**What do you like best about TaxDome?**

The pipelines free me from having to use spreadsheets to track clients and my workflow.  The integration of Stripe and QuickBooks saves me a lot of time as well.  My clients really enjoy using the mobile app as well, especially those who don't have scanners.  I'd say about 25-30% of my clients use it.

**What do you dislike about TaxDome?**

There is a big learning curve to get everything set up.  I choose to start my own pipelines, jobs, and other template items from scratch, so I understood how to build them and adjust if needed.  I did spend about 10-15 hours getting things started but after that initial set up, making minor adjustments are now a breeze.

**What problems is TaxDome solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's an all-in-one solution for my tax practice.  The CRM, billing, and e-sign functions are all amazing.  I use Drake for my Tax Software and have had no issues in my first year of business.

**What do you like best about TaxDome?**

My favorite thing is how smoothly it works—there have been zero technology glitches for us. I also love how customizable it is. The AI is really helpful when I need support, and if it can’t help, it automatically connects me with customer support. Overall, it has reduced my tax-season stress and helped me stay organized while communicating well with my clients.

**What do you dislike about TaxDome?**

Getting to know it at the beginning is really overwhelming. I can tell there’s so much more it can do that I haven’t even discovered yet. It takes a lot of “studying” to figure out which levers to pull, where, and when, so things happen the way you want them to. I’m glad I stuck it out, but early on I was ready to give up and not move forward with using it.

**What problems is TaxDome solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The client portal platform we used in the past had a lot of tech issues and glitches, and it became a real time-waster for me to help clients work through them. It took my time and energy away from the actual tax return work. Tax Dome has saved me hours in this area alone. There haven’t been glitches on the client side (other than occasional user error), and I haven’t had any issues on my side either. The Tax Dome drive has also saved me a lot of time. I don’t have to create my own folders, and I can easily move documents into the right folders. Communication with our clients is much smoother now too—fewer emails, more chats, and everything is in one place, which makes it easier for the whole team to stay on the same page.

**What do you like best about TaxDome?**

I’ve had an excellent experience working with Andres at TaxDome on my website and blog posting. As a tax professional, client security is extremely important to me, and I do not allow outside web developers access to my TaxDome account. Andres fully respected this and, instead of pushing for access, took the time to teach and guide me through the process.
He is patient, knowledgeable, and responsive, and went above and beyond by posting my blogs for me, ensuring everything was formatted correctly and looked professional. That support was a huge relief.
Thanks to Andres, my website is now functional, polished, and truly reflects my business. I highly recommend him to any tax professional looking for hands-on, security-conscious TaxDome and website support.

The pricing tiers are a little confusing. When I first started using TaxDome, one-on-one training was included, and it seems that this support may now be offered as an add-on.

**What do you like best about TaxDome?**

I like that I can track email, use chat with clients, create and use templates, do billing, edit .pdfs all in the same software!  The TaxDome printer app is great. I like the integration with my tax software to print docs and send email.  The client portal is easy for my clients to use and easy for me to help them coordinate docs.

**What do you dislike about TaxDome?**

There is no social media integration and the CRM is a bit lacking.  Also, I have yet to get my website set up.

**What problems is TaxDome solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It does help me save time with organizing sending and receiving  documents.  I have not yet used the payment portal, but I do like that feature.

**What do you like best about TaxDome?**

I love that TaxDome centralizes everything in one place — CRM, client portal, documents, e-signatures, workflows, and billing. It has eliminated the need for multiple systems and made our operations far more efficient. The automations and pipelines have been a game changer. Even though I’m not using every feature yet, the workflow automation and reminders save hours each week and keep client tasks organized and on track. It has improved communication, streamlined onboarding, and created a professional client experience. Contracts, payments, document requests, and messages all flow seamlessly, helping us scale without sacrificing quality.

**What do you dislike about TaxDome?**

One thing I dislike about TaxDome is that it doesn’t yet allow me to fully pull in and manage all emails the way platforms like Karbon do. I currently still rely on Karbon for email tools such as Triage and My Week, which makes communication management feel a bit fragmented. Because of that limitation, the least helpful aspect of TaxDome is the email integration, as I’d love to have everything truly centralized within one platform. The biggest downside is needing to use multiple systems to achieve a complete workflow — TaxDome handles workflows, automation, and client management exceptionally well, but without full email functionality, I’m unable to operate completely end-to-end inside the platform.

**What problems is TaxDome solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TaxDome is solving the problem of operational overwhelm and disorganized client management by centralizing workflows, communication, document collection, e-signatures, proposals, and invoicing all in one place. Before TaxDome, I was juggling multiple platforms and manually tracking tasks, which left too much room for things to fall through the cracks. Now, automated pipelines and structured processes ensure consistent follow-through, faster onboarding, and clearer visibility into where every client stands. This has significantly improved efficiency, reduced administrative time, supported my ability to scale, and created a smoother, more professional experience for both my firm and my clients.

It is relatively easy to implement and get started.

Prior to TaxDome, the firm used 4 different systems which was costly and inefficient in moving and storing documents in different places.  Now, everything is in one place; proposals, client documents, returns, signatures, payments, etc.

**What do you like best about TaxDome?**

We are a book publishing company. Even though it's not tax-related, this is one of the best project management services on the market! We love how it keeps us organized and on-task. It's great for archiving all materials for our clients and gives us the professionalism we need to build trust with our clients.

We also love the ability to have all of our company files stored securely. This makes the service great for archival purposes, both for us and our clients.

**What do you dislike about TaxDome?**

We are a small company. We started out with a plan when it was $800/user/year. It was a tough expense then and now that the price has gone up to $1,200/user/year for the same plan, it practically wipes us out. For the economic value, the service is a deal, but the budgetary strain on small, developing companies does make it difficult to stick with. We don't want to find an alternative because this has been a great product, with a great support team, but we may have no other option. One thing that could help is to offer the yearly rates, but allow for them to be paid monthly.

It helps us keep track of all of our clients and their project workflow.
It gives us the confidence that our files are organized and secure.
Instead of having to worry about file management and workflow, we can concentrate our time and effort on actually operating our business.

I really appreciate TaxDome as a solid practice management platform for our firm. The client portal, document management, and workflow automation tools have significantly streamlined our operations. It's great having everything centralized in one system, which is essential for a firm serving 3,000+ clients annually. I love the all-in-one system which replaced multiple tools for CRM, documents, e-signatures, and workflow management. The client portal is simple and intuitive, even for non-tech-savvy clients. I also enjoy the pipeline customization, allowing us to build workflows that match exactly how we operate. The automation features, like auto reminders, task assignments, and status-based emails, save us hundreds of hours during tax season.

**What do you dislike about TaxDome?**

Pricing for add-ons gets expensive at scale. High-volume firms should have access to volume-based or tiered pricing rather than flat rates that penalize growth. Onboarding for large firms is challenging as the process is designed for smaller practices and firms with 2000+ clients need more hands-on support for bulk migrations, custom pipeline builds, and team-wide training. Reporting limitations are present, and I would like deeper analytics and customizable reports to track firm performance, staff productivity, and client trends without manual workarounds. The learning curve is steep, as the platform is powerful but complex. More structured training resources for staff would help with adoption, especially for teams with varying tech skills.

The automation features are especially powerful. TaxDome’s pipeline automation is powerful, but setting it up initially takes time and trial-and-error. For firms without a dedicated admin or tech-savvy staff, that setup phase can feel overwhelming.

While the task tracking and client management tools are solid, reporting options are somewhat rigid. It’s hard to generate custom performance or billing reports without exporting data manually.

The mobile app is handy for quick tasks and notifications, but it’s not yet a full replacement for the desktop interface—particularly for reviewing large documents or managing pipelines.

A few clients find the two-step login and email verification process cumbersome, especially older or less tech-comfortable clients.

**What problems is TaxDome solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before TaxDome, our team was juggling multiple tools—email, portals, task lists, and file storage—which made it hard to keep everything consistent and secure. Clients were uploading documents in different ways, communication was fragmented, and follow-ups often slipped through the cracks.

TaxDome solved those problems by centralizing our firm’s entire workflow.
Now, all client communication, document exchange, e-signatures, and task tracking happen in one place. Each engagement moves through a defined pipeline, so every team member knows the next step. Their desire to improve the system. There are many rough edges. At the same time, there are constant improvements in capabilities. The improvement to the capabilities is why it is Good. Over time, I have used this product, and they have fixed some of the rough edges. Looking forward to more good changes.

I wish there were more communication about updates. I also wish that changes and their dates were more visible without having to seek them out. like an update email or timeline link that is easy to find.

**What do you like best about TaxDome?**

TaxDome keeps me sane. I use it all day, every day.

Tax resolution work gets messy fast—IRS notices, transcripts, long timelines, clients sending things at odd hours, and cases that don’t move in a straight line. TaxDome gives me one place to keep everything organized without relying on memory or email threads.

I really like that clients actually use the portal. Documents get uploaded, forms get signed, and messages stay in one place instead of bouncing around email.

The workflows and automations are also a big plus. Once they’re set up, I don’t have to constantly remind myself what comes next in a case or chase clients for routine things.

It’s not the simplest tool out of the box, but that’s because it’s built for real practices, not just basic tax prep. For ongoing representation and resolution work, it fits the way the work actually happens.

**What do you dislike about TaxDome?**

The biggest downside is the learning curve. TaxDome is powerful, but it takes real time to set up workflows and automations in a way that actually fits how you work. Out of the box, it can feel like a lot.

Some things also aren’t as intuitive as they could be. You sometimes have to think the “TaxDome way” instead of the natural way you’d expect a process to flow.

Because it’s so customizable, it’s easy to overbuild early on. I had to simplify and refine over time rather than trying to perfect everything upfront.

That said, these aren’t deal-breakers—just the tradeoff for using a platform that can handle complex, long-running cases instead of simple, seasonal work.

**What problems is TaxDome solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TaxDome solves the problem of things slipping through the cracks.

In tax resolution work, cases run for months, sometimes longer, and there are a lot of moving parts—deadlines, documents, client follow-ups, and IRS correspondence. Before TaxDome, too much of that lived in email, spreadsheets, or my head.

Now everything is centralized. I can see where a case stands, what’s been sent, what’s missing, and what needs to happen next without digging through inboxes or notes.

It also cuts down on client back-and-forth. Clients upload documents, sign forms, and communicate through one portal, which saves time and reduces confusion on both sides.

The biggest benefit for me is consistency. Even when things get busy, the system helps make sure nothing important gets missed, which is critical in representation and resolution work.

**What do you like best about TaxDome?**

I like that it offers features that allow for you to manage the client communications, billing and workflows all in one place as well as signing documents. Client portal with easy access to files and up-loading. Engagement letters, proposal, quotes, all of these are located all in one place.

**What do you dislike about TaxDome?**

It is a little hard to use first off. Getting used to the terminology so that you know what you can do and how to do it. The videos are helpful but it takes a lot of time to get fully setup using the videos so you have to bite the bullet and spend the time.

**What problems is TaxDome solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tax Dome is solving the efficiency of being able to access the communication with the client, billing, workflows with tasks and to do list and the client portal all in one location. I love that I don't have to go here for this and here for that. And I will be transitioning clients to communicate with me through the portal so that they will not text me whenever they feel :) Once, I get the workflows fully set up and in place this will be a game changer, but I am still working on that part. I have "starter" workflows for now to get going. One for Tax Reso and one for Tax Prep. I still have some tweaking to do but overall, it is good.

*I am leaving this review in exchange for an additional month of subscription to TD. While I am receiving something for this, I've tried to be objective & give my honest opinion.*

-I appreciate how I can use TD for multiple aspects of my firm (e.g. engagement letters; workflow; signatures; client requests; etc.)
-The client portal is fantastic; my clients love it
-Automation: Its great how you can setup your workflows & tasks to automatically run and\or send client requests
-I appreciate how they seem to constantly be rolling out new features & seem to be thinking big picture in what they're adding (e.g. Juno collaboration)

**What do you dislike about TaxDome?**

-I would rate TD's ability to handle jobs and recuring work at a 3 on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the best. For example, I find it very confusing how it doesn't show you all the aspects of a job when you're in the "job" screen. I often have to have two monitors running to see a) the job\task I'm working on, and hen b) the next one coming up. I also find it frustrating that you can't pull recurring jobs forward. For example, if I have a job set to trigger every Friday; if I'm working ahead in a given week and want to work on that job on Thursday it is not available to work on. It also is not in my Job workflow until that Friday, so you can't really look ahead at what jobs are coming up that week. One final aspect that is frustrating is that the filters in the "Job" screen are weak (IMO). While sorting is fine, it doesn't save your settings, so if you've filtered & sorted your jobs and you click away for a second, when you come back its forgotten that & you have to re-filter & sort everything.

TD has allowed me to organize all of my client work, and it has given my clients an easy way to interact with me.

I would love to be able to do payments through TaxDome. However, there's no option currently for us to pass the credit card processing fee onto clients. As a result, we have to use CPACharge instead. I really wish there was an option in TaxDome for clients to take on that fee, which would simplify the process and avoid the need for extra calculations on our end to include the credit card processing fees.

I use TaxDome to centralize all client information and communication, allowing easy access and management of requests, tracking time, and generating work reports, improving our business efficiency.

It's clean Clients can sign up immediately and you could put them into an automated workflow that will have them set up as a client pretty quickly. However, task creation automation with API's and also with no shared Inbox makes it very difficult. They seem to be very stuck on certain ideas that definitely don't work that they seem to refuse to fix an update as they go through their iterations. Again, still the best so far between Karbon and Financial sense but they still have a long way to go.

No shared Inbox email like every other Crmp or company that exists making it very frustrating to work around.  They don't have any open API's, therefore creating tasks out of conversations automatically like many other applications is tough. They really need to open up their API and integrations so I can actually be more useful in working in tools like Google workspace and Intuit. There is so much that this could do that is just very slow on implementing. So I currently think they are the best available today but still far from where it should be.

Taxdome acts like an information highway for my business. It is an efficient and effective tool for my firm. Before tax dome we had many different softwares and avenues for clients to communicate and upload documents. Taxdome consolidates all of this while still able to make the process user friendly.

The price is quite steep for supplemental software of this kind. However, it has proven to be a valuable investment when it comes to streamlining many of the challenging aspects of managing a tax firm. I can't see myself adding any of my employees to it. With just one account, we're able to handle all the operations for our small firm. If the cost for additional seats were more affordable, we could include more users and make better use of the available features.

TaxDome has been extremely helpful in streamlining our workflows! I especially appreciate being able to view my pipelines to see where every file is in the process, when it was received, and what we might be missing to complete the file. Sending requests for documents is extremely helpful! A significant number of our clients prefer to use the online tools, which saves us a considerable amount of time compared to in-person appointments or even just accepting drop-offs. I love being able to look at a client file and find all the relevant information in one place, including communications, documents, signatures, and workflow, rather than using multiple systems. Locking documents to invoices has been a game changer! I'm no longer wasting time with phone calls or emails to remind clients that they need to pay their invoices. I can't describe the joy it brings to receive a completed organizer, with all relevant documentation, engagement letter, etc, so I can prepare a tax return, send out for approval, request signatures, and payment, all using one tool, and then get back the completed file from the client sometimes in a matter of minutes! Everything is done! All I have to do is e-file. This saves immeasurable amounts of time!

Learning the system was surprisingly straightforward. There are tons of "how-to" videos, which are extremely useful when getting started. It's a complex system, but it's very well-organized and easy to navigate. Plus, customer support is always available in chat, which made the transition much easier. We were able to move and integrate all of our client data in one upload.

TaxDome has become an indispensable tool in our daily operations!

**What do you dislike about TaxDome?**

It's a bit pricey, but I think in terms of time, it saves us; it has more than paid for itself! There are lots of templates, which are a great tool to get you started. But you need to take the time to customize the templates for your office. Once we got all of our organizers and templates set up, they are easy to use. However, they don't come fully customized "straight out of the box." New users need to dedicate time to learning and customizing everything that goes to client-facing. I recommend doing a lot of tests before releasing your first organizer, because sometimes getting everything to work just as you want it can be tricky. Once you have released a bunch of organizers, you can't change them after the fact. Send your first handful of organizers to friendly clients who will help you run down issues. This way, if you have any "bugs," you can work them out before you send to a large group.

Keeping all of information in one place! It's so helpful to have a system that keeps up with everything rather than using multiple platforms for different tasks (document management, contact management, digital signatures, etc.)

It has powerful organizational capabilities. It helps my practice run smoothly, and ensures all deadlines are met. TaxDome accomplishes multiple tasks in one app, which increases my efficiency.  

While they've implemented some AI features they've proceeded with thoughtfulness. 

The app just works - I don't get interrupted by AI popups that are happening with other software that's rushing to fly the AI Banner (such as QBO). It helps me be efficient, and clients like working with it.

It takes some work to get it set up, which can be challenging when you're already busy.

**What do you like best about TaxDome?**

TaxDome has all the tools that I need as a sole practitioner to give my clients a great experience. The cost is extremely affordbale.

**What do you dislike about TaxDome?**

It doesn't allow you to pass credit card fees onto customers. It doesn't allow you to send a proposal to a potential client without the potential customer having to set up an account.

**What problems is TaxDome solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to communicate with clients, know where all my projects are, and gives clients a secure place to upload and download docs.

**What do you like best about TaxDome?**

TaxDome has been a great place to centralize the work in our firm. The app has been very user-friendly for our clients. I love storing all their documents and communications in one place. It makes streamlining things much easier.

**What do you dislike about TaxDome?**

TaxDome has so many great features. The one downside is the time it takes to learn how to utilize it to its fullest. I can't wait to figure it all out, its just taking more time then I have right now.

**What problems is TaxDome solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has everything in one place for us, including our workflow. Once we get the pipelines set up where we need them, it will be even better.

The portal is easy to use for both the company and clients.It makes it easy to communicate with my clients and for them to upload any necessary doccuments.

**What do you dislike about TaxDome?**

TaxDome is easy to use, so there is nothing that I do not like.

**What problems is TaxDome solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TaxDome is helping me to be better organized and smooth out the process for filing taxes and monthly bookkeeping services.
