**What do you like best about JustFOIA?**

We LOVE everything about JustFOIA.  Since the very first demo, to current day usage their customer service has been outstanding!  Our check-ins with our assigned customer service representative are productive, efficient but yet she listens to what the challenges we are facing and comes up with creative solutions.  Huge Shout out to Angel!

**What do you dislike about JustFOIA?**

I can honestly say that we have not encountered anything we dislike about JustFOIA, the company or their products.  If we have a challenge or need clarification, they are responsive and take the time to come up with solutions or point us to training, etc.

**What problems is JustFOIA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We did not have any true reliable tracking of our Records Requests.  JustFOIA makes it incredible easy to show the in 46% increase in requests for 2025, as well as the turnaround time of 2.63 days, on our requests.  This information is presented to our Chief of Police and our university leadership.  JustFOIA makes it incredibly easy to track outstanding requests, their status and is a critical piece to ensure we are meeting turn around times required by both state statute, local rules and regulations, as well as university polices and procedures.

The technical support at justFOIA is superb.  They always are quick to respond.  JustFOIA is easy to use and navigate.

JustFOIA saves me lots of time so I am not sure there are any downsides.

JustFOIA saves me time in reviewing and redacting documents.  The document viewer/document management is a lifesaver.

**What do you like best about JustFOIA?**

JustFOIA has provided a streamlined experience for our employees and the public for our disclosure process. We've experienced a huge reduction in time spent waiting on data to process and almost zero complications for requestors when accessing their records. JustFOIA's ability to pull out duplicate emails from pst files has saved me months of work removing overy 40,000 for one request alone.

**What do you dislike about JustFOIA?**

There is an opportunity to have a few more options for internal organization for preparing responsive records.

**What problems is JustFOIA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wouldn't say it's a problem, JustFOIA's transparency on making improvements and receiving feedback on processes is a huge benefit to our agency. The recent updates regarding business hours, the addition of the recycle bin and transferring/copying records have been welcome changes.

The Program is so easy to use, meets our needs, and the customer service is outstanding.  Not to mention that JustFOIA wants to know from its users what they can do to improve and they actually make the changes and improve the product.

**What do you like best about JustFOIA?**

The City of Greeley launched JustFOIA in May of 2023, and we have been extremely successful in this partnership. JustFOIA has been an incredible aid for tracking, facilitating, and completing open records requests. From the simplified redaction to the localized correspondence, JustFOIA has increased our productivity and made our lives much easier! JustFOIA is playing a major role in our Customer Experience Initiative by helping us provide better customer service and helping our residents more effectively.

I literally have nothing bad to say about JustFOIA.

Localized request tracking - makes it so much easier to keep track of all of our requests
Simplified communication - email templates are so simple to make and streamline our work

**What do you like best about JustFOIA?**

JustFOIA has made processing public records requests so easy. Before I used an Excel spreadsheet and my calendar to track my public records requests. JustFOIA keeps everything in one place. 

I've seen an uptick in requests for emails. The software's PST extractor tool makes uploading and reviewing emails a breeze. It easily removes duplicate emails, and I am easily able to to search the email for keywords instead of reading each email like I used to. 

My response time for requests has been drastically reduced. I can also easily delegate searches to other staff members. The email templates have made responding to requests simple. 

I also love the ability to run a quick report to update my leaders on public records requests. 

Last but not least, the team at JustFOIA is amazing! Each person I interacted with each step of the way was helpful and friendly. Ashley set up our portal and form. She also trained us on how to use the software. She is the BEST! She was patient, kind, and very responsive. I was quick to answer any questions we had. If she didn't know the answer, she found it and communicated every step of the way. She even answered the questions we didn't know to ask. She made implementation so easy and provided a training template that I could use with my team. 

After our training period, Ashley left us in Cameron's capable hands. I haven't had to reach out to Cameron very often, but he is quick to reply and understanding. He doesn't make me feel dumb when I ask a stupid question.

The care and responsiveness we've received the entire team has made us feel like we are their only client. 

I would highly recommend JustFOIA as it is an amazing product with amazing people behind it!

**What do you dislike about JustFOIA?**

JustFOIA can be a bit overwhelming at first. There are a lot of features. 

With the large scope of requests I've received, it would be nice to have an installment feature. I would like to set the overall completion date, with periodic due date set to provide installments of records.

Reducing response time for public records requests. Ease of collecting fees.

**What do you like best about JustFOIA?**

The two best features for our municipality is the fact that more than one indivdiual can work on a request at one time and the PST extractor that helps us identify and pull duplicate emails. Hundreds of hours of work will be saved annually.

**What do you dislike about JustFOIA?**

Overall this is such an improvement, but the biggest workflow issue we have with it is with the tasks being assigned out to staff. They have to be identical lists of tasks which can lead to some confusion.

**What problems is JustFOIA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JustFOIA has improved some of the bottlenecks we had when processing requests, such as allowing multiple staff members to be working on the same request and the PST data extraction tool. Additionally, the redaction feature does not glitch and we are gaining confidence in it each day (we had substantial issues with it erroring out or applying the redactions one inch to the left).

The system is very user friendly and customizable to your needs! The implmentation process was smooth and easy, Ashley was amazing and always made sure our needs were met and questions were answered. Our organization really liked the fact that the number of users wasn't limited or an addtional cost.

The only thing I would change at this point is the fact that you can't pick a date on the calendar when changing the request settings, you have to manually count the days.

**What problems is JustFOIA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our public records tracking, JLARC reporting and ease of supplying records to citizens have been our biggest hurdles with public record requests. JustFOIA has been able to assist us with all aspects, and I am easily able to pull combined numbers from the City and Police Department for reporting.

We love the redaction feature and that the redaction log is automatically generated. We also love the ability to easily customize reports and pages and that the date counter makes sure we keep all deadlines. All of our contacts with JustFOIA have been excellent, Chris, Ashley and Cameron are all very nice and easy to work with and super helpful.

**What do you dislike about JustFOIA?**

The redaction feature could be a little easier to use but overall we love it. Nothing to dislike!

We previously used a very antiquated system for tracking and processing public records requests. It was a very manual and time-consuming process. JustFOIA has made the process much more automated for us and allows us to complete requests faster and more efficiently.

**What do you like best about JustFOIA?**

We needed a one-stop shop for PRA processing, a hub where all PRAs lived, where staff had the capabilities to review, redact, retain, and release records, correspond with each other, correspond with the requester, and have all the backup documentation of the who, what, when, where, and how in case something ever came up, if someone wasn’t satisfied, if someone didn’t get their records, if someone said they didn’t get communicated with; we had it all at our fingertips with JustFOIA. 

Not only did we need a one-stop shop for PRA processing, we needed a team that could train us from the ground up to utilize this program in the most efficient way possible; JustFOIA was able to walk through our dreadful process, break it down, and connect the dots without causing chaos; in our history at San Marcos, we have never had such a successful program rollout where everyone felt they had the training, they had the access, and they had the ability to dive in. JustFOIA made the transition successful with their support. From Murray to Ashley, to Kit, Cameron, and Chris, we have had nothing but unreasonably amazing service and support to the point that there are times that I wish things would mess up more, so I had an excuse to reach out and catch up because they’ve been wonderful people to walk this journey with. 

We went from releasing general PRAs at the 10-day mark to consistently releasing these records in 3 days, because our staff isn’t spending days on end going through the process to ensure every little email is sent, record is uploaded in one place, communicated in another, and so forth. We have seen an absurd amount of public-use from the portal, so consider that our PRAs seem to have tripled and yet we are consistently releasing records quickly and efficiently; we often get kudos from our repeat requesters about how much they love the portal, how user friendly it is, and how it doesn’t compare to some of the other platforms that other cities are using.

**What do you dislike about JustFOIA?**

What I dislike most about JustFOIA is that they're not right here in the office with us spreading their positivity, support, and excellence around to influence all of us to live up to their standards.

**What problems is JustFOIA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JustFOIA is always under development to help better services and to provide new features and this benefits us in our every day use of the platform.  Additionally, our rep, Cameron Philley jumps on a call quickly any time we have a challenge and even when we need to talk through a problem to help us understand what, if anything, we need to change about our configuration.

JustFOIA has made our records request management much easier. We can track where a request is and provide requesters updates much easier than before. The system has been easy to teach employees how to use and the customer service has been great. Outside parties have also enjoyed a new way to submit requests.

I have no real issues with the system. Any problem I might have is mainly internal and no fault of JustFOIA.

Our team's biggest challenge right now has been learning the new systems because we are all new -- JustFOIA has provided lots of support. Right now, I don't have dislikes to report. Still learning.

Providing a central collection and tracking system for our requests.
We would like to use the redaction feature; however, because it is cloud based, it is not an option for us. The review/redaction is a big challenge for us right now.

I love that JustFOIA provides our municipality with a central system for receiving, processing, tracking, and responding to open records requests! It keeps requests organized and on schedule to meet required response times while maintaining a request history that staff can reference for future duplicate or similar requests.

**What do you dislike about JustFOIA?**

Currently, the system cannot mark incoming correspondence as unread, so if you open an email in the system, you need to address it at that time or make a note to go back to it.

**Recommendations to others considering JustFOIA:**

I highly recommend consideration of JustFOIA if you are looking for efficiency and organization in a records request system. It has been well-received by our customers and staff. I would never want to go back to manually handling paper or email records requests exclusively!

**What problems is JustFOIA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JustFOIA solves the problem of lost paper or deleted email requests. It helps staff to address all requests promptly and meet the required timelines for responses. It also helps staff ensure the collection of all required fees before providing documentation.

JustFOIA provided a more productive and efficient way of responding to public records requests. I fell in love with this software program because it provides a easy way to keep track of all requests and is very user friendly. My workload is no longer overwhelming. In addition, it took hardly no time to train other City personnel on how to use the software program which also made my job easier through the transition process. Overall, JustFOIA has truly been a blessing for me and the City of Albany, Georgia.

At this time, there are no complaints regarding JustFOIA.

By utilizing JustFOIA,  our public records process has become 90% paperless. It has cut down our office expense for paper, ink, folders, usb drives, etc.  The software program has boosted the moral of effectively and efficiently responding to request; therefore, it has also cut down on the time and stress in processing such requests.

**What do you like best about JustFOIA?**

JustFOIA has continued to make our public records request much easier to process and complete, as the system allows for easy sharing of documents, internal communication amongst users of the system, and also external communication with requesters. Also, the ability to search texts to locate requests and information is fantastic.  Lastly, their support staff continues to be timely and efficient in their assistance with my issues.

**What do you dislike about JustFOIA?**

I cannot think of anything that truly makes me "dislike" JustFOIA, especially with its continuous approach of making it better with each passing quarter in the year, but I would definitely push towards having the capiblities of being able to copy response docs from one request to another, and even as I type that, JustFOIA has already placed that improvement on their roadmap of ideas to improve their system.

We were able to make the public records request much more effective and efficient for the public. Also, internally, it allows all that is involved in the processing of records requests centralized, with each user being able to go to a single system to locate communication, request details, and documents all in a one-stop-shop! All users love it being user-friendly.

Easily find the information I need to complete the requests.  Having the option to email within the program to speed things up or make the requestor aware of any difficulties is more convenient than having to go to a different email outside of the program and hope someone sees it.

**What do you dislike about JustFOIA?**

It can be an issue finding all or any attachments that belong to the request.  Not particularly time-consuming; it just takes a moment to scroll to the bottom and sift through everything.

The system is an added plus to any work entity.

The ease in gathering all information to fulfill the requirement is a pleasant surprise.  This system cuts down on the paper trail that used to occur.  The option of checking all requests before printing necessary paperwork is very valuable.

**What do you like best about JustFOIA?**

JustFOIA is an easy software to process Open Records Requests. I like how the requester can fill out the form and comes directly to me. All you have to do is upload the files, invoice, and complete. It is user-friendly and easy to navigate. JustFOIA also offers excellent customer service. Bryan Price is our rep, and he is very professional and always willing to walk me through anything I need and assist with all my questions.

I have no complaints about using JustFOIA.

You will find that it saves a lot of work and time.

Requests get processed pretty quickly. I do not have to download videos to CDs and have a stack in my office waiting for pickup. Everything is processed electronically, which is convenient.

There's so many benefits to this program. It keeps track of your days, all the requester's information, and allows you to redact and email all from this program.

I love how user-friendly it is. Many of the features are simple to use and self-explanatory.

The only downside that I have encountered is the loading speed and the memory capacity.

Creating a venue for FOIA requests that are both easy to monitor and user friendly so everyone is happy.

There is no option for folders in Response Docs,they all go in and get mixed together. hard to fix it a mistake happens.
When uploading larger amounts of documents to Response Docs. - sometimes, they don't all go into Response Docs, and we do not know which ones did not go.
