## Linear Reviews
 ### 1. Efficient Ticket Tracking, Needs UI Polishing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Linear?**

I love that all the conversation can happen off Linear as well, like in Slack, so I don't have to leave Slack to update things or open new ones. From Slack, we can open different types of tickets that are then assigned and filed based on predefined Linear workflows. This greatly speeds things up on our end, as there's no context switching.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

I find the UI can sometimes be hard on the eyes because everything looks visually flat. I feel like Jira had them better organized, for example. I'd suggest making it less flat, visually.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linear helps manage the order and priority of tasks, track status, and notify stakeholders. Its Slack integration allows ticket updates without leaving Slack, speeding up processes by reducing context switching.

 ### 2. Great tool, not so good reports

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sebastian G. | Senior QA Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Linear?**

The tool is easy to use, you can easily track cycles and create projects and issues easily.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

The tool is very good, but the reports aren't very user-friendly, and it's sometimes difficult to calculate metrics that help the team measure, for example, velocity, tenure, etc.
Integrations with QA tools could also be improved.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management with multidisciplinary teams

 ### 3. Great Git Integration, but Triaging Can Be a Bit Annoying

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Animation | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2026

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

 ### 4. Good Tool for managing your everyday projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sumeet S. | Product Manager, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Linear?**

As a Sr. Product Manager, I use Linear every single day to manage sprints, prioritize tasks, and keep the team aligned. What I love most is the clean, minimal UI and how effortless it feels to plan and track work. The speed is unmatched compared to other tools—no lag, no clutter, just a smooth experience. The keyboard-first navigation and shortcuts make me significantly more productive. I also appreciate how well it integrates with tools like Slack and GitHub, giving me a streamlined workflow across product and engineering. Linear makes it easy to stay on top of roadmaps and execution without feeling overwhelmed.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

One limitation I’ve felt is with epics management. Currently, epics feel too lightweight—I’d love the ability to create a full-fledged epic structure, where I can build modules inside an epic, and within those, create tasks and subtasks. This would allow more depth and hierarchy in planning complex projects. Right now, we make it work with tasks and projects, but for bigger initiatives, a more structured epic framework would be a huge value add.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linear helps us replace bulky, slow tools with a fast and intuitive workflow. It gives clear visibility into projects, keeps our product and engineering teams aligned, and integrates seamlessly with Slack and GitHub. Planning and tracking work is now much smoother, saving us time and improving overall team velocity.

Some advanced features have a learning curve, and limited customization options can be restrictive for certain workflows.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linear solves the problem of cluttered and slow issue tracking by providing a fast, streamlined system for managing tasks and bugs. This improves visibility, reduces overhead, and helps me plan, track, and ship work more efficiently.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renée D. | Product and Knowledge Manager, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Linear?**

The team clearly cares about design and the user experience. Every feature contributes to an intuitive experience, and integrations are seamless. This is probably the most beautiful and well thought out app I've ever used, and the support team and slack channel are amazing. I've never needed to submit a support ticket, but occasionally send feature requests. However, I'm so happy with Linear out of the box for Product Management, roadmap planning, team collaboration, etc., that I'd be fine without any of my feature requests making it onto their roadmap. This isn't just about having a useful. From watching YouTube videos and Linkedin posts, the whole team has so much wisdom to share that's valuable to anyone working in Saas or product in general.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

Not applicable. I have yet to find a true flaw. I have only requested additional features to more easily support housing documentation.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Linear?**

Since an incident I had, my whole impression has changed. Product is good, but the people around it make it unessarily hard to trust and use.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

From my experience as of now, nothing. Support when i asked for my account access back, switched on many things he/she asked me for and then took a wierd position of educating me on what security is. I am an engineer, I dont just talk about security, I actually implement it, talking down about me on security is ludicrous when i need access to my Linear account.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used it to break down product development features, tasks and the notes/storlylines about it.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie M. | Independent Product Consultant, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Linear?**

Linear is everything that I ever dreamed a development tracking tool could be and MORE.

I've used so many different tools in the past, and for a me (someone who works on small software product development teams), it's the best thing I've ever seen.

What I love:
- it's fast. really fast
- it's beautiful . I believe the founder/CEO is a designer? It's shows. The UX is flawless. I feel happy every time I open the product.
- it integrates with Github
- it's super easy to configure to fit the way we work
- when entering a new issue, potential duplicates are conveniently displayed
- highlight text and make an issue
- best WYSIWYG editor in any tracking tool I've ever used. It just works.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

I can't believe I'm saying this, but there is literally nothing I dislike about this tool. Well done.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using Linear with a stealth-mode startup on a team size of 5. We use this product daily to track our design, development and testing tasks.

 ### 36. The most streamlined issue-tracking tool

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Linear?**

It's simple and easy to use, with all the features you want and very little that you don't need. It integrates well with other services we use like Slack, Figma, and Canny

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

Nothing bad to say really. They toyed with some glassmorphic design elements recently that I didn't love but they've since abandoned that thankfully.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us easily manage our issue backlog and prioritise our workflow.

 ### 37. Linear is a supercharged productivity tool for agile and scrum

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Divyansh K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Linear?**

The best feature of the Linear app is the ease of use and simplicity compared to other task management tools. With Linear, creating roadmaps, sprint planning, and tracking tasks is child's play. The keyboard shortcuts are also one of the best thing I like about Linear

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

Honestly, there is not much that you won't like about Linear. Things that might be improved can be more visibility and discoverability of sprint performance. Maybe make it easier to see distribution of work between different team members and teams.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linear.app helps us organize and track the sprint, keep tasks and bugs, host scrum boards and roadmaps, etc. It's a pivotal tool for us and is very high impacting on the performance of the members as makes it super easy to track the tasks at hand.

 ### 38. Looking for replacement for one of the most popular project managment tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jakub S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Linear?**

Simplicity and stunning design base in bento and a lots of product integration.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

Lack of simple time tracking tool and lack of integration eg. tempo app.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working with an international, fully remote team can be challenging when it comes to tracking milestones and issues. However, Linear addresses almost all of these challenges.

 ### 39. Agile Management reinvented

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harald M. | CPO & Co-Founder, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Linear?**

It is fast, it is beautiful, it is has fantastic UX, it has great integrations, they constantly ship great, innovative features

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

Really hard to say - probably that they run product and coroporate website on same domain, so it is hard to find website when logged in

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We manage the Agile Lifecycle of our SaaS Product with Linear: Roadmap, Sprints, Features, Bugs...

 ### 40. Perfect project management tool for software companies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yasith P. | CEO/Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Linear?**

Linear is fast, easy and carefully designed. Unlike other project management tools you are asked to work in a methodology which they have defined is best for software companies. Solved most of the problems of other PM tools.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

They charge you the same amount for guests and that could be challenging if you are working with external parties.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linear helps to streamline our dev and design teams. We create roadmaps, projects, and sprints and maintain our backlog of tasks in Linear. We also use it to handle support cases.

 ### 41. Great Start

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jerry Y. | Director of Technology & Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Linear?**

I really like Linear.app as a project management tool. It has a clean and intuitive interface that makes it easy to keep track of tasks and progress. The ability to easily collaborate with team members and assign tasks is a huge benefit.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

One thing I dislike about Linear.app is that it doesn't have as many features as some other project management tools on the market. However, this can also be seen as a positive because it keeps the app simple and focused on the core features.

Also lacking analytics.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linear.app is solving the problem of cluttered and disorganized project management. It allows teams to easily track progress and collaborate on tasks, which ultimately leads to more efficient and successful projects. As a user, this benefits me by saving time and reducing stress when managing projects.

 ### 42. Amazing modern alternative for your agile requirements

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akshay M. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Linear?**

Linear is as agile as it can be. The UI/UX of linear is so smooth that you will never think of returning to other softwares. I like the fact that it's experience is unparalleled when it comes to running cross platform.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

I love almost everything about linear. One thing that our team struggled is that it took some time to get comfortable with linear. I wish if there could be some sorts of guide for users migrating from other mainstream similar softwares.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linear wants to make Agile processes more user friendly and accessible. Accessbility (keyboard shortcut, look and feel etc) is the best attributes of linear. It's integration with other softwares like slack is also something we regularly use and makes the entire work processes much simpler.

 ### 43. Even if you're not an engineer, Linear is easy to use to collaborate with development teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charly J. | Head of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Linear?**

It's biased for developers and their planning, but as a Marketing professional, the tool is simple and easy enough to use to follow along and even collab with development treams.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

The UI/UX is a bit more engineer friendly. It's a bit less intuitive and less flashy, but that's probably what's preferred for developers. I wish there were different modes/skins you could use.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily track and follow along plans/sprints with developers so you can work async and meet deadlines to push to market. I love to see other teams on there and get things done in a timely manner.

 ### 44. Great product for project management and startups!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bobby A. | Support Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Linear?**

Direct integration with Github is probably one of the best features for us. It allows us to keep track of our updates and fixes, referencing the commit. It allows for our team mates to be able to keep up to date.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

A bit of dead space and one thing we never really understood is the inbox. There is no explanation on what it is. But other than that, all good. Linear is still one of our favs.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To fall back on our previous answer, being able to update and reference our commits to let our team view the changes and update everything through the app is great.

 ### 45. An excellent project management tool for sprint planning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arianna H. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Linear?**

Linear is extremely easy to use. There is a web application and a desktop application (I prefer to use the desktop application). The UI is simple and straightforward. I can add different types of tags/labels to each ticket. I can also change the status, the priority, the sprint, the project, etc. and add engineering estimates. I have used both Jira and Asana extensively in previous roles, and I find the UI of Linear to be superior.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

I wish there were also mobile applications like Jira or Asana have! This would help me create tickets for my team, update statuses, or respond to comments on-the-go rather than having to wait until I'm back at my computer. Additionally, I think it would be helpful if Linear also had an adjacent documentation software (similar to Atlassian's Confluence) so that we didn't have to use other software for PRDs, architecture documentation, and other forms of documentation related to our sprints.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linear helps us with sprint planning, quarterly roadmapping, ticket/project status tracking, prioritization, and so much more! Linear is our one-stop shop for all things related to planning and resourcing.

 ### 46. A central way to manage projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David M. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Linear?**

Team interconnectivity is the most helpful benefit of having Linear. We can share issues from one project to another and also check what Product team is planning in the timeline view.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

Maybe the sidebar has many tabs together. It makes it annoying to navigate the sidebar. It could improve by making the letter bigger and trying to not combine icons with letters in the tabs.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, many teams of the company are using Linear and it is helpful to have a central place to know what each other is doing, and to share tasks from project to anoother.

 ### 47. My Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Linear?**

Linear makes managing tasks more productive, we use it to assign the development team to filter and fix bug reports generated by the DevOps team, for better system performance and stability, it also makes collaborating much easier and manages KPI and user credential data in the forms of charts and graphs for better visualization.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

Linear currently lacks a more definitive visual representation for managing KPIs that can be edited and customized, moreover currently lacks android based mobile application.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use linear for its tracking feature which keeps us on track to fulfill our goals and duties more efficiently while having a bonus of different styles and themes boards for tasks and activity which increases our productivity and data flow for better visualization, Moreover team collaboration is also helping us map task and increase workplace communication.

 ### 48. Pretty straightforward - but I'm not using advanced features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kent O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Linear?**

Linear has a decent UX, allowing ticket management with labels in a fairly easy way. I can have different views saved, create projects and assign issues in it.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

When adding issues to a project, I feel like we could list them in a better way to have main categories and sub categories of issues displayed with dropdown.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We manage our sprints with Linear. This means creating issues/tasks for each developper, estimating them, labeling them for stats purposes. This includes both new features but also bugs and improvements.

 ### 49. Slim and Powerful

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Linear?**

Linear is a slim and powerful development tool that makes it easy to manage and track issues and tasks in a project. The interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy to navigate and find the information you need. Additionally, the tool offers a wide range of features such as notifications, labels, and integration with other tools like GitHub, which makes it a great option for teams of any size. Overall, Linear is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a streamlined and efficient way to manage their development projects.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

Any development tool needs to be tightly integrated with docs or knowledge management tools. This is where Linear could be improved. If hey created as well a crafted Knowledge Manager i would be very impressed. Something like Slite.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clean and focussed issue management.

 ### 50. A sleek and effective collaboration tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piotr P. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Linear?**

Linear makes it very easy to create issues, paste in a load of screenshots and detail, and assign it to a team mate.

**What do you dislike about Linear?**

I don't really have any objections, it's solid.

**What problems is Linear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need to quickly jot down tickets for development, often in the middle of a meeting, and Linear makes that clean and easy.
