Therefore, I am using this tool for UAV image processing. There are many positive aspects are available in this software. 1. It has 30 days free trial with complete access to develop the reflectance and orthomosaic maps. 2. Another benefit of this application is which is compatible with Windows and Mac operating system. 3. We can divide the process into several steps that will be prevented errors during the processing. 4. There are a lot of details workflows are available on the agisoft metashape website. Therefore, beginners can be understood quickly. 5. It is supported for most popular drones cameras such as DJI P4, micasense and etc. 6. Another important point that has GPU processing to accelerate the speed of processing. **What do you dislike about MetaShape?** 1. If we need to work with this for more than a month, have to purchase it. 2. Sometimes, it is stopped between the process because of unknown reasons. 3. Sometimes, it does not automatically detect the GCP panels during the processing. **Recommendations to others considering MetaShape:** I strongly recommend using PIX4D for image processing because it is supported for Windows and Mac operating systems. Further, we can get the output files in separate folders for easy analysis. Beginners can understand the processing very quickly. **What problems is MetaShape solving and how is that benefiting you?** Currently, I am conducting a field experiment on yield and disease estimation in sugarcane crops through a university fund. So. I am using this tool for developing the reflectance map, orthomosaic map, vegetation index map and etc for doing the classification using AI. Earlier I was used the PIX4D for image processing but now moved to Agisoft because I could not export the composite Multispectral image from PIX4D. But through this tool, I developed a composite map for image classification. Also, PIX4D is not supported for Mac. Since I am using the Macbook pro, I install the mac version for image processing. Therefore, it is showing more benefits than PIX4D and webODM. ### 2. It's a very powerful tool. **What do you dislike about MetaShape?** I dislike that the program can take a long time and it can be hard to troubleshoot problems. The online forums are helpful though. **What problems is MetaShape solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am using the tool to create DEMs and orthomosaics of beaches. It's cresting high quality datasets. ### 3. Scanning seems to be getting faster with each update. **What do you dislike about MetaShape?** Resulting texture is quite messy, some other applications do a better job. But still can't complain about that! **Recommendations to others considering MetaShape:** Great software that is easy to use. The most effective software for 3D scanning. **What problems is MetaShape solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's a great teaching tool due to the ease of use.
