While it is primarily used to pull transcripts as needed, we also monitor the IRS account of clients that contract with us to provide that service. With monitoring we get to inform the client they will be receiving the notice and what we believe it may be concerning. **What do you dislike about IRS Solutions?** It is a comprehensive tool, therefore sometimes it may seem complex. Complexity leads to users not knowing how to accurately use all the features. I would also like to suggest a practitioner license. That was the practitioner could have an assistant help them manage the software. **What problems is IRS Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?** By providing sample letters for certain reasons based on the notice or letter number, I get a heads start on writing the letter to the IRS. ### 2. I've used similar products in the past, but they were always so clunky and "overdone." IRS Solutions is easy to use, easy to navigate, and doesn't overwhelm the user with filler that isn't necessary. There isn't a long learning curve, as much of the platform is easy to figure out. We use it daily with great success! **What do you dislike about IRS Solutions?** The only hiccup we have encountered is not being able to edit the pdf files it generates. We often add notes to pdf documents while working on a case and you can't do that on the pdf files generated (for example, a 433-A). **What problems is IRS Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ease with POA submission, monitoring client accounts, pulling IRS database records, maintaining client financial information, and generating forms. ### 3. (We found IRSS at a time when IRS hold times were at a peak- I literally waited 9 hours and never spoke to a human). Also love the IRS forms that pre-populate client and representative data. The weekly updates save so much time checking for approvals or transcripts. Monthly CPE courses are a bonus! **What do you dislike about IRS Solutions?** Hmm... I wish it could communicate with our other softwares, like Drake or our CRM. We already have client portal and e-sign functionality there so adding an additional client portal is somewhat cumbersome, especially with non-tech-savvy clients. We did the initial import, but any new people have to be manually entered every time. Also would love to see more IRS forms available, if possible, to pre-fill with client info. **What problems is IRS Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?** IRSS has increased our productivity by getting us off long calls with mind-numbing hold music, and providing access to transcripts and snapshots of what is owed and for what year. We are still discovering more uses for the available features and plan to stay customers for years to come. ### 4. The PDF preview is great for when I need to see the IRS forms for proofing. NOTES: I just found this feature now and it is a feature I use on other programs. I like having a place to take notes on the fly. The Letter Templates & Documents areas are one of the main reasons I like IRS Solutions because the time wasted on correspondents adds up quickly. Keep it simple because tax is already complicated enough. IRS Solution also has the best people to work with for someone who is NOT tech savy. **What do you dislike about IRS Solutions?** It would be nice if under "Other alerts" that it would be possible to click on that alert to take me to the forms uploaded or details of the IRS alert. It would be nice if clients recieve an IRS alert that there could be a Notice preview for that specific client notice. I see the example notices provided but it would be awesome to see what the IRS sees for when I need to call into the IRS abyss. **What problems is IRS Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?** IRS Solution solves the problem of having to learn a complex bells and whistles resolution program by being simple and intuitive. ### 5. The amount of pre-written letter templates is very impressive. **What do you dislike about IRS Solutions?** I don't like having to scan to my computer and then uploading to the software. A direct link to be able to scan documents to would be really good. **What problems is IRS Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's greatly decreased the amount of time it takes to get my resolution clients set up and begin the work.
