We are really starting to utilize the custom dashboard views through the Insights tool. The ability to create a custom view for a dashboard is valuable, increasing visiblity of performance for our team and also simplifying ongoing tasks like revenue recognition. We don't have a direct integration with our ERP to drive revenue recognition, so we used Insights to create a custom dashboard that pulls out all completed milestones that tie to revenue recognition and use that output to simplify our month end process. Due to the use of custom objects in Hubspot, the base Kantata connector tool does not work well. There is a new Kantata connector with increased capabilities available, but it comes with an increased subscription cost and not something we have budgeted at this time, so stuck with an inferior integration for the near future. Kantata is solving our problem of visibility into project progress, team utilization, end-customer collaboration, and project financial tracking. Kantata allows us to see what work is upcoming and what staffing adjustments (hiring) are required to meet those demands. That benefits us by not overstaffing or understaffing, allowing us to optimize our costs while ensuring we can deliver for our end customers. In terms of project tracking, we can now track hours of effort executed against milestones and tasks within a project. This benefits us by providing data to take continuous improvement actions against. We can see what parts of the projects are taking longer than planned, where we may be getting stuck in our delivery process, and also what tasks/areas are taking way more effort than we had planned. We needed a central place to manage and have visibility to all projects and their associated timelines and resourcing. After defining our process and data model, Mavenlink was easy to set up and migrate to. In a few weeks we had our projects set up and had immediate visibility into our resourcing and forecast. With APIs available for just about everything, we easily imported the historical time for our active projects to be able see the full picture. Mavenlink is so easy to use for end users that it was almost seamless to get the team engaged and following our newly established processes from the start. However, it would be nice to have a little more ongoing assistance in creating the reports. Also, we love the dependency feature that allows task workflow to be automated. However, we needed to purchase custom developments that made it usable at the individual task level and also to make templates repeater automatically. I have used Kantata OX for roughly four years now. The software is intuitive and consistently being improved on. I was part of the Pulse Beta Test which I did not get to use in my previous role, however, it may become a new tool used at my new role.
