"Useful document reader with not too complex integration"
What do you like best about Google Cloud Document AI?

Document AI has been extremely usful for us in OCR implementation. It was pretty straightforward to train, get up and running, and to integrate into our existing flow. The reader has been very accurate, even with a wide variety of documents that we process, without much additional training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud Document AI?

Some parts of the documentation were not 100% up to date, or were a bit ambigous to implement. I wouldv'e wished for more code examples for different use cases than they currently have. It was a bit unclear how to train (e.g. what parts of the desired text to include in training data exactly?) , so more clear instructions especially for non-technical implementators would be greatly appreciated! "One of the best digital documents data extractor"
What do you like best about Google Cloud Document AI?

It is one of the quickest and smartest Digital document data extractor whether its a pDF with complex data structure or it has tabular data.

No programming is required and anyone with basic understanding can train the model on the data being uploaded and extract the intended data from similar documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud Document AI?

Multilingual support is minimal and sometime data extracted from PDF is not in correct format for which one needs to do the manual intervention of re training the model. Some bit of API knowledge is also required which is not very friendly for non tech workforce Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Cumbersome Data Extraction Tool"
What do you like best about Google Cloud Document AI?

The documentation that Google Cloud Document AI provides is cumbersome. There were some parts that were not, up to date or a bit unclear the code examples for use cases were not helpful. I found training the model a bit confusing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud Document AI?

Having instructions for non technical users would be better. I am not impressed by the support and lacks the ability to extract data from PDFs. Google Cloud Document AI has its advantages there are areas where it falls short. The accuracy of data extraction is not consistently reliable which leads to errors in extracted information. "DocAI - Stricking a balance between Efficiency & Complexity"
What do you like best about Google Cloud Document AI?

DocAi can scan through the data in documents in various formats. It is particularly useful when the data is large or the document has a series of pages with different context. DocAi analyzes and understand the contents of the document and extracts information thus making the data easy to comprehend. It is also capable of extracting target information say in invoise, contracts, scientific repositories etc. The best part is this google tool can be integrated with other google tools and is user friendly. Another plus is if a pdf with images is text is uploaded say as in posters, it can extract the data from images as well! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud Document AI?

At the moment this tool is not free of cost, though one can try a free version. So cost effectiveness needs to be worked out in organizations. Definitely navigating the platform and exploring all its features can be time consuming! It will be further updated to integrated with other google services. It does pose a challenge with privacy and data protection laws. Other than that a wonderful tool to sort out the documentation process! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
