What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?

Everything action and activity on your website is recorded and can be accessed retrospectively. The Heap dashboard makes it extremely easy to create reports and graphs to gain meaningful insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?

While having access to incredible amounts of data can be blissful, it also makes it harder to navigate through the ocean of data that is available. Creating new reports can be unintuitive and difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Flexibility for layers of data to be viewed in context. Heap "Illuminate" really helps to surface items I may not have thought to look into before. Data quiz, while simple, has the effect of getting you to know some of your data trends better. Heap Replay's (we've only been through the trial) appears to have a lot of possible applications and the placement of where you can open a replay is well thought out. Lack of Flutter SDK and therefore, Visual Labeling of mobile side events for us (hopefully coming). Slight ambiguity between Visual Labeler default tagging and the Live Event viewer (supposed to be used to QA what was tagged in VL). The onboarding process through the 3rd party vendor felt inflexible for our needs and therefore didn't feel as though the value/price ratio was great. We were a lot further along with implementation and understanding than they seemed ready to address and work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thanks for your feedback, Josh! We’re excited to let you know that Heap has released many new capture SDKs including a Flutter SDK to track events in Heap. Details here: https://developers.heap.io/docs/flutter-bridge-installation

"Convenient for simple data"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?

It's easy to stand up a chart or dashboard with standard analytics (session count, conversion rates, A/B tests). I use the live data feed for QAing event tagging and for building dashboards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?

Heap can be glitchy. Pop up modals/panels can resize in funky ways. I wish I had the ability to start a 'week' at my choice of day, rather than Heap automated week durations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Beautiful analytics tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?

It is very easy to use and offers a lot of options to both technical and untechnical audiences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?

It has a limitation and will only work in Google Chrome. From my personal experience, this has been kinda annoying as I'm personally a Firefox user. But if you make sure you use Chrome, it will work flawlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"What a heap of data"
5/5
What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?

We previously used DataDog to understand user behavior and system behavior of our applications, but the introduction of Heap has made the product teams life tenfold easier to understand our user interactions and make decisions on which features are helpful, what customers like and the pain points of the application. Viewing historical actions for undefined events is a significant benefit for our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?

We are having some issues with getting it to work in shadow dom and interacting with iframes within the application, which Heap is aware of, and it would be nice if they could come up with a standard solution instead of us trying to HACK it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for diving into engagement + funnel + AB test metrics"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?

Heap is fast! If I'm doing an adhoc analysis, I can usually open up Heap and generate a view / chart of what I was looking for in just a couple of minutes or less. In my prior company, we used a different analytics tool and it was so clunky and slow that it deterred me from even doing the analysis. With Heap, I will sometimes do an analysis on the spot to answer a business question, which is amazing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?

There's some weird limitations in Heap that can make it difficult to use. For example, one thing I commonly try to do is get a list of users that were in a particular group of my AB test. In order to do this, I have to go through 1-2 extra steps of creating a Segment of users before I can get the list of users that were in that Segment, even though I've already built a funnel report that could generate the list of users I'm looking to get. It's possible that I might just be not familiar enough with the tool and that there's an easier way, but I've had at least 1 conversation with a Heap employee and I'm following the recommended steps they provided. "Better Performance Metrics"
4/5
What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?

I like the ability to easily pull performance metrics for marketing campaigns and use these to see how they impact customers throughout their lifecycle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?

For us, I don't think the downsides are heap related, but more related to our ability to get the right data into heap to get a complete view of our business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fantastic, retrospective analytics on-demand"
5/5
What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?

Once you get the hang of it - there's a bit of a learning curve - Heap is a fantastic platform to gain insight into your platform. Most importantly, data is collected from Day 1 - even if the event hasn't been defined, unlike other platforms. This is really useful as requests for analysis often ask for things you haven't been actively tracking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?

It does take you a little bit to understand the platform and to get up to speed with how everything is structured. Luckily, there's the 'Heap Academy' which has been a really helpful resource. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A simplified analysis to make decisions and solve contingencies"
5/5
What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?

Heap has worked very well for me; I consider it more valuable today than tools like Adobe Analytics. I like the intuitive user interface and dashboard; they make the work of monitoring, analyzing and study of the information we obtain through its functionalities more comfortable and practical. Heap helps us understand how users interact with our platforms, which has helped us define and solve user experience issues. The information we get is easily translated into reports and helpful in improving decision-making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?

The only thing he finds a bit disadvantageous compared to other competing tools is the lack of integrations with other industry solutions and customer service response time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great experience creating dashboards"

What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?

Lots of different types of charts and options makes everything easier, and also the suggestions or the auto-select on the chart type when you filter or add your data Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?

Sometimes it's difficult to update the data from the filters you add. If you try to use the date range the data never got filtered right at least in my case Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
