelming for me at the moment, but i feel like new users might not have the same experience.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love that i do not have to go back and forth with a client when trying to schedule a meeting. I can send them a link to my calendar, and they can pick a time that suits them and get a zoom link automatically created for that

  ### 42. Great for ADHD Tasks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Instead of just taking written "tasks" and manually moving them to the next day, Motion automatically takes my task list and prioritizes them based on by availability, so I really appreciate being able to do that without having to worry about it

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

A few more features would be better, such as searching tasks, being able to update calendar events, and adding some people to events. Not major issues - just ideas.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Task scheduling organization, and online scheduling is helpful

  ### 43. Revolutionized my tax practice

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keith K. | Tax Advisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Motion has finally kept me from missing deadlines internally! As a tax manager responsible for over 300 filings, I was able to keep on track during tax season, and easily work with partners to show them my weekly workload.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The one feature I would like to see implemented is bulk adding of tasks - if I have a spreadsheet of clients, tasks and due dates, I would love to be able to import from that instead of a manual input.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I put all of my todos in Motion, and once I see that I'm "overscheduled" and can't get everything done, I can begin to make decisions - do I need to put a few extra hours in this week? What tasks can I offload to colleagues? Are any of my deadlines adjustable? I can change right in the calendar and see the results almost instantly.

  ### 44. charged twice, shady customer support

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

The AI auto scheduler is good, it comes with google calendar sync and eliminates mental fatigue on decision making process and you dont wonder what to do next, if you need a system or hierarchy for this, its great

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Charged twice by usemotion, they assured me they'd refund me, and it's been almost a month with nothing received on my end, their customer support ignores it and connects you to a chat bot.

Even the trial of seven days has a shady system going on, after expiring, you're charged a full year by default with no option to access a monthly subscription unless you contact them directly, which again you're gonna be put on hold on a chat bot, until they decide if they wanna get back to you or not by a real person on the customer support.

Ultimately what really did it is that they now auto archive tasks and dont let you keep an active backlog, just another feature that implies they are smarter than everyone else about what you need yourself, instead of allowing you the free will to decide yourself for you
I've tried cancelling my subscription and get back a refund for the one that was double charged but of course, usemotion team sees no urgency on this. I wonder if there's even a customer support at all. Not a good look for a startup with lots of bells and whistles about revolutionizing the way one person works by speeding up your workflow while simultaneously being a drag on your life's finance and logistics. I'd give less than a one star but this site won't allow that.

Usemotion changed the terms on archiving your tasks without your consent, charged twice for a full year, they change the rules and the system you bought mid subscription but are skeptical of refunding or cancelling your plan as byproduct.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deciding what tasks to do next, prioritize work, schedule appointments.

  ### 45. A game-changer for productivity and mental health

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ed R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

When you have a to-do list that never shrinks, it can be overwhelming. Motion is the only answer I've found to help with that. It schedules all of your tasks for you, and if you don't complete a task, it just schedules it for another time. You can recurring tasks and order tasks by priority.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

Some features I'd like to see in Motion are the ability to adjust the priority of items so that if two things are both due soon and high priority, you can pick which one Motion should prioritize. Also, the mobile app is nearly unusable. I'd like for it to be on par with the website itself.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The overwhelming nature of having endless to-do lists. The need to take care of the most important things, even if they're not particularly urgent. The ability to meet deadlines.

  ### 46. It really is a lifechanger

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon R. | Digital Revenue Operations Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

The best thing about it is how it takes stress from planning long-term projects.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

When you set up templates or projects with many tasks, there's no way to click on the next one to move on to edit or edit a couple in a bundle.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Personally, it takes away the weight of having to decide what to do or what to start with when it comes to long-term projects.

  ### 47. My Virtual Assistant allowing me to relax

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon S. | Chair, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Motion combines meeting scheduling with a good reminder system for tasks that are otherwise forgotten forever

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

It rapidly loses its value if you as a user are not actively following the planned schedule and instead do things in accordance to your whim. But it can still provide value even in this case as Motion will remind you

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to be a bit more personal and send meeting booking links with different layers of priority baked into the booking itself. The biggest thing is that it allows me to add tasks with one simple keyboard command in a way that autoschedules it and makes sure that it keeps reappearing in my calendar until it is done.

I also like how they keep on improving and small things like being able to add multiple time zones.

  ### 48. Keeping my ADHD brain organized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca T. | Guest Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

I am a working mother of two and a full-time student working on a psychology degree. Motion has been an invaluable resource for keeping me productive during my study times. It helps keep me motivated and on task!

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

One thing that I wish Motion had was the ability to set reminders or notifications on the calendar or mobile app. I get them on my desktop app, but it would be so helpful if I could get them without the desktop app being open. Also. I would love the ability to view projects in the mobile app.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Motion helps me make sense of the many assignments and responsibilities I have being a working mom and full-time student. I don't have to worry about figuring out what to do next, because Motion does it for me!

  ### 49. Really impressive - why didn't we all do this years ago?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Re-plans dynamically and it automatically re-scheules unless you mark it as complete. Tasks flow arounf things in one or more other calenders - it's super helpful.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The phone app leaves a lot to be desired and some of it takes a little getting used to (such as how to make a task at a set time). It's also pricey for an individual, but probably well worth it when buying as a company.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saves stacks of time with constantly having to re-plan and re-schedule tasks. Also helps put the priority tasks first. It's a good cross between a calander and a task list

  ### 50. Great Experience, Easy Scheduler and Smart. Motion is my new PA.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dharmic M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Motion?**

Very intelligent lile an AI. It structures slots based on your tasks, deadlines and importance. If something is not complete it will automatically reschedule. Very helpful for those who have adhoc things come up. The jobs where you could be needed randomly at any time.

**What do you dislike about Motion?**

The Portal is quite dull and not well interactive on the phone. If it could be more to live and light. Also if the scheduleder had a mode to appear on my echo and tablet as my next task list...with motivational quotes and timers. Etc I can show more on this and think many would love this feature.

**What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving time and becoming more effective and effecient. I leave work happier and feel like I have been more productive than usual. I enjoy using the portal as a result.
