There are a variety of options to choose from in terms of types of questions, languages, and concepts to assess. We have been using HackerRank for already 2 years in a row for our Engineering Academy. There is so much know-how of interviewing that one can get started usung it out-of-the-box in a blink of an eye. The implementation for us was also rather simple and straightforward.

Furthermore the questions library is very extensive and is a solid base for tests. The video lesons in HackerRank Academy incl. the Learning Paths are completely sufficient to start using the platform efficiently.

In terms of integrations with Smart Recruiters, which we need, there are reasons preventing this on our side and so far we have not been able to use this features.

There isn't that much to dislike, but a thing that I see as a weakness is that new feature requests from customers are either not considered or realized after 10-12 or more months. I like how easy it is to send a large amount of technical screening to folks and assess their skills. I would say as a non technical person I don't like that I need someone technical to vet responses. Sometimes folk score lower as a result of simple errors, it would be great in the future if there was AI generated assessments of the report so that I could interpret them myself. Hackerrank is a must have if you are looking to hire software engineers. It is a great platform that makes taking coding interviews a breeze.
