It's easy to track how much time is spent on each task and look back weeks later to see how much time/when that task was completed. I love the calendar option of easily going back and forth to different dates to easily find things! It's very easy to use! The breakdown of time per day shown in a week is great and automatically totals up all of the numbers! **What do you dislike about Minute7?** The timer could be updated a little more! The "Quick Add" and filtering Customers and Service can be a little confusing and repetitive. Perhaps adding titles of what each one is, it could be easier to understand. They've really updated it from the older version but it can be frustrating that it sometimes sends you to the old site with a timer set to redirect you to the new version. I wish the times were set to actual times (ex: If I say I worked on something for 15 minutes, it shows up in Minute7 as .25) This can be a little confusing and hard to keep track of. The only way you know is if the hour ends up being exact - especially if you're using it for work that you need to work on different clients for. **Recommendations to others considering Minute7:** The newest update has been awesome and really was an improvement to the older version! You can easily start the timer to begin a task and if you need to pause at any point, you can just pause and resume when ready! A great feature of it is if you click out of the timer, it's still running so you didn't lose any data! - Tracks the date of the tasks so easily so you can see when and what you did on each day! This a very easy time tracker for large or small businesses! I highly recommend using it if you aren't sure ! One of the options to always consider with this is to make sure you're timing yourself for easy payroll time! **What do you dislike about Minute7?** You can't edit after the day is done. I think it would be nice to go through it after so you can edit anything that you may need to. The top and bottom sections seem to be very similar so it could be confusing if you're not tech - savy or aren't familiar with tracking your time anywhere. If you mark something as billable, you have to remember to uncheck it for the next entry -- I've made that mistake many of times where I marked something billable because I didn't unmark it after the previous task! **Recommendations to others considering Minute7:** Do it! It's a very affordable and organizational software! It's a great way to track different clients especially if you're working with more than one! I leave the web portal open and log my hours as soon as I'm done with a task for a client. The built-in timer is accurate and easy to use. And I've set-up automated reminders for my staff to ensure they're entering their hours as they are completed as well. **What do you dislike about Minute7?** I'd like to see more report options. While able to pull reports by client and by staff member, I'd like other options for reporting. Having some kind of built-in dashboard with goals, etc would be extremely helpful. **Recommendations to others considering Minute7:** Get to learn and know the product. It's easy to use but can be a powerful tool for firms that work on a billable hour basis. It integrates seamlessly into QuickBooks, making your accounting and payroll processes more powerful as well. **What problems is Minute7 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our time tracking is done solely in Minute7. The firm works on a billable hour in quarter hour increments, so having a reliable, online tool is important. Without this tool, we wouldn't make money. Period. Minute7 makes it easy to track hours for myself and our staff. And I can pull reports in a matter of seconds for each person on staff. This makes client billing easy because all I have to do is pull a report, add up the hours and rates for each client, and send an invoice with the report. ### 6. The interfaces are pretty much self explanatory. Minute 7 seems to provide excellent support. The online webpage and phone app make it very simple to add time and other details. The timer is excellent as well as it makes it easy to accurately record my time. The newest online version makes it even easier to add, correct and edit time and other details for my work week. Minute7 has a lot of flexibility as well, so it's not very rigid as to how time is input. The drop downs and interfaces make it extremely easy to manage, calculate and get an excellent overview of how time is spent each week. This is an excellent tool for trending how time is spent each week. It's also an excellent tool to trend how time is spent each week on each project and over the lifetime of various projects. Minute7 also allows us to continually track time on each project. This allows us to ensure we're staying within the budget of each project. The straightforwardness is excellent as well, as it makes Minute7 very easy to use. **What do you dislike about Minute7?** There's nothing to really dislike with the app. It's very user friendly. **Recommendations to others considering Minute7:** There are no recommendations that I can think of. **What problems is Minute7 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Minute7 is making it easy and simple to input how my time is spent each week for work. You can also get total hours easily, and by changing the dates you can get a total number of hours to determine how much time you spent on any given project. This is especially useful when calculating PTO. **What do you dislike about Minute7?** In the beginning the date function was a little confusing but once you know how to use it, it's fine. I would recommend that instead of just having the beginning date and last date highlighted that you make it so that when you click on the beginning date the calendar pop up from that. It was confusing that when I clicked on the calendar that I had to have the first date hi lighted first. It took me way to long to figure that out. The layout can always be improved, which is true for anything. Just making things easier on the eyes. There will time often especially calculating payed time off. Employees Geta certain number of hours so it's beneficial to be able to simply type in PTO in the search and if you logged PTO in the description line then it is east to find out down the road when you logged it through the search option. And once it has been located it will automatically calculate how much PTO you have used up. Making it easy to determine how much of PTO you have left. ### 8. The new interface has shown improvements that make it easier to enter time on a daily and weekly basis. The product syncs with QuickBooks for easy transfer of time to jobs. All in all the product is very economical to use when considering other similar products or writing and maintaining a home-grown solution. **What do you dislike about Minute7?** The calendar on the new interface can be confusing at times showing too much of a timespan by default. Likewise, you must pay attention when duplicating an entry, or you may end up recording time for an incorrect date. But, that's really a training issue and not the fault of the software. **What problems is Minute7 solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use the product to track time against clients, jobs, and tasks. It has been much easier to track time against job and task in Minute7 vs other solutions both commercial and home-grown. ### 10. Uploading receipts should be made easier and would be great if mobile were integrated to calendar app. **Recommendations to others considering Minute7:** If you need a relatively easy to use tracking software, this is for you. Easily see how many hours and expenses you have at any given time. I like that I have everything in one location. The search option can be slightly improved for users so they are able to see yearly totals, an end of year summary would be a great added feature. The users time descriptions drop easily into our customer invoices. We would also like an "all" selection option for date searches. Another great feature is the way data is stored and how easy it is to find what you are looking for or make edits or changes on the fly. **What do you dislike about Minute7?** One of the things that I dislike and it may be me more than the site and service itself is the way that time can be added from day to day. I may have a huge amount of time on one day and realize that it is tabulating all the Fridays in the month. This maybe my error though. **Recommendations to others considering Minute7:** Try it out. I only track hours, not expenses or Quickbooks integration. I have contacted support several times for very simple fixes that I did not see or was a checkmark within QB and problems were solved very quickly. **Recommendations to others considering Minute7:** Use Minute7 and save the time for other tasks. **What problems is Minute7 solving and how is that benefiting you?** The time saving from having to enter time in QB or using Excel spreadsheets and syncing to QB is the best part about it. I open a user account with the employees name, have them log in, they enter their time, I approve, and I sync to QB. It is definitely the easiest option when timesheets are essential part of your business. ### 20. Solid feature set to support our needs as we grow, and very easy integration to Quickbooks. Supports billable and non-billable time, time and expense approval levels, and customized settings by employee type. We've grown from just a few employees to twenty and still growing. **What do you dislike about Minute7?** The import to Quickbooks can be a little slow sometimes, but I think that is on the Quickbooks side. I'm using Quickbooks Desktop, so I think the speed is likely connected to that. **What problems is Minute7 solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have several consultants working remotely with our clients. Minute7 enables our distributed workforce to easily enter time and expense and supports us in getting invoices produced and out to the clients quickly. ### 21. I'm not overwhelmed with several options and screens. However this was more of a visual preference than an issue with actual functionality.
